A great book by a fantastic author. The writing is excellent and the mystery keeps you turning the pages. Characters are well developed. Highly recommend.

This is a cute cozy series that pet lovers will certainly enjoy. Caro has agreed to help with a fund raiser for vets and service dogs. She invites all her celebrity pet owners and it looks like the affair will raise a ton of money. When Caro's ex-husband shows up trying to steal her clients things get tense and when the headline entertainer is found murdered the show is in real jeopardy. This is book 9 in the Pampered Pets series and it probably helps to have read some of the previous stories but I think you can enjoy the book stand alone.

I enjoyed this cozy with its charity show, and insights into fandom but not one of those that grabbed me

A funny and lovely cozy mystery. I really enjoyed it. I rember having read on in this series and loving it but this one is really better. It is full of humour, an enjoyable group of characters and funny moment.
It can be read as a stand-alone and I surely will go back and read the previous books.
Cannot wait to read the next instalment.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Bell Bridge Books

I did enjoy this book, despite coming into this series late and starting with book 9. The characters were easy to relate to and the mystery was a good one, although I felt like the ending wrapped up a little too quickly without any real confrontation. This was probably the only thing I would change, although I highlighted two instances where the wrong word was used or it was used incorrectly. If I knew how to share my Kindle notes on my review, I would!

Since I came in late, I also wouldn't have minded knowing more about what a Pet Psychiatrist does and entails, but that was most likely a me problem. Caro seems to spend a lot of the novel going from home to the hotel too; perhaps this could have been tweaked with editing so more scenes occured at the hotel without interrupting the flow.I felt like the to and fro was making me dizzy!

I did enjoy the cast and hopefully one day I can go back and read the rest of the series. Thank you to Netgally and the publisher for the chance to read this book!

Caro Lamont, pet therapist to the stars, is helping to arrange a charity to raise money for a group that provides service dogs to wounded warriors. It's too bad that the charity's headliner, Purple, has been murdered. And it doesn't help that Caro's ex-husband is running around spreading rumors about her. And now he's a suspect in Purple's murder...
I like Caro. She doesn't try to solve the murder herself, she calls the cops (well, her cop friend Detective Malone). She's smart, she's confident (mostly), and she believes in herself. I skipped a number of books in this series but was able to pick it up right away.

Four stars

A fun read filled with funny moments.
A high profile event to raise funds for service dogs that will help veterans with PTSD is filled with drama and chaos as the main headliner is killed.
There are a lot of subplots in the story and some memorable characters.

This is a great book; this is the ninth book in the Pampered Pets Mystery Series written by Sparkle Abbey. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read it you will defiantly want to go back and catch up with the other book in this series. Caro’s ex-husband Geoffrey is spreading rumors about her competence and snuggling up to the biggest stars, including Purple - the temperamental diva, who's the lynchpin of the celebrity line-up. All too soon, Caro is losing clients, her reputation, and patience with Geoffrey's shenanigans. More trouble is unleashed when the high-strung headliner is found dead and Geoffrey was seen leaving her hotel room. With a potential killer on the loose, Caro is hounded by questions about who had reason to want Purple out of the picture. Though all the evidence points to her ex, Caro believes the police are on the wrong trail. Even if her sleuthing puts her in the doghouse with Detective Judd Malone, Caro must dig up the truth before the real killer gets away with murder. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Barking with the Stars by the talented duo Sparkle Abbey is bound to keep you laughing.

Caro is working on a fundraiser to help provide service dogs for wounded warriors.
When nasty rumors about Caro begin spreading through her clients, she can only guess it's her ex-husband Geoffrey starting the vicious lies.
Even though Caro is concerned about the rumors, she has other things to worry about, including Lavender, the pampered Lhasa apso belonging to super star, Purple.

Super fans are abound, and when Purple's body is found, an inquiry into her death catches Caro in the middle, much to the angst of Detective Judd Malone.

This is a fun series who will delight all mystery readers.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.

Great addition to a wonderful series. The lovely protagonist is involved in a benefit for veterans using service dogs. Interesting new characters as well as fun interaction with familiar ones. This can be read as a stand alone, but it is such a charming series that you will want to read them all. Especially true for dog lovers, but us cat people can still enjoy the stories. A quickly read page turner.
