Absolutely loved this book. The last of the Conquistadors bites the romance bullet and what a story it is!
Reese works at the bar for the guys, Marco and Carrie are soon to be engaged. Beck and Hayden now married and all we see of Cade is the woman in and out of the bar in tears as he gently escorts them out reminding them that he doesn't do relationships and reminds them it was only one night. Reese rolls her eyes and she knows her boss is a manwhore.
Cade is intrigued by Reese, by the things he doesn't know about her mostly. Her comments dropped here and there about the food and running a business leading Cade to believe she knows more than she lets on. Reese wisely does her best to avoid him. Beck and Marco have warned him to stay away from her. After all Reese moved from NY to San Diego to leave the past behind her, to live simply, content to be a waitress and that's it.
The food menu sucks, she knows it, the guys sort of know it and so she can't help herself when she helps the foundering cook Sid with some new recipes. They're a big hit of course and Reese finds herself drawn more and more to the kitchen. What will happen when the guys find out. And what about Cade? His attraction for Reese is getting stronger and at times their relationship is tense. Cade is a control freak. Reese also likes control-in the kitchen.
I have to say this is a must read and my favorite of the series. I loved Cade, jack hat that he was at times and loved Reese. The whole gang at the bar was fantastic. I hope Kelly brings us another book in this series. I can't say enough good things about this one. Steamy, intense and you'll love the Cade and Reese.
10 stars!
Arc from NetGalley and LoveSwept in exchange for a fair review**

I received an ARC from Netgalley. The stubborn former Navy Seal not willing to believe in true love, meets the chef in hiding and both fall in love. Even though they didn’t want to admit it. This was a great read and I would definitely read more by this author.

Reese’s job as a waitress at Conquistadors is exactly what she needs after her last horrific job experience. Cade is one of the owners, and realizes there is more to Reese than meets the eye. When the kitchen at Conquistadors starts to struggle, Reese helps out the chef without letting her bosses know. However, eventually they find out and Cade tries to get to the bottom of Reese’s secrets because he can’t help falling for her. Meeting up with the secondary characters who have been in previous books adds to the enjoyment of the book. So glad Cade got his story, and with a truly memorable female character.

I have enjoyed this trilogy so much. These military heroes are sweet and sexy, and Cade hasn't disappointed. He's spending a lot of time with a lot of different ladies which is a mark against him, but his upbringing and circumstances have made him strong and surprisingly sensitive. Reese is caring, kind, strong and spirited. She's faced tragedy and adversity in a male dominated industry, but she isn't ready to give up on life. In fact, she is ready to finally live her best life. What would you do? Move to California, foster an adorable dog, and walk by the ocean? Will she decide that she's finally ready to take a shot at love? Will Cade be able to tear down his walls and admit to having real emotion?
This is another winner by Kelly Jamieson, and I remain a fan!

I love when a book catches me off guard, sweeping me away when I'm least expecting it. That's what happened with Long Shot, a sweet and sexy "office" romance of sorts about a restaurant owner and his new waitress. Business mixes with pleasure on these pages and a deliciously complicated tangle of emotion ensues.
I loved it. I enjoyed this story so much. I felt SO MUCH. The chemistry and the undeniable attraction between Cade and Reese are woven seamlessly with heart-wrenching drama and smart humor to make for a wholly satisfying romance that I just adored. Long Shot had me completely consumed, rapt by this workplace hookup that was bound to become more but would surely face some hiccups.
Kelly Jamieson newest dish is as entertaining as it is STEAMY HOT, and it's perfectly peppered with just the right amount of heavy to make for an emotionally fulfilling love story. I literally had tears in my eyes in one particular scene and that's when I realized what a gem this story truly is. I didn't see this one coming, didn't expect such a delicious treat in Long Shot. But that's what it is... delicious and smooth going down, full of heat and surprisingly layered with flavor. Once again this author has me eager for more.

This was the first book I have read of Kelly Jamieson and I really like it! The third book in her Long Shot series centers on former (and hot) Navy Seal Cade Hardy. His attraction to the new server, Reese Kirkwell, at his bar Conquistadors is off the charts. Despite his reputation as only having one night stands, he can’t seem to stop wanting to be around Reese. But will be it too late for them when Cade and Reese finally realize they can’t deny it’s true love? I hadn’t read the first two books in this series but was able to pick up on the cast of characters and back story. Regardless I will be going back and reading them!

I absolutely loved this book. Awesome series and this was another great one to add to it. I enjoyed being able to see how things were with the previous books characters as well. As always, Kelly Jamieson did not disappoint. She delivered a great read, with awesome characters. Chemistry noticeable from the very start. Loved Cade and Reese together!

This is the third in the series and presumably the last. This is Cade's story the third in the Conquestador's owners. I always enjoy reading about previous couples, and we do especially from Jack who saved the day a couple of times. We also meet Reese who is hired as a waitress and is running from something. I did enjoy, however I wish authors would stop writing about these manwhores, if I were these women I would never get with one. But I guess to each it own.

I loved the Last Shot series and this was my favorite book of all three! The friction, dialogue, and heat between the main characters was hot and engaging! I loved seeing all three best friends find their HEAs and all come together in this book. I highly recommend this series and this book in particular! KJ hooked me in with her multiple hockey series, and I have been delving into her other books and loving them!

So I have not read the other books in this series, but I was still excited to read this book.
I enjoyed the book from the first page to the very last page.
It did feel a little short to me, but when it’s a good read they always feel like that.
As this was my first book from this author, I am excited to read more and might even read the complete series.
Thanks NetGalley for this great read!

4stars.
I really do like Kelly Jamieson books. They always hold my interest.
This author pretty much has a guaranteed "want-to-read" rating by me for all of her books on the goodreads site and in this case was an automatic request for an ARC from netgalley.
"Long Shot" surprisingly wasn't a sports romance like many of the others that I have previously read by this author. It also appears to be the final book in the "Last Shot" series as well as the third one .
I haven't read either of the previous books but this one reads just fine as a standalone.
However if you are thinking of reading the complete series, I absolutely recommend reading them in order as there definitely appears to be a lot of crossover between stories and also significant plot reveals.
I loved that it was set in San Diego (where I live also) and all the locations and characters resonated with me. I really loved the writing and the story flowed nicely as well. Reese was a lot more vivid for me as a character, whereas Cade was just a little bit harder for me to relate to but I definitely liked both MC's and I really enjoyed reading this book.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

A fasinating look at a Tequila bar owned by three former Navy seals. The book is one in a series but reads standalone just fine. Author deals with subjects that are relevant and very original to romance genre. It was enjoyable to read as Kelly's book normally are!!

Long Shot is a fun, sexy romance that draws you in from the very beginning. I loved the relationship that Cade and Reese shared, from the fun banter of friends to the intimate relations of lovers. I have truly enjoyed this series and all of the characters. I highly recommend.

I absolutely fell in love with Cade and Reese and the rest of the gang. This story of one resilience, friendship, and love. Long Shot is written with smart wit, sexy scenes and unbelievable understanding of great food and amazing tequila. This is a must read that will keep you turning the pages to see if true love wins out in the end.

3 Stars
I really enjoyed this series, but to be honest, this was my least favorite book in this series. I never felt a real connection between Cade and Reese. He was the typical "bad boy" to stay away from and she was the women who was hiding something dark in her past (she did so by running away to the other side of the country and taking a waitress job that she was over qualified for).
I loved the other couples in this series and I enjoyed how the author made the books intertwine so that it was a continuation of the "gang". I just felt that Cade was going to go out with a bang. He was after all, the womanizer of the group.

Long Shot is a wonderful book. I enjoyed this book from the page one to the last page. It was hard to put down. I loved the chemistry between Cade and Reese. This is the first book I have read from this author, but it won't be my last. This is book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I didn't read book one or two but will read them soon. I would recommend this book.

So, maybe the problem is my own, but this one fell a bit short for me. I just couldn't connect with these characters, and I never felt engaged in the story at all. Part of the problem might be that I hadn't read the stories that came before this one. I agree with other reviewers that this can be read as a standalone, but I think I personally might have been more invested if I'd been immersed with this group from the beginning. Cade and Reese were likeable characters--I just wasn't feeling anything for them, and I found myself skimming large chunks of the book. Nonetheless, I did finish the story, so I was interested enough to see what Reese was hiding and how it all ended. With all that being said, I liked the author's writing style; the problem was all about the characters in this one for me. Thus, I would definitely read another book by this author, knowing that I might feel a much stronger connection with different personalities. I also wouldn't discourage someone else from reading this one. I am clearly in the minority here, and other readers may absolutely adore this story and these people.

This is a wonderful series and I have loved every single book but this story I think is my new favorite. It easily stands alone but I highly recommend this series so I would definitely start at book 1.
This story is Cade's story. He is the manwhore in the tequila bar and to be honest his manwhoreness is one of my hesitations in reading this story, but in this stories case, he is more of a bored manwhore and hasn't manwhored in weeks.
Reese is his waitress at the bar and well she and Cade class a lot because she is also a foodie and the food sucks. I love how she goes behind Cade's back and tried to improve the menu and then the fireworks when Cade finds out were so great.
I really LOVED this book. It is well written, has a wonderful storyline and I loved every single character. The only thing I did not love is that the story ended with more of a happy for now rather than forever after. I would love another book so we could see how everything ends up. That said this book is HOT. It has a great plot and wonderful characters.

LOVED this book! This is a delightful series that follows the three former SEALs that own Conquistadors together. They are learning as they're going along and deal with various problems. One of them is a waitress, Reece, who wants to spend time in the kitchen instead of waiting tables, which she then compounds by criticizing the food to the customers. Cade is livid, but is also smitten with Reece, who has secrets of her own.
I loved the interplay between the characters and loved this novel. While it is part of a series, this is a stand alone book, however, the series is so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. Put this one at the top of your TBR list!
