In this episode, Holden’s group tries to figure out a way to enter the Sanctuary.
It focused on Holden and brought the reader back to some events from the first season.
I really like these episodes, probably because Inez wasn’t in it.
In this episode we're back with Holden, and the group that formed after they split at the end of series 1. I found this episode hard to follow at times due to the flashbacks being recent. Utma had a nice moment in this one where she talks about love. She is definitely one of my favourite characters from the series.
EXcited to see the stakes have changed/been raised and the dynamic within the group adapting to the new situation.
Still really enjoying the ReMade series and I can't wait to see where it goes next!
So again, in case you forgot, in the last episode of season one, the main group of ReMades have split. Holden decided to break off and he was joined by Umta, Nevaeh, Sunita, Cole and Loki. Their mission was to follow Arcadia’s map to Sanctuary. Sanctuary was where the last people on Earth went underground to try and live out the apocalypse.
Again, I am thrilled that Umta gives up some more details about her life before the ReMades showed up, and before she was remade. There was a great line in there about what love is and what that could mean for their futures.
Sanctuary is guarded by by two caretakers and the crew is going to do what they came to do…find out what is in Sanctuary and if it is a safe space for all of the group to live.
I will admit that in this episode I was a little confused, since the flashbacks were recent flashbacks, not before the time they were remade, but back to the beginning of the story.
We finally made it to Sanctuary! A definite uptick in pace this time, and we're back to Holden - though I agree with the other reviewers that he could DEFINITELY stand to pine less.
Things start to move in episode 2 of Season 2. As the splinter group tries to find Sanctuary, we finally get some background on what is going on. An exciting conclusion to the episode.

This time we follow Holden, one of my favorite characters in this whole serial but damn... he keeps going on like he and Seyah were married and she filed for divorce, thus ruining years of wonderful love between them. She never returned his feelings! Nothing ever happened between them! GET OVER IT DUDE!!!! There are much better girls out there... like Nevaeh. She's so kind and sweet.
Anyway, Holden's group is in search of Sanctuary but he's starting to question himself and can't get his mind off HER. The one that he loves so much that it's rather creepy. Just saying. Dude is too good for her.
They do end up working together and find something they believe might be Sanctuary and this episode ends with the door to the place opening up after they get rid of two Caretakers. As always we are left with more questions then answers and it's driving me insane! I want to know everything now. Hopefully we get a few more answers in the next one.
Will go live on my blog 12/3/2017

Holden isn't my favorite character in the series for me, but we did learn more about him (And Umta!). The group made it to sanctuary and this is all about the journey there and the struggles and how the kids now miss those that decided to stay behind. A good, fast-paced chapter. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Episode 1 changed everything, episode 2 gave us a start on finding something new and left us at a cliffhanger. I kind of need episode 3 right now. #ReMade #NetGalley

I have a feeling I'm going to struggle with most of this season of ReMade. The group has divided itself in two. While one group stayed in Arcadia to recoup and hole up, while the other has been making a trek through the unknown and dangerous terrain for many, many miles in hopes of finding 'Sanctuary', the last human stronghold whose GPS coordinates were provided to Holden by Arcadia before he put her out of her misery. Per her request. That being the case, each episode is from a different group's perspective. So, basically, huge cliffhangers forever and forever. I'm definitely going to continue because I want to know what happens with Jing Wei Take Two (from season 2, episode 1), and I definitely want to know what's behind the door of 'Sanctuary'. A couple other notes of interest; we got to hear more from Umta in this episode, which really made me happy. She's been one of my favorite characters due to her exceptionally different past and her unique personality. The other would be that this episode has season 1 flashbacks from Holden's POV, which gives a different perspective to what was going on, as well as additional background on how he and Seyah functioned together after being ReMade. I'm not sure if that background is necessary to the story or not, at least not yet, but don't really feel like it added anything to the story or the characters at this point. I can only hope that it's leading up to something else.
