I enjoyed reading A Wedding at Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer, book two in her new Two Lane series. Greer is the tech person among the ladies running Two Love Lane, creating the algorithms for love matches. One day, while the other three ladies are out of town Greer is out-bidded for a one-of-a-kind wedding dress at an auction, encounters her ex-boyfriend and his fiancé, and meets an Englishman. Ford, hiding the fact that he is a Baron, is an artist spending time in Charleston to paint the last picture for his show. When the winner of the gown runs a contest for brides, Ford helps Greer, who entered, try to win it in exchange for her posing for him. I love that both are honest with each other about their pasts but not their feelings. I also liked the way Ms. Kramer handled the ex-boyfriend as well as Ford’s epiphany about his painting and brother. There are a number of surprises and twists and turns before anyone can have a happy ever after.
I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting it down, but I wanted, no needed, an epilogue telling me the answers to a couple of cliffhangers. Ms. Kramer wove a delightful story, drawing me in and not letting go until I read the last page. I definitely recommend this book to other readers and look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This was a good read but, I was disappointed in how it ended. I wanted to see a wedding & we got right up to putting on the dress & it ended. I found this book taking me a while to finish, it just seemed to go on. I enjoyed the characters of Ford & Greer as they went through the wedding dress contest. I also enjoyed seeing the characters of Macy, Deacon, Ella & Miss Thing again & how they all rallied around Greer when they realized that she was falling for Ford. The drama of Ford’s life was also engaging but we weren’t privy to the outcome in this story which disappointed me. All in all I like the series & would recommend to read.
Greer is a delightful and complex character. Her initial meeting with Ford is fraught with humor and misunderstanding and leads to a wonderful opportunity for them to get to know each other without artifice. Choices they have made complicate their relationship, but there is a satisfying conclusion. I had to skip through the sex to give it the 5 stars.
A Wedding At Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer is book Two in the "Two Love Lane" series. This is the story of Greer Jones and Stanford Elliott Wentworth Smythe, the Eighth Baron of Wickshire aka Ford Smith. I have read the previous book but feel this is easily a standalone book.
Greer and her friend run a match making/dating agency business. Although Greer was once engaged she never found that spark with him or any other man. But she always had a dream book filled with wedding wishes and stuff. One day at an auction she spies the dream wedding dress and goes into a biding war but looses it. Then she finds out the new owner will be doing a contest for the winner to get the dress. Greer happens to meet Ford who she thinks is a poor fellow and sets in motion a pretend engagement to help set in motion her chances of winning the dress.
Ford has just recently gotten out of a bad relationship where the women was just out for his money, has distrust in women now. So when he first meets Greer he thinks she is just another women out to get something and doesn't tell her who he really is. But the more he gets to know her the more he is finding out he was wrong....but how will she take the truth of his true self?
Kieran Kramer delivers another lovely story to the Two Love Lane Series. I really enjoyed Christmas At Two Love Lane and totally recommend it but A Wedding At Two Love Lane can totally be read on its own.
This story is all about Greer, whom is one f the owners of Two Love Lane in Charleston! She is the serious one but one day a wedding dress came up for sale in an auction and it is just what she has always dreamed of. Only issue Greer is no where near a wedding date for herself! Pierre buys the dress ( he owns a dress shop in Charleston) now he is still holding hatred for Two Love Lane due to the fact the ladies could not find him love. Pierre decides to make this perfect dress the object of a competition! Now Greer finds herself one of the finalists, but then she needs the help of Ford.....Ford is the friend of her ex boyfriend!!!
A Wedding At Two Love Lane was very enjoyable and look forward to more enjoyable stories from Kieran!
This was a crazy, fun laugh a minute book! Greer is co-owner and a matchmaker at Two Love Lane. She seems to find love for everyone but herself and has a failed engagement to prove it. It makes for awkward moments when her ex-fiancee and his bride to be move to beautiful Charleston where she lives and she seems to run into them wherever she goes. A fake romance with Ford Smith, who turns out to be an English Baron turns into a real romance with Greer. Greer covets a gorgeous wedding gown that is supposed to bring good luck to the owner, even though she has no plans of wedding. She needs a partner to enter the wedding gown contest though and this is where the fake romance with Ford comes in. Try as they both may ,romance may just be in the cards in this delightful romantic tale. I really enjoyed reading this!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a review copy in exchange for my honest review.
A Wedding at 2 Love Lane was a cute read, but I didn’t love it.
While the story is entertaining, I struggled with the fact that it seemed to be written at a 30,000 foot level. The bones of the story were laid out, but there were large gaps were more detail would have made the characters more relatable and easier to connect to.
The flip side of that is that pieces of the story that weren’t really important were went into in a lot of detail.
I also found myself a little confused about the direction of the story as there several sub plots going on all at the same time.
I liked Greer and Ford and would have really liked to have gotten to know them better. This is my first read by this author, so I don’t know if some of my issues are related to her style of writing or specific to this work.
So, I’m still chuckling at the crazy ride I was just on in reading A Wedding at Two Love Lane. This book was so much fun to read!
Seriously!
Greer and Ford were sexy, snarky, funny, smart, crazy and just simply amazing. There was so much life happening in this book. A crazy auction, a wedding dress contest, a couple of drunk frat boys, some nude portrait posing, a trip to The Price is Right, a run in with an ex or two . . . see what I mean? Crazy shit.
And it was awesome. Laugh out loud, root for the underdog, cringe through the meet-cute awesome. And I can’t write more, because A Wedding at Two Love Lane is just something you need to experience. Buckle in, you’re going to have a wild ride!
Greer Jones is a co-owner and Matchmaker at Two Love Lane. She is content with her life until she finds out that her ex=fiancé and his new fiancé are moving to Savannah and, keep popping up WHEREVER SHE GOES!!! When they pop up, they tend to appear with a man named Ford Smith, a handsome, charming 'starving artist' that Greer is strangely attracted to! Little does she know that Ford is a Baron in England!
Ford decides he must paint Greer's portrait and, she agrees. Meanwhile, they both decide to participate in a contest for the perfect wedding gown with 4 other 'couples, put together by a man who hates the fact that Greer couldn't find him a match!
The games, results, point systems and, how each couple ends up knowing each other so much better, are, at times, HILARIOUS! This story was quite the romp and, in the end, the final decision directly effects the outcome of true love! Something it takes the whole contest for a few couples to realize!
Another lovely story in this really enjoyable series. I've read the first one so knew the main characters but it could easily be read on its own, although I'd also recommend the first book which was just as good.
This story is about Greer, one of the owners of Two Love Lane, a matchmaking company set in Charleston. I've never been to Charleston but both books have made me want to really visit it as the descriptions are lovely. Greer is the number cruncher of the company and works on the algorithms that match people with their perfect match. She is very practical and quite serious, but then a wedding dress comes up for sale in an auction and she just falls in love with the dress and the romantic story behind it, even though she's not even dating anyone, much less engaged to be married!
During this auction she meets up with Ford, who turns out to be a friend of her ex-boyfriend (nearly fiancee) who also turns up in town with his new fiancee, another complication for Greer. The wedding dress is bought by Pierre, who owns a dress shop in Charleston and has never forgiven the ladies at Two Love Lane for not finding him a match, even though he's a cranky, horrible man so it's hardly surprising. He then decides to have a competition to win the wedding dress and of course the interest in it goes viral, the press get involved and it is televised. Greer ends up as one of the finalists, even though she's single and not part of a couple, but then to help Ford steps up and is her 'other half' for the competition for the tasks they are set in order to win the dress.
Ford is actually an artist looking for inspiration, which he finds in Greer, and he asks her to sit for a portrait he wants to paint of her, so they both agree to help each other out. Ford is actually a Baron, but Greer doesn't know this until near the end of the book as he is very quiet about it and just wants to be a normal artist in Charleston without any expectations.
The competition really takes hold through most of the book and I have to say I didn't like the attitudes of some of the other contestants initially, although most of them did work things out in the end. Ford also let himself down a bit at the results too, but again redeemed himself later. I wish there had been just a little bit more at the end, as I felt it ended just a little bit abruptly, and probably because I wanted to know more! But I think this one was my favourite out of the two books so far and I look forward to reading the next book in this very enjoyable series.
A Wedding at Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer
Two Love Lane #2
Greer Jones is a matchmaker but she is also a dreamer. She has been planning the “perfect” wedding with pins and scrapbooks for a long time. When she sees the “perfect” wedding gown she tries to pick it up at auction and fails only to be given another opportunity to win it through a bit of game playing promotion put on by the auction winner of the dress. Wanting to win she shows up with Ford Smith, an artist, and begins to compete. Ford is more than she thinks he is while also being leery of love. The two do finally end up with a HEA BUT there are some twists and turns and hoops to get through before it happens.
I had trouble relating to these characters and the idea of “perfect” dress, wedding, man, whatever…matches can be made but relationships take work. I didn’t see what Greer and Ford saw in one another and had trouble understanding their motivations. There were side characters and baddies and goodies and…maybe this book had the feel of a New Adult romance and that is what put me off…not sure. Anyway, I am sure some will love this story and find it a fun filled way to spend some time. It did not appeal to me, though.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC – This is my honest review.
2-3 Stars
A Wedding at Two Love Lane is the second book in Two Love Lane series. While I wasn't a huge fan of the first book in the series, I truly loved this one. Greer and Ford just seemed to click right from the beginning. As love will do it sneaks up on these two even though neither is looking for any kind of relationship. Both have been burned in the past but it seems that what is growing between them is the real deal. Will Greer still accept Ford once she finds out he's not the starving artist she believes him to be??
This book is wonderfully written and I think you will enjoy the story and characters as much as I did. I highly recommend this one.
It's stories like this that remind me why I love romance. Kieran Kramer reminds us why it's okay to dream. Modern day reality meets fairytale fantasy and creates unforgettable magic. Greer is a dreamer, whose lost the will to dream. Ford is a realist who wants to learn how to dream. A beautiful dress, a chance encounter and one night that rivals any childhood fantasy could be the beginning of something wonderful. Wedding at Two Love Lane is a sentimental tale that allows readers to escape into the world of classic romance and remember when.
Greer Jones has made a real name for herself at the elegant matchmaking agency Two Love Lane. Greer is more interested in the business of love than the experience of it, but she can't help but covet a gorgeous wedding gown that's the prize in an upcoming cocktail-party contest. In a moment of brazen inspiration, Greer asks a handsome Brit she's only just met to accompany her to the party. He agrees and Greer believes her date is a starving artist. Little does she know the truth Ford Smith, as he calls himself, is actually Stanford Elliott Wentworth Smythe, the Eighth Baron of Wickshire. Fresh off a breakup with a money-grubbing siren who deceived him all the way to the altar, Ford has no desire to fall in love.
A fun, light hearted read of a pretend romance that turns real. There are misunderstandings & of course that dress! This is the second novel in the series but could be read as a stand alone. The characters have depth & are likeable. The pace of the plot is good. I really enjoyed it & will definitely read more from the author
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
The first book in this series was a “clean” read but this one is definitely not as it has both cursing (including f-bombs) and on-screen sex. Although this is technically the second book of this series, you do not have to have read the first one to enjoy this book. There are spoilers regarding the first book but this story completely stands alone.
I really, really liked the first book of this series but this one did not have the same humor and charm that Christmas At Two Love Lane did – it actually felt like it was written by a totally different author, which was incredibly disappointing. The biggest problem, to my surprise, was how confused the flow of this book was. There was a weird combination of formal and old-fashioned sounding mixed with modern pop-culture references, A LOT of side characters and plots that really cluttered up the story without adding to it in any positive way, and a lot of “telling” rather than showing. We were repeatedly treated to side-plots that added nothing but length to the already confused base-story, which made it hard to stay focused. Then there were the random conversations (usually over the phone) that were simply devices so that our main female character could explain things that had happened between she and Ford, rather than the author describing the events that showed our main couple bonding. With all of the side-stories, it was surprising and disappointing how many parts of the story between Greer and Ford were told instead of shown.
I also wasn't crazy about Greer. Her obsession with weddings was beyond the normal, to the point of being unhealthy. The way she lost her mind about the dress wasn't cute – especially when brides who were actually planning their upcoming weddings were in the running. Although I did like the eventual end to that drama, I found myself rooting against her because of her behavior - and I am a single woman who really, really wanted to root for her out of solidarity. I just couldn't do it.
..and what was going on with the bedroom decorating ridiculousness? It made zero sense and just cemented my suspicion that Greer wasn't all there. No sane human would allow that to happen, not even to be helpful to a friend. That said, I really wish this book had been about Jill and her tech-mogul true love rather than Greer and Ford because that storyline was a lot more believable and interesting.
Although this book wasn't a match for me, if you're looking for a read set in the south where a lot of weird, dramatic things happen, and that features a slightly-neurotic, wedding-obsessed single matchmaker and sexy, secret British lord who is also a quirky artist, you might enjoy this book.
I requested and was generously granted an ARC of this book via NetGalley and the publisher. I was under no obligation to write this review.
This was as good as the first book of this series. Bringing international characters and a bit of magic to the story was brilliant!
Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for a copy of this book. A very enjoyable addition to the Two Love Lane series. Not essential to have read others in the series, but given that I have done so, was good to catch up with ‘old friends’.

A cute contemporary romance! I've read some of Ms Kramer's historical romances and they were funny, so I thought I should try this one. Though this ends way too fast and I have unresolved questions, Greer and Ford have an original and honest build to a hot romance. That it features a whole host of quirky side characters just makes it even sweeter.
The second book in Kramer's Two Love Lane series does not disappoint. Greer, the numbers girl, gets thrown for a loop by an enigmatic Englishman who, she assumes, is a struggling artist. He makes the assumption that she is shallow and frivolous when she bets on a wedding dress at auction despite the fact that she has no groom. It was a pleasure seeing these two work past their misconceptions and fall crazy in love despite the big gap in their situations. Can't wait for book 3!
A Wedding at Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer is the second book in the Two Love Lane contemporary romance series. As with most series in the romance genre this edition of the series features an all new leading couple in the story and can be read as a standalone if choosing to do so. The series is centered around the ladies running the Two Love Lane dating agency in beautiful Charleston, SC with this story highlighting Greer and her opportunity at finding her own love. There are glimpses of previous characters though for those that do follow the whole series.
Greer Jones has been wedding obsessed her whole life keeping scrapbooks of her favorite wedding items. The job of helping others find the true love in their lives has been perfect for Greer but she hasn’t yet had that spark she seeks with anyone, including her ex who had proposed at one point. Now the ex is getting married and Greer wonders if it will ever happen for her.
When attending an auction Greer learns of “Royal Bliss”, a wedding gown that is also said to bring luck in love to the owner. Completely out of character for Greer she finds herself in a bidding war against Pierre Simons who has a vendetta against Greer and the ladies of Two Love Lane so of course he continues to outbid her. When things don’t go her way Greer is heartbroken until she learns Pierre plans to hold a contest with the gown as a prize and Greer’s ticket to winning is the sexy Ford who she had met at the very auction she found Royal Bliss.
I have to say I thought this installment of the series was quite a fun read with Greer going after her dream of a wedding dress. She and Ford come together to try to win the competition with a “fake” engagement that you just know will come to turn out to be more by the end. The contest had all sorts of fun events that were quite entertaining during the book too. And reading this one at Christmas time I couldn’t help but keep comparing Pierre to the Grinch or Scrooge. But all of it made for a lot of fun.
Now for the couple in the story, I did quite like both Greer and Ford as I got to know each of them. I wasn’t a huge fan of Ford hiding his true identity but with where he was coming from in his past it was understandable. I will also certainly give the author credit for taking a completely realistic approach to this couple by giving them a past that needed to be dealt with and applaud Greer in how she handled finding out in the story. So in the end this one was my favorite of the series so far and I definitely look forward to seeing more from these ladies of Two Love Lane if it continues.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
