This is a well written book of love and revenge. A couple torn apart due to class differences are thrown together once again in a battle for the land that had brought them together. Can the bitterness of revenge block the love that still burns within them.
This is romantic and captivating. Garrick is determined, confident and stubborn. Arabel is stubborn, weak and foolish. They fell in love as young adults, but she chose her family over him. When he comes back 10 years later looking for revenge, they are drawn to each other, but also distrustful and hurt. I really liked Garrick, he overcame his past and became a charming man. Arabel on the other hand didn't change at all in 10 years. The aunt and uncle turned into sneaky and underhanded matchmakers. It was a truly wonderful story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
