More to Love was definitely a sweet, fun read. This was my first book of Alison Bliss and while I enjoyed the characters and the dynamic between Max and Jessa, I will admit the storyline dragged a bit for me. The premise was simple enough, but at times Max frustrated me and frankly so did Jess. I really just wish there was more development between them. It was not bad by any means, I think I just hoped for more. 3.75 Stars ✨
I have nothing but love for Alison Bliss and her Perfect Fit series. She empowers women with a strength of character that is light hearted and in no way mean spirited. She proves that you don't have be a size 0 to get the most out of life. This time around, she gives the tale a surprising twist in Max Hager. He's funny, sexy, an all around stand up guy with hidden insecurities that haunt him everyday. Jessa is a go getter. She doesn't wait for life to happen to her. She makes it happen for herself. Max could learn a few things from her. More to Love is a pleasurable, humorous and heartwarming look at how the plus size live. It inspires and for that I admire her and am a fan for life.
Alison Bliss always seems to be able to put a smile on my face and that is exactly what this story did. A quirky tale of a white lie gone astray, More To Love is a fun, sexy, and a great way to distract yourself from a boring day.
While I will say that this book leans slightly on the silly side of romance humor, I can admit that I was unable to stop reading. Alison Bliss’ mixed a body positive message and a yummy alpha man with the small town vibe I have come to love from her.
I have never read a book by Alison Bliss that I didn’t enjoy and More To Love is yet another book I can easily recommend to all romance lovers.

I really enjoyed this cute romance!😍 There was a lot of parts that made me giggle and this was another quick and sweet read. The only reason that I didn’t give this one 5 stars is because Max really annoyed me in the beginning but he grew on me. I really liked this stoy because of having a curvy woman as the main character as well, being a plus size lady myself, it made me smile a bit and was relatable at times.
I want to thank the publishers and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The latest in the Perfect Fit series features Max, the instigator friend of the heroes and heroines of the last two books, and Jess, a chef who runs her own food truck. She’s just moved to Granite and she’s taken the town by storm. Unfortunately, another restaurant is suffering and as a consequence, Max leaps before he looks and decides to lie to Jess by telling her that he’s a food inspector and puts her through some hoops. And yes, along the way, some romance happens.
The Good, The Bad, and Everything in Between
The Good. In this case, I really liked that Max is the one with the food issues, having been the chubby kid who was picked on and determined to beat his food addiction. I loved Jess, who picked up and decided to follow her dream and move to a new town and start a new business. I loved seeing my fave couple from the previous book. When the focus is on Max and Jess’s romance, I enjoyed their interaction and I wanted more. However….
The Bad. That blurb above? It was painful to type, because I thought the “lie” was pointless and really detracted from the story. There was so much to unpack with Max’s strict diet, just falling for a BBW who isn’t that strict with her diet and cooks so many delicious and rich foods was a big theme that isn’t typically explored in romances, especially from the male POV. THAT was the story that I wanted to read and that I felt would come organically from these characters. The food inspector lie was annoying, made Max look worse than he needed to (and I was excited for his story), and made the big beats that were going to play out pretty obvious. And yes, the “surprise” twist at the end? How much better could it have been if it was woven through the story from the beginning. That lie was such a waste of a story.
Everything in Between. There was some good moments with past characters (shoutout to Logan and Valerie, how I loved you two). I liked the detail in the food truck scenes, which felt genuine. Basically, I enjoyed anything that wasn’t tied to the big lie, because I could see the story it could have been, not the story it ended up being.
The Bottom Line
I really, really wished I liked this story more than I did. Max was the one I was looking forward to, but the central plot point regarding the lie was just pointless and didn’t work for me.
If you want to check out this series, I’d recommend On the Plus Side and pass on this one. *shrugs* Oh well.

I have never read Alison Bliss before, but I must say, she gets it. Not all of us are seize 2's. Some of us are bigger and happy. That is what More To Love is about..... but it is almost more than that. It is about people who fall in love, not matter size, shape or form!
Loved it!
I do love me a little bit of Max! He’s been a favourite side character for me in the previous two books and I’m so happy that he got his story. Now, saying that, he’s abit of a naughty boy in this one so I did shout at him once or twice! It’s a good job he’s got a heart of gold even though he was abit dense a few times. Everything he does comes from a good place he just doesn’t always think the long term repercussions though.
Jessa was really cool. I loved how normal she was, no major hang ups and a really nice girl. She became more and more sassy and she gave Max as good as she got. They were a great couple and you could really feel that they would just last forever.
We got to catch up with the rest of the gang which is always fun. A great addition to this series.
This book is listed as a romantic comedy but didn’t achieve this for me. Having read the first two books in this series, I was looking forward to a nice light story. Jessa is a sweet young lady who draws in the community to her food truck. Max is bound and determined to get her out of the neighborhood as she’s drawing customers away from his best friend’s diner. Unfortunately Max lies to her about being a food inspector and keeps up the pretense for almost the entire book. I just couldn’t get why she took him back after all that lying. Also didn’t feel the emotional attachment to each other though it was stated often. So far-fetched that I couldn’t get emotionally involved in the story.
This book was amazing! Once again Alison has brought to life a relatable story that resonates. The characters are rich and sincere. And for once it is the male that has body image issues. The story of Max and Jessa is one that I will remember for a really long time. Thank you, Alison for another GREAT read!!
I was given an advanced reader copy for an honest review of this book.
I love this series and this one was just a good as the other ones. It was sweet and very well written. There were times I was yelling at the characters in my head and times I was laughing so much my stomach hurt. This was a very good book and I look forward to more from this author.
I have liked Allison Bliss since I read her first romance novel with real sized women. I like how she handled body image, male and female. Real romance for real women!
3.5 stars
More to Love is a whole lot of trouble. Open your mouth once and bam! Instant trouble. A mouth watering temptation is now your personal problem. If only he hadn't lied...
An unusual situation leads to an unlikely relationship but it's a house of cards. And the collapse might just cost everything...
More to Love is sweet with a side of sass. Plenty of fun and naughtiness to keep you turning pages.
I moved Max and Jessa’s story. How Max was trying to save his favorite place to eat by pretending to be the health inspector.
I keep yelling at him to stop lying because it cause major problems in the end!!
There was defintely an unexpected twist,
The book does stand on its own, but it can be helpful to have read the rest of the Plus Side series.
I loved the first two books in this series so jumped at the chance to review this one. It didn't quite grab me the same way as the first two. I loved Max in the first two books and was eagerly anticipating his story but it definitely got off to a rocky start. The premise of trying to scare off the food truck owner seemed a little extreme since he didn't even think to talk to the owner about the issue in the first place. It was hard to put my finger exactly on what bothered me about this one but it was a fine addition to the series but not a favorite.
Provided an arc by netgallery for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this story. Mostly it was the writing I think because I was kinda turned off by the male lead, Max. I LOVED Jessa and thought she could do MUCH better than Max let me tell you. But it was also a book that I laughed with and couldn't put down.
For most of the book, 90% Max lies to Jessa. He has sex with her, he falls for her and he appears to treat her well but he lies to her all the time. His friends know it as well and pressure him to tell the truth but he never does. Was it a terrible lie? No, not really. I think Jessa would have easily gotten over it, but he keeps lieing and even brings her/his friends into it.
So I did not like him. But despite that I LOVED the story and it is because the author writes with some great humor and she created other characters I truly loved. This is my first book by the author but definitely not my last.
