Ride All Night by Michele de Winton is a good fit for readers looking for a romance novel that explores the allure of opposites attracting, set in the gritty world of a biker club, with a focus on the unexpected connections that can form in the most unexpected of places.
Beth is looking for her big break in Hollywood but in the mean time she works as a waitress. She is trying to capture the attention of Grim in hopes that he can help her make her mark. Her antics have her in bed with the wrong brother. This story is about what one would do to get what they want even if its outcome is not what is expected. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is the third book in the series and I loved it just as much. The third book is about Beth Raven’s who is bartending at Wilde’s until she gets her break.
Grim is a big movie star and Beth thinks if she can snag him as a boyfriend she can movie up the Hollywood latter faster, but when she thinks she’s entered Grims hotel room she finds out it’s not him but his brother and she’s totally embarrassed it’s not like her to sleep around.
Rusty own a bike shop and would love nothing more than to have a reality television show out of his shop. When Beth & Grim talk about the show Rusty realizes Beth could help him get the show off and running. The only problem is they want to show case Beth & Rusty and possibly interested in each other but Rusty knows she wants his brother but Rusty knows his brother doesn’t deserve her.
The story was well written and like true MC fashion has its far share of drama. I’m really enjoying this series and can’t wait for more.
I DNF'd this book probably at 25 percent because of all the back and forth between the two MC - plus the language was a little over the top.
I just couldn't get into this book. I read the others in the series and liked them but I just didn't like the characters in this one. I couldn't get past that to get to a point where I cared about what happened with them.
What a wonderful story. Once I started, I couldn’t seem to put it down. The main characters were easy to relate to, and I felt as though I could connect with them. I felt this book was very well written, and the characters had depth, which is one of the things I enjoy most about books. This one I will recommend to others to read.
Well written and an enjoyable story. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more by this author.
She appeared out of of nowhere and he absolutely was stunned speechless. Rusty could not believe his good fortune of finding a sultry auburn siren laying beside him. He was tentative about entering into another relationship especially when Beth desperately wants to achieve her dream of becoming an actress. Will she finally achieve her dreams and rise to the top or will she continually struggle and feel left behind? Great continuation of the series.
Loved this story!! Rusty and Beth help each other with their own ventures and fall in love in the process. Wonderfully told!
This was better than the first two that I DNF. It dragged in places and I had a hard time staying engaged.
To make it in Hollywood, Beth thinks she needs an actor as boyfriend aka Grim. Instead of making it big in Hollywood, Beth finds herself in bed with Grim’s brother Rusty. Rusty offers to help her gain his brother's attention in exchange for her helping him with his new reality TV show. Which brother will Beth choose? An interesting story and good chemistry.
Rusty was fun, he made me smile constantly. Under his rough exterior he's a genuine and caring guy. I had a difficult time connecting with Beth. There were too many changes to her personality throughout the story that it made it hard for me to understand her. Beth was very ambitious, she just didn't think her plan through properly.
We're up to the third book in Michel de Winton's Raising Hellfire MC series but don't worry if you haven't read the first two books as they can all be read as standalones.
To make it in Hollywood, Beth thinks she needs the perfect actor boyfriend aka Grim McKinley. Instead she finds herself working with Grim's hot biker brother Rusty, plotting how to get Grim onside. Still with me? Right, anyway... Beth is determined to follow one path and ignores what is right in front of her.
I loved Rusty, he made me smile and swoon constantly. What I liked about him the most was that under his gruff exterior he's a genuine and caring guy. I personally thought he deserved a gold medal for putting up with Beth at times, who to be honest, I found it harder to like. Her indecisiveness bothered me. I felt as though although she wasn't intentionally horrible to Rusty, she really didn't often consider the impact of her actions. She has her reasons for wanting to follow a certain path but I just felt as though she could have been a little more considerate. BUT she did grow on me as I carried on with the story.
I enjoyed the book it just wasn't my favourite in the series. I am looking forward to reading the next instalment though.
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book
Good girl Beth Ravens is tired of waiting for her big break to come and instead plans to reach out and grab her dreams at any cost.
Grim had the great fortune of being in the right place at the right time. The benefits...he gets to meet Beth...the downside...She hope to meet his brother!
Can Grim convince her that he is all she will ever need or will her hopes for stardom blind her from what is shinning right before her eyes? Read and find out!
Pros:
I loved the banter between Grim and Beth and Grims crew as well as the Hellfire MC.
I also liked that Grim was a hardworking man that cared about family and wasn't afraid to put his heart on his sleeve.
Con
I very strongly disliked all of the things Beth was willing to do to get what she wanted. She had an attitude of ...I want to make this happen ...but seemed to rely on everyone else to get it done. These traits turned me off of the book but I am happy that I continued to read it. I just wish that when she is truly tested that she would have 100 % chose the guy she loves and said forget about everyone and everything else.
Overall I am seeing a trend in this series where the women are all strong but want something and are willing to do anything to get it or anything to run away from something. I just wish that a strong woman, with no motives... that does not need a bad boy but wants a bad boy would come into the mix and meet one of these strong sexy guys. In closing, not a bad book
Beth’s montra was she was a strong, confident woman with real talent and a future in Hollywood. She worked at a biker bar called Wilde while she was waiting for one of the many auditions she had went to would pay off. Beth’s idol was Mae West. Grim’s voice did things to Beth. Beth decided she was going to tell Grim tonight why they should be together. Grim wasn’t a biker but portrayed one and he was coming to Wilde’s to do research. Grim was known to be a playboy in Hollywood. Beth thought Grim could help her get her break in Hollywood. Grim had left the bar and Beth decided to seduce him and went to his room. Beth’s polio vaccine had failed and she had gotten the disease as a baby. It had took multiple operations over the years and a bunch of titanium hardware and a lot of physical therapy to get her walking on her own. Beth goes to the room Grim is suppose to be at and ends up in bed with Grim brother Rusty. Rusty doesn’t like the idea of Beth being with Grim but strings Beth along saying he would set Beth up with Grim. Rusty’s plan is to Beth pretend to be his office manager to increase the ratings on the reality show about his garage. Rusty is a member of the Raising Hellfire MC.
I didn’t really like this book. I didn’t like how Beth seemed to care so much for her breasts. I didn’t connect with Beth as a character and didn’t really like her. I didn’t like how she hoped Grim would help her get a break in Hollywood. There really wasn’t a lot of positive in this book for me.
DNF 10%
I just couldn't get into this book.
Beth desperately wants to be an actress and after countless failed auditions she decides the way to make this happen is to get a successful actor to fall in love with her and marry her so she can be seen on his arm. Of course being seen with him will instantly make her a successful actress.
She lands a job at a biker bar that the actor, Grim, frequently visits to help him prepare for a role he plays. When he doesn't pay enough attention to her at the bar, she decides she should surprise him in bed when she's told that he rented a room at the bar. She slips into his room, into his bed, and starts making out with him all without even realizing it's not actually Grim in the bed.
I just struggle relating to someone who is that desperate for success that they're wiling to sleep with someone and use them for their own needs.
It was a good story with characters that were a bit complex. It had funny times some angst oh some drama!
The book had some twists that kept me interested.
It wasn't my fave of the series but I liked it.
3.5 ☆
DNF at 25%. The book just isn't grabbing me. I'm generally a fan of the "character realizes the person in from of them is who they want instead of their dream person" plot but it's taking too long to get going. Also, I'm not hooked by the reality show plot. I generally find those kind of shows dull as dishwater so reading a book about making one is less than exciting.
Beth and Rusty get together to work on a reality t.v. show about Rusty's motorcycle shop. The two develop feelings for one another. This was a good read. I have read other books by this author and she did not disappoint with this one.
This was an interesting novel. I don't read many motorcycle romance novels, but this was beautifully written and made me have a few interesting feels. I loved the romance and family drama that took place. Very enjoyable.
Rusty is the kind of guy that deserves to be the main attraction but ends up playing second fiddle to his older brother. I loved every single thing about Rusty. He was hardworking, loving, took the role of an older brother though he was the younger and he had such a pure heart.
Beth was a floozy to me because she only wanted to use Grim as a way to advance her life. Granted, she had "legitimate" reasons for her need, but I feel like she could have found another way to accomplish her goals. Beth seemed to have knew how to work hard, but just wanted the easy way out.
The romance was funny to me. The way Rusty and Beth met was funny and how things played out with them was beautiful. They both had such a spark for one another that trying to ignore was too hard for them. I'm glad they didn't play around with one another's feelings. They knew what they felt, they wanted to try and worked hard to keep things going.
Grim was an asshole to me. I hated him for being a dick to his brother and a douche bag to Beth at times. He's the older brother that's popular and has plenty of dirty secrets.
Overall, a great story.
This is Book 3 in the Raising Hellfire series. I have to say that this is my favorite book in the series. Beth has moved to Hollywood from Australia. She is going to be an actress if she could get any response from the 101 auditions that she had taken in the past few months. She knows she needs help so she decides to go after Grim. He’s an actor and she knows that he can help her if he’ll just give her a chance. Beth’s idol is Mae West and she knows that she can do anything that she wants to. She just has to toughen up and do it. So she decides to seduce him. It’s convenient that he has taken a room in the hotel where she works. Before the deed can be followed through, she finds out that it’s not Grim in the room. It’s his brother, Rusty. This book is so good. It shows us how she was determined to accomplish her life’s dream of becoming an actress. While doing this, she has to decide several things. The storyline is so good. The chemistry between Beth and Rusty is so much more than we think it will be in the beginning. This is definitely another awesome book from this author. I can’t wait to read another book of her’s. Great job! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Net Galley.
