Going into this, I didn't realize that Liminal was part memoir - but Tannahill's fictionalization of his life is so fascinating that the facts didn't interrupt the flow of the story at all. I found this book almost impossible to put down as I raced through the intriguing episodes in Tannahill's life and the overarching theme of his relationship with his mother. This is an unforgettable read by a talented author.
