This continues to be one of my favorite graphic series for kids - the humor is pitch perfect and appeals to a wide range of readers. Keep 'em coming!

My 9 year old read this one and said it's a really cool book. She loved how every couple of pages it turned into a new season. She also enjoyed how every time the power went out the unicorn could use her horn and create WIFI. She said this was a super fun book to read!

This was my first Phoebe book and I wasn't really a fan. It felt like the book was all over the place with no real plot or purpose. It was a bunch of stories, some with no morals or standards. It just seems very disjointed to me.
That being said, my daughter enjoyed the book and it may start in some of the most reluctant readers.

Was this the best Phoebe and her Unicorn book? No, but it was certainly a fun read. The art was on point and Simpson continues with a more serialized approach to developing the strips and panels. (Yes, I am not a comic reader so don't know the proper terms.)

I did find it a bit more disjointed in places, and we covered a lot of ground in terms of the time elapsed from the start of the book to the ending. A few pages seemed out of place in the flow of the "plot" and a few were a bit disappointing, but all in all, I enjoyed how Marigold can convey so much with the tilt of her head. And Phoebe is such a fun little girl especially when she's oozing sarcasm.

Phoebe and Marigold are off on a new set of adventures that capture Dana Simpson's incredible imagination and wit. Marigold learns to write fan letters (you can definitely assume you know who the first person she writes one to is). Phoebe finds a like-minded individual on the internet but then finds out she might not like the person so much IRL. And we get to see Marigold's house as well as learning about unicorn elections and how the friends spend their holidays (let's just say Marigold is not about to let a Christmas tree out-sparkle her.)

As usual, a highly entertaining read. Well worth picking up.

Phoebe and her unicorn are back and with it another standing ovation of appreciation. Lets hope the adventures and antics never end. Dana Simpson's unique sense of humor imbues her characters with originality and spunk.

Ivan literally squealed when I showed him this on. So first, let me thank NetGalley for letting me review another Phoebe and her Unicorn adventure.

There's nothing specific I can point out. It follows Phoebe and the people in her life. She deals with teasing, friendships, and other issues. My son has his own things to deal with, and one of them is pointing out the "truth" to people. When Phoebe insisted Marigold was a horse and Marigold stormed off in a huff, it made me happy that he had read that lesson.

There are so many good things pack in here, and it's funny and cute. The little girl in me who loved Unicorns, adores this series. I also love that I can enjoy this with my son.

I hope Dana keeps writing, and that Ivan and I can keep reading.

P.S. It was pretty awesome to see Ivan light up telling his librarian how he got to read the latest Phoebe and Her Unicorn book before anyone else! lol

Not one of the stronger collections of this fun comic series, say the daughters.

Review:

I still haven't read the first books in this series but I am still really liking the ones that I am picking up as the story continues. This is another collection of Phoebe and Marigold, not a full story like the last one, but more like comic strips in one book. If you haven't read any of these, they aren't hard to pick up and just start - as long as you just go with the fact that Phoebe has a unicorn for a bestie.

The illustrations are fun and vibrant, and the dialogue is clever and sarcastic and wonderful for a lot of age groups. I always laugh out loud when I am reading this series and I can't wait for the next one.

4⭐️ Phoebe and her unicorn are just a lot of fun. You can leave the book and come back and easily pick up where you left off. It has heart and morals as both the Unicorn and Phoebe lean to be be better people. As always a great read.

Phoebe and Marigold are wonderful characters and friends. This wasn't my favorite of their adventures but fans will grab for this next installment.

I  recieved a free digital copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

I love that at the very beginning of the book, it informs readers that there's a glossary of terms at the back of the book if you dont understand something.

Marigold the unicorn is hilarious! I like when he (she?) tries to get the cat to create a union! 😂 I even enjoyed the quips that Phoebe threw out there. Overall it was a rather enjoyable book, and I believe my niece would love this!

Dana Simpson never disappoints with her Phoebe and Her Magic Unicorn series. All the illustrations are always colorful, engaging and well detailed. The series chronicles the lives and adventures of 4th grade Phoebe and her best friend and unicorn Marigold. Not only are these graphic novels fun they also touch on topics such as finding out where you fit at school, how to try new experiences and how to deal (comically) with mean girls. Phoebe and Marigold will cross over to variety of readers because of the humor.

These books are always a lot of fun. They're funny and colorful. I love that the vocab is higher level. I let my 7-year-old test reader read this one, and she was cracking up in the other room.

In Dana Simpson's latest Phoebe and Her Unicorn Adventure, Phoebe (along with her unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils) is trying to navigate the fourth grade world. Summer vacation is coming to an end and school is starting. Phoebe has a new teachers. She is trying to make friends with Dakota - someone she does not like. She is trying to get the older kids (fifth graders) to notice how cool she is. All of this is hard when you have a unicorn that only thinks of herself and how "distractingly beautiful" she is.

My daughter was very excited to get this new book since she loved all the previous adventures. She has read this book three times so far (and we have had it for a day). She and I laughed throughout the book. She and I keep going back to certain parts of the book and reread them out loud to others in our family. Dana Simpson captured the life of a fourth grader perfectly. Although Phoebe wants to fit in, the book stays true to the series - being yourself.

Not only is the story entertaining, but the illustrations in the book are amazing. I love the bright colors and Marigold's house is someplace I want to live - oh yeah, we finally get to see Marigold's house. And I would love to have her piece of furniture made of "beautiful, half-forgotten visions of a better world".

I would defiantly recommend this book and the complete series to both kids and parents. The humor that helps move the book along is not lost with kids. Parents will enjoy Phoebe as well as her unicorn's unbridled vanity.

This is a fun book for fans of the Phoebe and her Unicorn series. It seems like you really need to start at the beginning of this series to get many of the jokes, which is a bit of a downfall for me. I would like to be able to recommend any of the books in the series to readers.

Loved it and super happy that it was a return to episodic story telling versus the graphic novel the last release was. I enjoyed that still but the real magic is seeing how much can be contained and told on a single page. I love this comic and love sharing it with parents of reluctant readers and watching them come back in for more because their reader is hooked. Thanks for the magic.

My first problem with Unicorn of Many Hats wasn't the author's fault so much as an issue with managing my own expectations: after the 6th issue's graphic novel styling, I was genuinely hoping all of the future volumes would be graphic novels, too! I loved the cohesive, linear story of #6, and it felt so much more polished. Unfortunately, #7 reverts back to the "comics" style with short jokes and one-liners, and after having read a few other issues in the Heavenly Nostrils series, things were beginning to feel rather repetitive. I did, however, appreciate the glossary of terms in the back for the kids, as well as the fact that Phoebe seems to be aging up a bit in the newer issuers, which works well for kids who have been growing up with the series. I personally don't plan on reading any future Heavenly Nostrils books, but I'll totally offer these to my son when he's old enough.

Thank you to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for offering me this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
