Robin Bielman puts the fun in dysfunctional. Lips Close to Mine has a special kind of crazy that only Ms. Bielman can create. Harper is a touch neurotic. Between matchmaking mothers, a controlling father and a pesky attraction that refuses to go away, who can blame her. What happens when the man of of your nightmares becomes the guy of your dreams? Chaos! Levi and Harper are proof of why any Bielman novel is a class act. She never strives for perfection, only truth. Flaws and all. Her ability to allow us to laugh at ourselves is why she continues to be a constant on any bestseller list.
LOVED this second book in the Whereever You Go series. This is easily read standalone but I think you'd really enjoy the first book, Talk British to Me as well. This is Levi's story and it's fabulous!! Levi and Harper are amazing together. Their relationship is complicated. Well, not really, but Harper has up so many walls it makes it complicated. Levi plans on tearing down every one of her walls and find out exactly what the problem is. It won't be easy but he's certain he's up for the challenge!!
Put this one on the must read list! I highly recommend it.
This is the third book I've read by this author now. I'll be honest and say the cover caught my eye first with Lips Close to Mine--because come on, he's hot. Anyway, Robin's name was the second element that pulled me in and made me want to read the blurb.
Having enjoyed this author's previous work, I was excited to jump in this read. However, while I enjoyed it, I don't think it's my favourite book by her so far.
In general, I liked the plot of Lips Close to Mine. I felt for Harley and rooted for her relationship with Levi. I thought they worked well together, and I did feel a bond between them.
However, saying that, I thought this book was paced a little slowly at times and it took a bit long to get to the relationship and drama. I'll be honest and say I enjoyed Teague and Mateo's story more. That's not to say I didn't like Lips Close to Mine, but there was just something missing that slowed everything down.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read. It took me a bit longer to get through than normal, but for the most part it held my attention. If you haven't read anything by this author she is worth checking out.
I loved Mateo and Teague, but I absolutely adored Harper and Levi. I couldn't wait for their story, and Robin Bielman completely exceeded my expectations. The pain in their back stories really got to me, and I think it really added to the a authenticity of their relationship. Levi and Harper both suffer from different degrees of heartbreak, but they ultimately help each other to heal. Their chemistry is smoking hot, sizzling swoony goodness. The love/hate between them really added to the sexual tension simmering between them. I loved the effortlessness of their relationship and the way they fit together so perfectly. Levi's letters just added something extra special to this story. He's a super masculine guy but not afraid to show his soft side, and I love heros that are written that way. I really related to Harper's heartbreak, and I understood her struggles. Both characters are so easy to relate to and made this an incredibly enjoyable read. With equal parts humor and steam, this sexy romance will leave you breathless and give you all the feels!

4.25☆ I enjoyed Lips Close to Mine a lot. As the story was sweet, engaging and fun. But it also had moments of angst. Yet everything was balanced well. Which made it incredibly easy to read and hard to put down. Plus the characters were likable, and not just the main two Levi and Harper. But their friends, including Teague and Mateo from Talk British to Me. Which is actually a story I've never read. But that did not put me at a disadvantage. As this story can easily be read as a standalone and I would recommend it to others.
**4-4.5 stars** Robin Bielman has quickly become a must read author for me. After reading and loving Talk British to Me (the first book in her Wherever You Go Series), I jumped at the chance to read an ARC of Lips Close to Mine and I’m so glad I did!
Levi and Harper’s story had it all for me. Emotion, sweet, sexy (hot!), fun and two characters I was invested in and their HEA. It wasn’t an easy journey for these two. They both had painful pasts for different reasons, but Levi and Harper helped each other heal. A story of opening up your heart again to love when you didn’t think it was possible.
I highly recommend Lips Close to Mine. While it’s the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But don’t miss Book 1, Talk British to Me! It rocked too!

i really enjoyed talk british to me, which was the first book in this series. in lips close to mine we get to spend time with mateo and teague's best friends, levi and harper. and these two, are the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. they have some pretty serious emotional baggage and their angst is real and understandable and just ups all the feels.
i loved, loved, loved these two together. levi is seriously a total sweetheart. the way he consistently puts harper, his family, the commitments he makes first is just so dreamy. this guy is so swoonworthy. like, even the whole bet thing with elliot, while stupid, did not detract from what a perfect guy he was. because from the moment he was goaded into taking the bet, he didn't actually want to win it. he only always wanted harper.
harper is prickly and her defense mechanisms make it hard for her to open up and trust others. seeing how levi draws her out of her shell, how he gives her the strength and power to face her demons and take ownership of them in a way that lets her control the narrative in a positive, constructive way.
i love that levi and harper have a shared past, one that deepens their connection as they reconnect in the present as adults. i think it helps them navigate between fun and flirty to deep and meaningful with such ease. and these two swing from one extreme to the other all the time. and i loved it.
i really liked this book. and i'm hoping we get to see elliot and madison next. because i swear there is something brewing between those two.

The first book in the series (Talk British To Me) from author Robin Bielman was an outstanding read, so I was elated at the opportunity of reviewing Lips Close To Mine, the second instalment in the Wherever You Go series. While there were some likeable elements in the story, I felt it did not meet expectations. The characters actions and shenanigans felt contrived in scenes which did not sit well. Overall, this read did not leap at me.

4.5 stars - Awesome story. Totally love Levi and her.

Oh, I love it when a guy can just sweet talk, hang around, and totally immerse themselves into a girl's life. The past was supposed to stay in the past but who can deny a steamy man like Levi?
Part of a stand-alone series, Talk British to Me was book 1 and introduces us to the 4 guys that lived together. Sweet and sexy, that book was so fun to read! I was happy to get a glimpse of some of the guys in this story too. This is Levi's story.
Loaded with the ups and downs of dating and friends, along with the sleeping with a past friend but he/she cannot know I adore him/her scenes, the story gives us a taste of romance that is loaded with a bit of frenzy, family hysteria, passion, and also humor as only Robin Bielman can serve up. So entertaining and yet realistic too. I wanted more from the ending tho! boo-hiss
The author is so good and crafting a swoony love story loaded with hot ass guys you want to date along with girlfriends and wives you want to befriend. I will never tire of her stories!
Harper and Levi were a great couple. Both had reasons, very valid reasons, why they didn't want a serious relationship. The only difference was Levi wanted to at least be friends and Harper kept pushing him away.
Levi never gave up and Harper eventually have to in, but believed that it could be casual and work/friend only. Unfortunately, the more she got to know Levi, the more she liked him. Which was bad for her.
The way Ms. Bielman constructed this story and intertwove the reason Harper was terrified of letting anyone close and the relationship between Levi and Harper was masterfully done and I couldn't put the book down.
Will Levi be able to break down her walls? Will Harper be able to let Levi in? What will happen when Harper finds out about a bet Levi made?

Good grief, you guys. Are you reading Robin Bielman yet? Because if you are not, you need to remedy that immediately. No joke - these books are so good. I completely lost myself in Lips Close to Mine and frankly, I sort of want to just start all over at the beginning and do it again.
This, the second book in the Wherever You Go series is a little more intense than the first. I felt like I went a little deeper with Levi and Harper for some reason. The tone felt more serious overall, but I wouldn't call this an overly angsty or emotional book. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, a ton of time spent smiling dreamily at my Kindle, and I walked away with a full and happy heart. But it's definitely emotional and it's not completely without angst. It's just a whole balanced package, really and I adored it.
Speaking of adoring, let's talk about Levi. *swoony sigh*. This guy. I couldn't get enough of him. He stole my heart and made it race and skip beats and do all kinds of crazy "falling in love" acrobatics. He was perfect. The perfect hero, and perfect for Harper, who despite her fair amount of baggage and reinforced walls around her heart - did her own fair share of stealing mine. These two together were all fiery chemistry, adorable banter and sweet, sensual moments.
I loved the storytelling. This book was effortless to read, and interesting to boot (even beyond the love story). It works just fine as a standalone, but since I did read (and LOVE) Talk British to Me, I loved catching up with Mateo and Teague a bit. Honestly - I loved everything. This is only the second book I've read by Ms. Bielman, but based on the way I've devoured both of them and the sort of euphoric high I find myself in at their conclusion - it's probably safe to say that I'm a huge fan now and will most definitely be back for more!
Cute friends to lovers romance with a bit of angst. Levi Pierce and Harper McKinney think they want a physical relationship only. Both have had some pretty serious heartache in their past. But they can’t help but really start to like each other the more time they spend together. Can they get work through their pasts to have a future? Told in dual POV, Lips Close to Mine is a sweet romance.

Lips close to mine is Second book in the Wherever you go series and can be read as a standalone.
Levi and Harper, both have had their hearts bruised making their commitment phobia a believable and relatable thing. When they met and had a one night stand, they didn’t realize that their best friends are in love and being thrown in each others orbits constantly, is not going to help the chemistry between them.
I loved the banter, the chemistry and the emotional connection between Levi and Harper. I was hooked from the first page and completed it in the wee hours of the morning.
I enjoyed catching up with Teague and Mateo and can’t wait for Elliot’s story.
I like this book. I'll skip the blurb and get right down to it. Levi and Harper have been friends for a while. Friends covers the one night stand they had a couple years ago. Harper doesn't want to see Levi and now since her best friend is dating Levi's best friend and roommate it leaves Harper with few options.
Add to that the job she wants very badly, working for a water safety program is run by his brother in law and Harper is set to shoot some PSA's for the fledgling program. Stuck in a pinch Brad calls his brother in law to fill in... yep it's Levi. Harper has a very personal reason for wanting this job so badly and it isn't because she absolutely doesn't want to work for her father who continues to pressure her to join the family business. They're a wealthy clan these folks. She and roomie live in the guest house behind her aunts mansion. So, coupled with Levi filming the PSA's with her, her cousins wedding gets moved up by months, yes you know the whole pregnancy thing and Harper is in the wedding. Sigh. It's one thing after the other. Only Brad, who was then her swim coach when she was 16 and headed for Nationals and possibly the Olympics when she suddenly stopped swimming, her family and her best friend know why Harper doesn't date, she refuses to discuss her past even though it's quite obvious to Levi there's some issues there. He's got his own. An ex that yanked his young chain every which way and makes a grand appearance in this book. No one likes her and even Levi's roommate threaten to take out a restraining order on her if she shows back up at their house. I loved that part!! Throw in some steam and presto!
Levi shares his past hoping to get a glimpse into Harpers. No such luck. But then one night...
But these two have two very different views on their relationship. That was interesting to watch that unfold, and when the two of them verbalized how they saw things... well... let me tell you. NOT! I'm not telling you. This was a great story, it ran a little long but that's my own personal opinion. It was the ongoing dialogue that made it so. I have to hand it to Levi, he never gave up! You have to love a guy who is persistent in the best way!
Great story and a must read.

After reading Talk British to Me (book 1 in the Wherever You Go series), I knew I needed more Robin Bielman in my life. However I was not expecting to fall in love with Levi and Harper quite as much as I did (if possible I think this book is better than book 1). The story, although a complete standalone, does carry on from Talk British to Me with Mateo’s flatmate being Levi and Teague’s flatmate being Harper. After hooking up with Levi in a bar and having a one night stand with him, Harper has no intention of ever seeing him again, she’s had her heart broken once, and she isn’t willing to let it happen ever again. What she doesn’t plan on is the fact that they seem to have so many mutual contacts that it is practically impossible for her to avoid him, one thing she does know though.....there is not going to be a repeat performance of that night, ever again. I loved the story, so emotional in places, yet with so much humour. Told in dual POV we get to see both characters flaws, of which there are a few, both have their demons, along with some well founded trust issues. With wonderful writing, lots of sexy moments and a whole host of interesting characters I was hooked from the first page, a firm five star read for me. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
