This book will make you rethink our life as it is and make you want to live in ways that are more present and have more meaning. I loved reading this book and feel like it really inspired me!

A brilliant and novel concept about inspired living told in a monthly chapter form with topics such as love, commitment, faith, challenges, death, freedom, middle age, children, cancer, dog poop! With question and answer pages to help you think and journal for yourself.

I honestly don't know how to review A Year of Inspired Living. It was magical and inspiring, heart-warming and moving. I loved it and would recommend reading it for sure. I've read it several times and loved it more each time I read it.

Honestly, don't know what else to say about the book but it was magical and read it!

what a cute book! I'm truthfully not a huge fan of books you have to read day by day or little by little, and truthfully. I read this book over the course of a few weeks, not the entire year. never the less I really enjoyed the thoughts and prompts a lot!

This book would make a beautiful gift for you or someone you know who is looking to grow personally and spiritually. It was a little too basic for my own needs but know some people I will gift this to. The book is set up to go through in a calendar year but you can choose a section of interest and dive right in wherever you like.

I am grateful to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for a preview copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and HCI Publishing for an ARC of this book in return for my honest opinion.

I skimmed the first few months hoping that inspiration would come but gave up by March when it was evident it was not a book for me. I couldn’t connect with the author or her purpose for the book. To me it seemed more like excerpts from the authors journal unravelling parts of her personal stories and the lessons or perhaps inspiration she has learned from them, with a few well chosen, apt quotes from wise people such as Mother Theresa.

I felt that the pages of writing starting each month could have been cut to a paragraph, with the lovely quotes intact. I also felt that the monthly question posed was scratching the surface of what an inspired life could be for me, rather than digging deep and really asking more heartfelt, questions.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to view this book.

A nice book giving exactly what the title suggests: a year full of inspirations for life.
Depending on if you have read or even just flipped through other books on similar topics than this one or not, this will either be full of inspirations OR it will be very similar to the other books you already read/seen.

Sadly for me it was not a huge amount of new things, inspirations or ideas, but i am a rather avid read of this type of book. So if you are like me, this book will not offer you any new ideas or inspirations -i would guess.

That doesn't mean that its a bad book, its not at all! Its a good book, and if you are new to this topic its a fantastic book for you.

I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a sweet and simple guide to start living in a more thoughtful manner. I did end up doing some of the activities in the book and they were helpful, but I don't think I would follow the ebook version for an entire year. I'm sure the book would be more accessible in a paper format.

Are you ready to dig deep? To laugh? To cry? To get real with yourself? This is not just a book to read, it's a book to work through. Don't get scared, you need this. We need to laugh and reflect, to cry and meditate on ourselves, our lives and our families. Kelly Martinsen brings so many different topics to light with this book and each one is so beautifully presented throughout the book. My favourite part is how she "keeps it real". She doesn't hide behind paper and pen, she opens up herself to the reader. It's like having a best friend to journal with all year. To share your passions, your thoughts, ideas and fears. It's heartwarming and eye opening at the same time. I can't wait to journey through this book all year. Ok..I must confess, I couldn't just read January and stop. I had to just take a peek at the next month, and the next. You will see... you just want to know what's next. A great way to start the New Year is to "get real", "write it down", and become a new YOU.

I think the idea for the book is really good but not all the chapters resonated with me. It was a little bit too personal and subjective. I found it a bit disturbing to be told not to judge if I didn't like anything as the letters were just to herself and were only being shared with me, the reader. Surely anything published is done at the authors' risk of criticism and that is part of being vulnerable and of choosing to put yourself out there, to write a book that will ultimately make you money.. Some of the chapters were interesting and some of the quotes very good. Overall it is a good book that will appeal to lots of women out there, especially American women.. I think it will also be much better in hard format, especially when you can add your own writing to it. Thank You
