It's not easy to be a stepmom, that's a fact. Sometimes it's nice to read the experiences from other stepmoms, especially when you don't know any other stepmom beside yourself. Personally, I found my way to love a child I didn't gave birth too like my own, but I agree it's not an easy task.

I was very curious about this book and in the end, it was an interesting reading material. I don't agree with everything, but some things you need to learn from your own experience and not a single person (or a book) in the world can prepare you to do that. But the book did a good job, so thanks to all the stepmoms, for the idea and its realization.

reading this before, during and after my breakup to a man with a child was a gut punch (in a good "I'M NOT ALONE) way. Fully recommend for anyone who is a step mother or contemplating it. A solid read for those in the situation or those who enjoy reading books on parenting and society. Insightful and honest even about the squishy bad parts.
