I read this book in one night, which usually would say something about how gripping and amazing it was - it doesn't. I'm just one of those readers than has to finish a book in one day or I might never pick it up again (or get any sleep depending). This book was like pin-ball with Julia's feelings and trust issues. One second she's be completely about Nick and not caring whether she was betraying her home, then she'd say they have to be just friends. And this happened at least four times. I think what got me was the very quick attraction between the two. They kissed after knowing each other for one day. Technically, she didn't even know who he was for a full day yet. That made me question some things.
I honestly don't think the author had any sense of a timeline. They kept saying Nick would be there for a couple weeks. He's have a week to explore the land, then a COUPLE weeks for vacation. Then they'd say he'd only been there for a few days. Then they'd say it had been weeks. And go back to a few days. So how long exactly did they have together?
Now that I've gotten the bad out of my system, lets go to the good. The story is adorable. Julia and Nick have a connection on the page that kept me wanting to read their story. Her little brother Caleb is just adorable. All around, the characters are great. They feel like a close family that I want to hear about. Honestly, Caleb is probably the reason I wanted to finish the story. He was just so stinkin' cute and hopeful!
This was a quick, cute, fun summer read for sure! Just don't pay too close attention to the timeline.
This was a cute summer read, I finished it in one sitting. I could see myself reading this on the beach with a nice tall glass of iced coffee.
This book follows a 17 year old Julia who just finds out that her home that her grandfather had may be getting sold.
While she is on a dock looking at the stars she meets a guy named Nick, his dad is the one that wants to buy her Granddads home. ( horrible right? )
Nick and Julia begin to fall for one another an in doing so they try to figure out a way to help Julia keep her home.
This was a light an easy read. I recommend this book to you if you love summer books.

The book was a perfect summer romance and I highly recommend it. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down.
This book was a sweet summer romance. It is a feel-good story that makes you appreciate life a little bit more.I really enjoyed the story and the characters! I enjoyed this book because it has good background characters as well as the main ones. There are good details in the book. It's not just focused on the love story which some tend to do.
It's a story about Julia, she just graduated high school and is living on her parents campground get ready for the summer rush. Than she met Nick, who she disliked but he turned out to be someone she had a lot in common with.
I wasn't able to stop reading this book from the minute I started. I was immediately drawn in by Julia's first bad day at her campground/home that I was keep interested all the way until the end. The first glimpse into Julia's life is a bad one, her best friend leaves for the summer, the boy she's interested in brings another girl with him to the camp, and her mother may have to sell their home due to medical bills from when her little brother Caleb was sick.
The characters are what really helped this book succeed in my eyes. The characters that the author described are very unique, vivid, and easy to imagine. I was able to connect with them and their situations as I think they were all developed really nicely throughout the plot. There is a nice feeling of the impending doom and Nick serves as a reminder of that and I'm glad that feeling didn't get lost in the rest of the plot. The romance between Julia and Nick was strong and well written but their romance also didn't overshadow the plot point of the impending sale of the property to Nick and his father which was a strength in this story. Sevingny was capable of using letting the other points of the story shine as well not just the romance. There is also the strong family bonds for Julia and her family .The reader is really able to root for the success of Julia and her family. The relationship between Julia and her little brother is a really good one that didn't get forgotten as the story went on but rather it was enhanced. This story was really well done and I would definitely recommend this as a good summer read that you won't want to put down.
who doesn't love a good summer camp story? in summer constellations julia is looking forward to summer days spent with her summer love on her family's campground.
but summer starts with a bang when her best friend leaves for osaka to spend time with her dad, her mother lets her know that she is considering selling the camp, and the boy she's dreamed of all year shows up with a girlfriend. it's the wrong kind of bang.
when julia connects with a mysterious boy out stargazing on the dock, little does she know that her life is going to change. nick is not just the son of the guy trying to buy her campground. he's also her crush's cousin and he might be a little bit famous.
she's so hurt and suspicious, but she's also drawn to him. every action nick takes shows that he is on her side. but all the circumstances look bad for him. what is it going to take for julia to trust him. trust in the way they feel above all?
this is the sort of dreamy ya i love to read. it feels almost as if it takes place in it's own bubble of reality. maybe it's partially that i had a hard time figuring out where this camp was supposed to be located. like maybe somewhere in the northeastern u.s. but it also could be canada. anyway, nick is super dreamy so you can't help rooting for him and julia to figure things out.

This book will be a great summer/vacation read. The characters are very likeable especially Julia who I fell in love with from the .start.
This was so sweet. I really loved the setting of this story! It takes place in a campground, up in the mountains and forests. The story is a bit unlikely, as there is definitely instalove, and the whole, possible future-developer’s-son falling for the teenager (especially so quickly) thing is a bit unbelievable.
Also, his actions and behavior and being-able-to-do-everthing-ness at only, what, age 21? Nah. But it’s not in your face either…I still enjoyed the story!
I loved most of the plot, there’s a lot of facets that come together well in the end! Only starting at the second-to-last chapter did it get a bit cheesy. All lovey-dovey perfectness and everything came together just a *tad* too easily at the very end. Without spoiling: the whole helicopter thing? For real?! Like, why would his cousin even do that, at THAT moment. Cheese factor! Still debating on if it’s a 4 or 4.5…4.25 would be great, really.
when i first started reading summer constellations, i thought it was going to be a typical romantic YA book. this was a little true but i must say i really enjoyed this book.
i read it in my garden on a real Sunny day and it was the perfect setting because this book really has a summer-feeling.
even though julia, the lead character, had some rough times and challenges i found this a book with a possitive feeling. there were one or two occasions where all of a sudden she got rather "dark" talking about the universe and everything coming to end, which i felt didnt match the rest of the tone of the book.
the ending was uplifting. it was a fast read, it normally takes me a few days to finish a book but i finished this one in a day so that is saying something
I loved this book and enjoyed everything about it: the blooming romance between Julia and Nick, the campground atmosphere, the supporting characters, etc. Fans of teen romance books, this is a must!
