5 stars With This Man, book 4 of 4. Jesse Ward is back with count-downs & punitive fucks, but also a mature, vulnerable & compromising Jesse!

“Your Punishment Fuck is cancelled.”

Books in This Man series should be read in order:
Book 1: This Man
Book 2: Beneath This Man
Book 3: This Man Confessed
Book 4: With This Man

This Man Trilogy is the intense, epic saga about private sex club owner Jesse Ward aka The Lord, Mr. Sexy, Bossy, Compulsive and Secretive Extraordinaire, in his relentless pursuit and seduction of interior designer, Ava O’Shea. Their story was filled with covert pasts and hidden agendas! A wild, bumpy and emotional journey loaded with intrigue, shockers, undiluted lust and mind-bending sex plus their compulsive and intense love.

It introduced us to all that is sex/fucking with Jesse:
Reminder fucks, Sleepy sex, Make friends sex, Shower fucks, Hangover sex, Catching up sex, Sense fucks, Seeing stars fucks, Apology fucks, Possessive fucks, Retribution fucks, Sleepy celebration sex, Alfresco fucks, Proposal fucks, Truth fucks, Compromise fucks, Quiet fucks, Sleepy twilight sex, Romantic fucks and Punishment fucks.

With This Man, book 4 opens up to life for Mr. and Mrs. Ward and their family. It’s been over a decade since we last saw them and aside from Jesse being slightly traumatized by his impending big five-o, their life is its own kind of well-balanced and harmonious normal. Until tragedy strikes. This is the story of their long road back.

Brilliantly, sexily and humorously told in flashbacks and unfolding current events. Jesse is still over-the-top bossy, dirty-talking, possessive, needy, inflexible larger-than life with count-downs and corrective fucks. But there is also the protective father, at times, compromising husband and the vulnerable, entertaining somewhat self-reflecting and humble man…

Jesse Ward/50 years/Biz man/Gym owner/Dk blond hair/Green eyes/Father/6’3”
After all these years I find I’m still on “Central Jesse Cloud Nine”. Eight words to describe Jesse Ward aka The Lord: Intense, bossy, compulsive, enigmatic, possessive, impatient, dirty-talker and reflective.

Ava O’Shea-Ward/37 years/Former designer/Biz woman/Dk brown hair/Dk brown eyes/Mother/5’3”
Eight words to describe Ava (O’Shea) Ward: Easy-going, strong, focused, stubborn, trusting, resilient, patient and meek.

With This Man, told from dual POVs, is a long-ish extended epilogue with just the perfect blend of intrigue, steam, romance, surprises, angst and suspense. Going in I had no idea what to expect given how book 3 left Jesse and Ava, but I am happy to report Ms. Malpas did a phenomenal job of evolving their story and pulling us into current events while keeping it true to the characters we love. There are count-downs & theme fucks courtesy Jesse who’s his usual bossy and possessive self, but we also see the man he must become to protect his family and his love for his Ava.

Captivating! Intense! Epic. Three. Two. ONE. ZEROOO! I say 6-ish stars!
“He rolls those damn gorgeous hips into my groin, using his power over me like the weapon it is. “We need to make friends.”

I never thought we’d get more of The Lord himself but when it was confirmed, the countdown was officially on.

I was a little worried with how the series finished if he would still be the guy we know & love when his life we get to see is 13 years later.

Well all I’m going to say is WOW OH WOW !!!!

Laughed ✅
Cried ✅
Swooned ✅
Fell deeper in love ✅

I am so glad we got another glimpse into the lives of everyone we’ve grown to love and have living in our hearts.

The Lord is back and with a tragedy that could end his world.

Ava had an accident and she doesn't remember the last few years of her life, meaning she doesn't remember her life with Jesse and nothing could be worse for him.

Jesse won't give up, he once made Ava fall in love with him and he is determined to do it again, because hey! Who can resist him but now they have two more reasons to get their life back.

Ava is so confused because when she wakes up, she is living a different life than she knew and finding herself with a family, with a man like Jesse is nothing that she could have imagined.

It was so sweet and heartbreaking to see Jesse trying to win back Ava because it was something out of his reach. He is just asking for a new chance to make everything all right again. For him and for his family.

Get ready to fall in love again with The Lord and pray for Ava to do the same.

A GAZILLION STARS!

The Lord is back...better than ever with his everything Ava. Their love story was beautifully flawed and their road to forever was riddled with complications but every moment and every decision was so worth it by the end. We watched them fall, grow, deepen, and expand their love in the This Man trilogy but now they are back gracing our kindles with a fourth installment and it's not too be missed!

Sexy. Provocative. Intense. Suspenseful. Unforgettable. With This Man was an amazing installment in this series (definitely not to be read as a standalone!) and filled my heart with a lot of Jesse Ward love. If there's one thing we know about him... he'll do anything for his wife, his lover, his forever. And when that bond is tested and new complications arise, he'll stop at nothing to to remind her exactly who she is, why she is, and what she means to him.

Y'all holy smokes.....! if you thought Jesse couldn't get any better, think again. Older. Wiser. More irresistible. Still completely undeniable in every fucking way. Get ready to fall in love all over again and be reminded many, many delicious times that she is his.

If you haven't already read this series then honestly I'm not sure what you are doing with your life. It's easily a top five of all time for me. Run and find out about all the hype about the Lord.

I highly recommend this book.

My dear sweet Lord, I’m on central Jesse Cloud Nine!
With This Man is bloody BRILLIANT! My favorite book of the year!!! 🖤🖤

Jodi / With This Man....Seriously EFFING PERFECT!

In book 3, I finally came to truly understand Jesse and Ava's unbelievable chemistry and OTT antics. It was my absolute favorite. I loved it immensely and wasn't sure how JEM would top the pregnancy and subsequent delivery of the twins. If you've followed my reviews for any length of time, you know I love me some babies! But I needn't have worried, With This Man is on a whole other level of brilliance.

Shockingly, the author is able to pay homage to the love story we've all come to love while simultaneously allowing us to relive it and fall in love with this couple in a completely different light. It's sheer and unadulterated BRILLIANCE! I CANNOT STRESS enough how much I love this book! It's every single little thing I wanted and more.

Jesse finds himself in a situation he feared, but never really expected. The love of his life doesn't know him. His heart broke. My heart broke. Man oh man, I think I cried throughout. It was just so beautiful! The drama is bigger than ever and so is the LOVE!

Stop reading this rambling review and go READ THE BOOK!
It's a TOP FAVORITE and I give it my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

I can’t tell you how excited I was to find out that my chosen date for the arc review blog tour was on 3-21. (3-2-1, Zero Baby)

WITH THIS MAN by Jodi Ellen Malpas was beyond a 5 star read for me.
I loved it so much that I can only hope that Jesse and Ava’s kids will someday each get a book just so we can visit with them all once again.
Picture me attached to the characters like Ava’s baby chimp hold because I’m not ready to let go of them all just yet.

Five-ish years ago, I read THIS MAN by Jodi Ellen Malpas and Jesse immediately stole my heart.
THIS series!!!!
(Both literally and figuratively)

If you have not read the previous books, you must!!
You won’t be sorry.
I’ve read the series 3 times – it’s THAT amazing.
(This Man, Beneath This Man, This Man Confessed & All I Am (Drew’s story))

Jesse endeared himself to me in a way I’ll never forget and has remained as one of my top favorite book boyfriends still to this day.
He’s sexy, overprotective, controlling, overly possessive, unreasonable most times, intense, overbearing, but all in an extremely adorable way that comes from his huge, devoted, overflowing heart full of love for Ava and now his kids. (I’m sure that’s a run-on sentence, but it’s the best way to describe the incomparable alpha)
He’ll do whatever it takes to protect the ones he loves and sometimes that comes at the expense of frustration and the feeling of being smothered.
I can’t tell you how many times I laughed and shook my head at him.

If you’ve ever wanted to try an audiobook before but haven’t yet, this one might win you over.
The male narrator, Jack George, was an amazing Jesse.
I listened to the 1st part at a 1.25 narration speed and then changed it to 1.5 and at both speeds, he was perfect.
His timbre, accent, timing, and mannerisms were spot on. (I should write MANORisms)
His mumblings and frustrating growls had me cracking up and would be EXACTLY how I imagined Jesse sounding.
I had already read the arc, but couldn’t resist listening to 16 hours of Jesse.

Jesse’s grappling with being turning 50 was hilarious, as well.
Being older, I am right there with him.
I totally understand how in your mind you feel younger but are reminded daily/hourly that you’re definitely not.
It doesn’t help that Ava is much younger than him.

This book begins 12 years later where we get a peek into their happy contented lives and daily routine.
The witty banter and explosive chemistry between Jesse and Ava is felt with every line and especially when they “make friends”.

It’s not a spoiler because it’s in the blurb, but Ava is involved in an accident and loses her memory of the last 16 years, which is before she was ever trampled by the Lord of the Manor, Jesse Ward.
Impatient Jesse is tasked with making sure Ava falls in love with him all over again and bless his heart, it wasn’t that easy the first time around.

We get to catch up with secondary characters and are treated to a walk down memory lane without it being a re-write of the series.
The layers of their story unfolded seamlessly and not only did we get to experience some of the things that made us love them, but new nuances and Jesse’s POV was an added bonus.
I actually found myself agreeing with Jesse’s overprotectiveness.
With his earlier losses and Ava’s accident, he had every right to worry.

I was pleasantly surprised at how many times “Mrs. Ward” was said.
I love having that as my real name and my husband’s first name starts with a “J”, as well.
Drew and Reya even had the same wedding song as we did.

The parts of the book that made me gasp, cry, laugh, worry and even laugh while crying are all spoilers.
There’s romance, steamy scenes, angst, suspense, loss, heartbreak, and bliss.

It went beyond my expectations and I’ll mention again how much I would LOVE future books about their kids when they’re grown.
I am STILL on Central Jesse Cloud Nine and smiling like a nutter as I type.
Long live the Lord.
End of.

Jesse "The Lord" is back. Five years after the release of This Man Confessed, we have a new book where we can keep track of what happened to Jesse and Ava. With a leap of thirteen years, we see what happened to the Wards, how their lives are. And I can say that after so long, this is wonderful.
Jesse and Ava are still married and have retained all that passion that has always marked them. The twins, now teenagers, are part of the plot, the family interaction is an important part of the narrative. At age 50, Jesse still fret about the age difference between him and his wife, though he does not admit it. He remains explosive, controlling and above all, very passionate. All kinds of "lovemaking" still exist, as does the fact that Ava is his life. When she suffers an accident, Jesse's well-calculated world comes down.
The book will make the reader cry. If you, like me, are a fan, watching what happens to them and being unable to do anything, after so many things that they have already gone through, is pure torture. I cried for Ava and I suffered with Jesse. Unable to do anything to help her, Jesse then decides to fight with the weapons he has: he'll show Ava why she fell in love with him. He will guide her on a journey through ancient memories.
And at this point we see what bright Jodi Ellen is. She was able to merge important facts from the series in this new book, which added a beautiful tone to the plot. Being able to revisit and remember all these scenes was very special. And more special was to witness how much Jesse and Ava love is really epic. The two not only fell in love in the past, but in the present with everything that happened, they fall in love again. Ava loves this strange man and Jesse fortifies his love for her, proving that he loves her no matter the circumstance.
The classic scenes are a great bonus for the reader: the meeting at The Manor, the purchase of the infamous short dress, the drunkenness with the girlfriends, the calla lily, John's rides, the peanut butter, my favorite - the jokes at Jesse’s age, among others. All this served to connect the original trilogy with this new book. The other characters also give their faces: Matt, Sarah, Kate, Sam, Drew, Raya, John. All are part of the story and gain their own highlight.
A threat from the past returns to disturb the couple already so fragile by all events. And in the midst of so much drama, so many memories of the past, the reading is blended between joys and sorrows. The final unfolding of the climax, I confess I did not like it. I did not like what happened to an important character. It was not necessary for Jesse to finally realize that he can not control everything, detach himself from the past, and finally walk with his own legs. That was the only fault within the work in my opinion.
Jodi Ellen once again managed to deliver to readers a beautiful book involving Jesse and Ava, proving that Jesse is really her main character, the most important of her career.
As a reader I loved another new book of my favorite characters. As a fan, I was ecstatic with the brilliance of the book, how all the original material was honored and how this new book completes a brilliant trilogy. But deep down, I wish I had kept the sweet illusion of the end of the third book.

I fell in love WITH THIS MAN and this series ALL OVER AGAIN! 5 stars! Review to follow.
UPDATED:
Jesse Ward. The Lord. I fell in love WITH THIS MAN and this series all over again! Jessie trampled my heart…but will he trample Ava’s?

This book is not a retelling of everything that happened in the first three books. With This Man, takes place years after Jessie and Ava’s story ended in This Man Confessed. Ava is in a severe car accident and sustains a brain injury. She wakes up not remembering Jesse and her children. They are erased from her memory, and now Ava believes that she is a single 22-year-old. Jesse has to make Ava fall in love with him all over again. He is determined to get Ava’s heart to remember him. Let's face it, Jesse can be an acquired taste, so he has his work cut out for him. But who can forget The Lord? There is no one like Jesse Ward.

With This Man is primarily told from Jesse’s point of view, which was brilliant in itself. JEM seamlessly peppered this story with the right amount of history, without making this book feel like it was just a regurgitation of the earlier books in this series. She created a brand new, fresh, sexy, and captivating romance. Getting into Jesse's crazy, cocky and demanding brain was everything!

Before I picked this book up, I wondered if I was going to feel lost since I started this series in 2013. Let me tell you there is no way you will forget The Lord and Ava’s roller coaster ride of a romance. Dare I say, this might be one of my favorite books by JEM! FIVE stars!

I Love Jesse Ward.......End Of!!!
For lovers of the This Man series, being back with Jesse and Ava is wonderful. The circumstances are a bit daunting. Ava losing 16 years in her mind. Can Jesse bring the memories back, can he make her love him again, will she remember the children?? Their love is unconventional and off the charts crazy at times but it’s them and if she can’t remember then can he make her love him all over again? Ava is his world and without her, there is no world for Jesse Ward.

“She reigns supreme. She is my world. My life. My day, my night, my air, water, and fire. F**k, what would I ever do without her? I’d die of a broken heart, I just know it. Turn to dust. Fade to nothing.”

I LOVED every minute of being in #CentralJesseCloudNine. This story takes Jesse on an emotional rollercoaster. He’s still the demanding, passionate, devoted, obsessed, fanatical, sexy, crazy man who loves his wife Ava with all his soul. It’s his fierce love for Ava that keeps him going. And while Ava can’t remember, she feels and knows in her soul that Jesse is her life as well as the kids. Their journey from forgetting to remembering is filled with the telling of past memories, being with their friends, being with their twins and a lot of “making friends”. And the twist that comes to the Ward family - Perfect!!!!

If you love Jesse and Ava, this story is a must read. This series is one of my all time favorites and to get a Book #4 from the author was fanfreakingstatic!!!!!

I jumped up and down. I danced. I yelled. I was so excited to hear there would be more Jesse. Not only that but we get a book from his POV!! Let me tell you, I was so not disappointed. This book had me crying. It had me laughing. It had me swooning. It had me wanting to throw my kindle. It had me going through every known emotion reading this story. I felt like I was on a roller coaster that I never wanted to get off of.

It was beautifully written and it reminded me why I loved Jesse Ward so much and he is still one of my top book boyfriends. I could continue to read these characters and never get bored. This is one of my favorite all time series and this book was a perfect addition to this series. It is one I will definitely be rereading over and over again.

LOUISA'S 5 Blush Review

Oh, Jodi Ellen Malpas I love you even more than I did just a few days ago.

Jess "The Lord" and Ava have always been one of my favorite couples and JEM has come through once again to give us some more of their love story. It's 13 years later and their love is just as strong as it was the moment their eyes met at the Manor. They overcame so much in those years but one moment in time could change it forever.

This book is like a walk down memory lane. Ava loses her memory and Jesse needs to "remind her" of their love story. The good, the bad and the ugly.

"You will remember...You and I are a formidable force, Ava. Nothing has defeated us in the past, and I'm not about to let it now."

I have been doing a re-read (well listen via Audible) of the previous 3 books in the series. I am so glad I did that. I have just finished remembering all the fun these two had and having Jesse retell the story again (bit by bit) and from his, POV has given me new insight into who Jesse is.

Seeing a more vulnerable Jesse and a bad ass Ava made me smile. Ava continues to defy Jesse, constantly and Jesse continues to try and control Ava!

"Never give up, do you hear me? We have too much to fight for."

"I only have eyes for you...Fuck, you look lethally sexy when you get yourself off."

I have been left on "Central Jesse Cloud Nine" for life now. There are books that you read that you will always want more of, Jesse and Ave were always that couple that I want more of. I am so happy that JEM has given us this updated look into their lives and I finished reading with a smile on my face.

"He's my husband, the most devoted, adoring, gorgeous example of a man any woman could hope to have."

Christina's 5+++ Blush Review

The MOST satisfying ending to one of our favorite series.

As true bibliophiles, we all have that one book (or series) that we wish we could completely erase from our memories so we could read it again and FEEL everything we felt the first time. Like the first time Jesse gave Ava the countdown. Or the first time he gave her one of his many f*cks. The first time they had a "tub talk" or the first time they had sleepy twilight sex. Fans of the This Man Series will attest to the fact that there is nothing quite like the first time we met the Lord of the Manor. The talented and lovely Jodi Ellen Malpas rips us from wherever we are in our daily lives and plops us right back in the magnificent world of Jesse and Ava Ward. It's utterly perfect.

Following a brutal car crash, our dear Ava loses her memory and we witness Jesse courting her all over again. But this time, we see so much more of our enigmatic Jesse Ward. We see Jesse the father (can you say exploding ovaries?), Jesse the husband (swoon), and Jesse the vulnerable man tasked with trying to get his own wife to fall in love with him again. Through this process we glimpse some of our favorite scenes from the previous novels woven into a completely fresh story line that is fast paced, suspenseful and sexy as hell. Gone is the unreasonable control freak of years past (sort of). In his place is a loving and protective alpha father and husband who would literally die to protect his family. If you weren't in love with Jesse Ward before (please see a doctor because there's something wrong with you) then witnessing him love his children and care for his injured wife will be your beautiful downfall. At times, this book is heartbreaking. Devastating, even. It's also unapologetic in it's honesty about what a mature albeit healthy and sex-filled marriage looks like. At other times, it's laugh out loud funny and heartwarming. It's pretty much everything you loved about the first three novels and SO MUCH MORE. Even though so many years have past since we last lived in their world, JEM does an incredible job of seamlessly bringing everything together and leaving us with the most satisfying ending to one of our favorite series.

Oh, The Lord.
Lord of The Manor.
The Lord of Alpha Males.

His Lady.
His everything.
His love.

His World.

In an instant everything changes. His world is tilted on its axis. With this, we see a side that we could not in the first three books. A man who is broken.

How can he fix this?
How is he supposed to feel?
How is he going to survive?

“She has forgotten me. Forgotten our kids. What is this madness?”

I loved seeing this side of him! You felt everything that he said, felt what he was going through, and thank the Lord: his fucks. His love for his family and his friends is fierce. He showed how deep his love for Ava is. How he adores her and simply cannot be without her, she such a lucky lady! He becomes a man on a mission: help her remember and to make her love him again. They have been through so much but this a big road bump and to see their current lives so jumbled, and to see the outcome, trust me you will cheer them on and swoon at the same time. Naturally we are given are given some angst, a smidge of suspense and a tragic incident (not Ava’s accident) that will leave you breathless and tweeting Jodi: How VERY dare you!

“I once told you that I wanted to look after you forever.” I hold her eyes, never wavering. “I meant it, baby. Forever isn’t over yet. Never will be, not for us. I love you. You are the best part of me, Ava. The greatest part. That can’t be forgotten.”

We saw all of Ava in the first three books but this one is my favorite. A male pov can be tricky to write but Jodi showed us that this was simply not a struggle. With This Man, is a wonderful added addition to this series and their love. Attesting that love with always guide you through.

This was a bit of a disappointment for me. While I loved the This Man series, this book is just a rehashing of that story. While the main character loses her memory, Jesse just regurgitates their history in order to stir her lost memories of their lives together. Especially her own kids she can't remember.

I think a novella would have been sufficient, this is too long and too drawn out.

“I meant it, baby. Forever isn’t over yet. Never will be, not for us. I love you. You are the best part of me, Ava. The greatest part. That can’t be forgotten.”

We’re not going to lie, we were very hesitant when we heard Jesse and Ava were getting another book; one in which Ava would suffer a memory loss that meant losing their tumultuous, passionate, intense and obsessive history. Losing their magnificent love story. We’ll admit we went back and forth on whether to read it or not but of course as soon as it landed on our kindles we dropped everything and got stuck in. This is Jesse after all, no one waits for Jesse, right? Three…two…one….zero, baby.

‘Every move this man makes, everything he says, all his facial expressions and reactions, they all touch me somewhere deep, and my gut tells me it’s all okay. Everything is fine. Instinct tells me how to love him. My mind tells me how to handle him. I’m slowly putting it all together, figuring him out. He is the biggest part of who I am.’

We were sucked back into their world immediately, feeling as if we never left. There is no question, this is Jodi Ellen Malpas at her best. This series is her best, this couple is her best. This series is synonymous with this Author. It was perfection. Truly wonderful. With This Man is a story we didn’t know we needed nor craved. We can finally say we have read the ultimate ending to one of our favourite series and it made us laugh, cry and swoon with our hearts in a puddle on the floor. From the first page to the last we were riveted, feeling as if we were back with old friends. All our hesitancy and uncertainty vanished within the first sentences. This is without question one of the best revisits we’ve ever read to a series we hold so close to our hearts.

“Jesse?” she murmurs sleepily in my ear, and I hum my prompt for her to go on. “I think I’m falling in love with you.”

‘Remember, I demand silently, boring holes into the back of her head, willing the memories to rise to the surface. Remember me. Remember us.’

When Authors decide to write another book in a much loved series that takes the direction of a much treaded path you get wary, however, this storyline was written and handled in such a way that it felt fresh and exciting. There was no repetition nor rehashing of storyline, rather- it felt completely new and exciting. A new chapter if you will. With This Man was brilliantly written and it was so easy to slip back into the lives of Jesse and Ava. Jodi Ellen Malpas is without question completely at ease with her characters, this story coming naturally thus it was a joy to read. It felt effortless.

“You accepted me because you were as hopelessly in love with me as I was with you. You couldn’t be without me, either. You let me take the lead and you followed willingly. You let me lavish you with the attention and suffocation, because you knew it’s what I needed. You learned how to deal with me, Ava, and you are the only person in this world who can.”

We’re not going to go into specifics as every reader who loves this series as much as we do should experience it like we did. We have to say; experiencing this story from mainly Jesse’s pov broke our hearts, whilst the man is still infuriatingly cocky and controlling, he loves Ava and their kids with a passion that seconds nothing and no one. He has a mammoth fight on his hands as a consequence of Ava’s memory loss; however this is ‘The Lord’ we’re talking about here, he can trample anything and anyone; especially something that negatively impacts his marriage to the love of his life; the wonderful and sassy, Ava. Their banter was hilarious, their passion intense and their love for one another immense. Nothing will stand in their way and we were reminded of everything that makes their love so incredibly special.

“I can see why I fell in love with you,” she whispers, grazing her palms over my stubble.

“Because I’m an Adonis in bed?”

“And out of bed….You’re the perfect mix of man. Big, strong, passionate, devoted. You love with everything you have.”

“And I’m nothing without you.”

“And everything with me.”

We really don’t have enough words nor accolades for With This Man, it had everything and more with added ghosts from the past as well as a surprising suspense. But mostly, it was about a love that proves it can conquer anything and everything placed in its way.

‘I’m human. I’m a dad. A husband. My family is both my biggest weakness and my greatest strength. I live and breathe for them, and that will never change. Until the day I die, it will always be about them.’

Jesse and Ava Ward are living a perfect life. Both are in great shape with twins and just in as much love as when they met…if not more. But after an accident, Jesse’s world is falling apart and he finds that he’s the only one that can put Ava back together. Now he’ll do whatever it takes to help her fall in love with him all over again.

“This woman has me captivated every day of our lives together. Not just when I have her in my arms, or when I’m buried deep inside her. But with everything she does. Every time she looks at me, speaks to me, touches me. I’m the luckiest man alive, and I thank the Fates every minute of every day. I love her with a fierceness that gets stronger by the second.”

All I can say is Jesse Ward is back with a vengeance. He’s his controlling, bossy, mega trampling, passionate self and he makes no apologies for it. At the beginning of this story, you can really feel the love Ava and Jesse have for each other, their family and friends. Jesse is completely devoted to Ava and she is completely devoted to him. But with a life changing twist, our favorite couple is thrown off course. I never even saw this coming and both Ava and Jesse pushed me to even my limits. It’s funny where certain emotions come flying back and I could feel myself feeling the same exact way as when I read the This Man trilogy. But I have to say that nothing was more apparent in this story than Jesse’s total adoration for his wife Ava and what he was willing to do to keep their family together. This Man is protective, loving and a little overbearing but he knows what he wants and what he needs. This was definitely a worthy sequel to Jesse and Ava’s story and full of surprises any way you look at it. Ava definitely hasn’t lost her spunk after all of her years with Jesse and for all of his countdowns, Ava was willing to still push the envelope. If you loved Jesse and Ava, you MUST read more With This Man.

If you haven’t met Jesse Ward yet, what are you waiting for? He’s the ultimate alpha male that does whatever it takes to protect the people he cares about. With his woman Ava being first in line.

With This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas is an epic, profoundly beautiful love story of a man dedicated to the one that owns his heart, soul, and world, his wife, Ava. This man, Jesse Ward completely stole my heart once again as he reminded me as to why readers like myself loved him. His devotion for Ava was everything I wanted. This book was emotional, heartbreaking and absolutely beautiful as it showcased a different side to Jesse. So if you are looking for a story that you fall HARD for then this is the book for you. Thank you Jodi for bringing back Jesse Ward into our lives.

There is something absolutely captivating about the depth of Jesse's love for Ava no matter how unreasonable this alpha male is. Jodi absolutely delivered in With This Man on a level that grapples the reader right from the start. There will be emotions that sway between tears of pain to tears of laughter and as if it wasn't possible, tears filled with love. Needless to say, have tissues on hand.

We experience love at a level deeper than we didn't think possible, especially after following the couple through their journey in the initial trilogy that I didn't think possible. An absolute must read as we're able to feel the "absolute, complete, earth-shifting universe-shaking love."

With This Man
by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Let’s, all scream from the rooftops! Since With This Man is here!
At last, I had it in my grips!
So what do you do? You dive head first into the abyss.
leading me on a kaleidoscope of emotions bleeding off of the pages!
But I was like a junkie get my fill of this intoxicating, earth shattering good story!
Yes, there were times I needed copious amounts of alcohol easy my variable pain! I will not lie!

Jodi Ellen Malpas did the impossible,
She has made me fall more in love with Lord of the Manor himself AKA Jesse Ward!
I never thought in a million years it could be done!
Well, shit I was wrong! Fucken Wrong!!!
Nevertheless, she left me a manic mess! Yet I would do it in a heartbeat to be fully immersed in the beauty and brilliant word that make this book!

With This Man is an all consuming, ingeniously written story,
Of the heart's desire, loss pain and that ever after fated love! Guaranteed to electrify the hopeless romantic in each of us.

The Lord is back in With This Man, and once again we are catapulted to Central Jesse Cloud Nine. I could quite possibly live there forever. I like, so many others am head over heels in love with the epic romance that is Jesse and Ava. This book propels us thirteen years into their future, Jesse is turning fifty and the twins, Madie and Jacob are twelve. Life until this point has been blissful... then the unthinkable happens.

Jesse's world crashes down around him when the love of his life, his entire life ,no longer remembers him or their family. Struggling with everything, he has to help Ava get her memory back, he is determined to get their lives back. He will stop at nothing to make her remember their connection and their passion. Told in dual POV's, this is a new chapter in their lives. It does a wonderful job retelling the first three books in a way that only JEM could pull off. I ran the gamut of emotions on this one. I laughed and I cried. Some things were a bit predictable, but something caused me to scream "Oh no she didn't!" And of course, yes she did. This book was everything. The whole cast reappears, and Jodie had me falling in love with all things Jesse all over again.

"I once told you that I wanted to look after you forever." I hold her eyes, never wavering. "I meant it, baby. Forever isn't over yet. Never will be, not for us. I love you. You are the best part of me, Ava. The greatest part. That can't be forgotten."
