Lex Thomas excels at creating a gritty, tension-filled atmosphere where danger is always present. The fast-paced narrative keeps readers on edge, while the bleak portrayal of human nature under extreme circumstances is both chilling and thought-provoking. Themes of survival, loyalty, and societal breakdown are explored through a gripping story that holds nothing back in its depiction of violence and desperation.

Quarantine: The Loners is a compelling read for fans of dystopian YA who crave high stakes and adrenaline-fueled action.

Originally read back in 2013, I did NOT review because I had little good to say about the book. Cliche without great writing to save it.
