"A Wedding at Two Love Lane" by Kieran Kramer
A very busy contemporary romance.. lots of twists, turns, and goings on. As a whole, I really liked the story, but there were a few times that I wanted to rush on ahead. I did manage to keep myself under control and stick with the pace the author set. I was gifted a free copy of this story..and if you like contemporary romance stories, I truly believe you will enjoy reading this story. Happy Reading!!

Kieran Kramer likes funny plots, misunderstandings, strong and determined heroines and awkward moments.
Put all that together and you have the book # 2 in the series.

Greer is the heroine who has a true obsession with marriage and love. That does not mean she's getting married soon. But her collection of photos on the subject is huge, and after all, she works on a matchmaking agency, right?
So when she needs to participate in a contest about the perfect wedding gown, she does not think twice, and because she needs a partner, she calls the "not-so-appealing" Ford Smith.

Buuuuuuuuuttt ... Ford is a Baron.
And even though he was running away from relationships and wedding, something about Greer drew him in a lot, and he was completely drawn to... wanting to help her. But starting with help, jumping to the next step would not take long...

A delightful contemporary novel about unlikely couple and HEA.

Book two in the Two Love Lane series focuses on the computer and math wise Greer. Since she was a little girl she has dreamed and planned her dream wedding and she has finally found the dress she wants. Now she just needs to find the perfect man. At an auction to try and buy her dream dress she runs into a stranger with a British accent and an intriguing personality. She doesn’t get the dress, and shortly after she runs into her ex that she walked away from four years ago back home several states away. She never dreamed of running into him on the streets of Charleston or that he would be with his fiancé or that he was friends with the intriguing British guy from the auction. So, things get a bit turned upside down in Greer’s usually predictable and dull life. She enters a contest to win her dream dress, gets into a fake proposal with the British guy, poses nude for his painting, and falls hopelessly in love with him.

Ford is in Charleston to get away from a disastrous breakup back home. He was left at the altar and his ex-fiance left him for his best friend. So he doesn’t trust love. He wants nothing to do with it and isn’t looking for any sort of relationship. But something about Greer and how she is so open and is going for what she wants, even in an unconventional way, intrigues him. He also wants to paint her, so they set up a partnership. He will be her fake partner in the competition to win the dress and she will pose for his painting. Sparks fly but he works really hard to keep his heart out of it.

I enjoyed their story. It was a cute, Hallmark-style romance but with a lot of passion thrown in. The conflict of him not being able to open up and trust again added some emotional tension to their love story and when he comes back to win her it was so romantic and perfect. I actually wanted more and wished the whole wedding was a little slower or that there was more after the wedding. I wanted more from Greer and Ford which was good. The author left me wanting more but happy with how things turned out. I wasn’t ready for it to end.

Greer Jones is one of the three partners at Two Love Lane, a matchmaking agency. For years she dated her high school boyfriend, and everyone expected them to marry--but when he proposed, she realized she didn't love him, and said no.

It's just as well her business is in Charleston, South Carolina, rather than her little home town of Waterloo, Wisconsin, because everyone, including her parents, thinks she did the wrong thing.

But now, on the same day she finds out her old boyfriend, Wesley, is engaged, she attends a charity auction and loses out on a beautiful wedding dress with a magical story to it, to one of the few clients she was never able to find a soulmate for. He makes it clear he's going to use it in some revenge plan.

At the same auction, she meets an artist, who is handsome, charming, and only in Charleston temporarily. He says his name is Ford Smith. He wants to paint her portrait.

Where is all this going? Crazy places! Fun places!

Only one of the Two Love Lane partners is married. Ford, of course, has a much longer name, and a romantic history of his own that left him standing at the altar--but his ex-fiancée is now pregnant, and he might be the father of twins. Or his ex-groomsman might be... Julie, sister of one of the other partners, has a secret love she's separated from for reasons that might seem silly to people who don't have any serious phobias. The ex-client that got the wedding dress, Pierre Simons, launches a contest to promote his bridal wear business. Greer, for no logical reason, enters the contest with her new friend Ford, only to find they're competing against her ex-boyfriend and his new fiancée, Serena, in the finals.

Can this get any crazier? Yes, Yes, it can. And it's a lot of fun. Silly, but fun. And I admit I can't figure out how Ford, with both parents living and a living older brother, is the Eighth Baron Wickshire. But perhaps that's just being picky. It's still fun.

Enjoy.

A WEDDING AT TWO LOVE LANE - Kieran Kramer
Two Love Lane, Book 2

Contemporary Romance

Charleston, South Carolina - Present Day

As one of the matchmakers at Two Love Lane, Greer Jones has found happily-ever-afters for many couples, but for herself, true love hasn't found her. However, when she spots a gorgeous wedding gown, she immediately knows she has to have it, and she plans to enter a couples contest to win it, even if she isn't engaged-or dating someone. There are three rounds and she needs a "would-be-groom" to get her through them. Greer asks a visiting Englishman she just met (and whom she finds intriguing) to pretend to be her fiancé, and he counters by wanting her to pose for a painting for him.

Stanford Elliott Wentworth Smythe, the Eighth Baron of Wickshire, is going by the name Ford Smith while he visits Charleston because he doesn't want people to fawn over him when they learn about his peerage and wealth. He is really in the United States to find a subject for a portrait, and Greer literally fell into his lap. Ford isn't interested in love (or marriage) at this time because he recently ended an engagement to another woman after finding her in bed with another man. But Greer has piqued his interest, and he agrees to help her in the dress contest. While Greer doggedly works to try and win the contest, in-between times she poses for Ford, which leads to more than painting…

Greer isn't looking to get married, only to obtain a wedding dress for a future wedding in A WEDDING AT TWO LOVE LANE by Kieran Kramer, the second book in her Two Love Lane series. Greer was involved with another man, Wesley, back in her hometown in Wisconsin, but turned down his proposal. As A WEDDING AT TWO LOVE LANE opens, she learns that not only is Wesley engaged to another woman, but they will be living in Charleston. It also turns out the engaged couple are-you guessed it-also competing for the wedding gown. Greer isn't sure how she feels about having to be around her ex and his current lady, but she knows she doesn't want them to beat her out for the dress.

Ford is amused and intrigued by Greer's need for the wedding gown (it's an old wedding gown called Royal Bliss that was once worn by an iconic American actress who later became a European princess). Greer is nearly fanatical about winning the gown, and begs for Ford's help. He goes one step further and gets down on his knee and proposes marriage-a faux one, of course. Meanwhile, Ford learns that his ex-fiancée is pregnant with twins….and isn't sure if he's the father or not. He might be distracted with that news, but Greer provides him with a distraction of her own.

A WEDDING AT TWO LOVE LANE is a cute tale about finding love unexpectedly. Greer's determination to win the wedding gown blinds her to the fact that she's falling in love with Ford. His life is complicated, and maybe now isn't a good time to get involved, but there's no denying the sparks are flying between them. Will Greer get the gown she wants…and Ford as her groom? Find out in the charming and engaging A WEDDING AT TWO LOVE LANE.

A Wedding at Two Love Lane is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone. Nevertheless, I occasionally felt as if I had missed some background information on some of the characters and the matchmaking agency.
I struggled a little with the first few pages of the book, but after that I enjoyed the this light and fluffy, and slightly quirky, contemporary romance, especially the dialogue. However, I thought there was too much focus on the wedding dress competition and other external events rather than the romance between Greer and Ford. This is also meant I felt little connection to the main characters. The ending was too rushed for me, but it worked for this type of book.
While this type of romance isn’t quite my cup of tea, I did enjoy it, and I’m sure lots of other people will love it.
3.5 stars.

A Wedding at Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer is the 2nd book in her Two Love Lane series. Greer Jones, our heroine, is a partner in a popular matchmaking agency called Two Love Lane, which covers everything from start to finish; finding the perfect match for the client, helping pick out the wedding dress, and the planning and preparation of the wedding event. Greer loves her job, and helping everyone have their happy ever after; but she has not been successful in finding true love for herself.

At an auction, Greer sees a wedding dress that is her dream, and she is desperate to win the bid. After a bidding war, a local business man and villian, hates Greer and her partners (because they couldn’t find him a match), wins the dress, much to Greer’s chagrin. Why does she want the dress, especially since there is no man in her life? She collects a wedding perfect dress album for one day, and this was it.

Ford Smith, a British painter, happens to be at the auction and meets Greer. Later, they meet again, as Greer ex- fiancée is in town with his new fiancée, and they plan to stay in the same town as Greer. Ford, was going to paint the ex’s fiancée, but changes his mind; as he finds Greer to be the perfect person to be his muse and he wants to paint her.

When the infamous wedding dress is put up in a contest, Greer is determined to enter and win it. However, they will only accept submissions from engaged couples, and Greer convinces Ford to pretend to be her betrothed. A friendship begins, which will eventually turn into a sweet romance. Ford is attracted to Greer, as she is smart, independent, brash and totally different than any other women he has met. Greer thinks Ford is a starving painter, only to find out later that he is wealthy, and his real name is Stanford Elliott Wentworth Smythe, the Eighth Baron of Wickshire.

What follows is a fun sweet romance between two different people, from different worlds, and yet their chemistry together was sizzling. The contest, which had about 12 entrants, involved Greer/Ford, her ex-fiancee/his betrothed and other brides to be that was fun to watch, as they had to do different events over the course of a period of a few days, with people voting. Nearer to the end, things did get wild with some dishonest competition. Did Greer win? You need to read the book to find out.

A Wedding in Two Love Lane was a nice sweet fun romance, a great couple and some good secondary characters. I thought though that the ending was very abruptly done, and I would have liked to see more. Overall, it was an excellent story, which I suggest you should read, especially if you enjoy fun romances.

Greer is good at finding love for others but when it comes to herself she would just rather let fate happen when it happens. When she is after the wedding dress of her dreams it seems that fate may have other options for her. Ford is an artist first and foremost and when he sees Greer he knows he need to convince her to help him but how he goes about it he's not sure if she will help him or boot him to the door with out a backwards glance. Can they both come together and help each other or will it all be just a little to much for them and the craziness they have set out to obtained?

I really want to like this book but I just couldn't. I found the story a little much, to much detail to drag the story out. I felt like the story was predictable as well more time then not. I loved Miss Thing she had this mama quirkiness about her and she was always a good laugh. I loved Jill she had this take not prisoner felling about her and she would stop at nothing even when fear seemed to much. I really didn't like Pierre he was super annoying and you wanted to punch him so the author did an amazing job with him. This story does has adult language so may not be suitable to for all ages.

A Wedding At Two Love Lane is a great light romance reading, it's very entertaining.
While our heroine Greer works as a matchmakers at True Love Lane and is really successful at it she hasn't had the same luck when it comes to love. Still she remains obsessed with weddings, I found that quirk about her very endearing. She's currently determined to obtain a very special wedding dress and that is how she will meet Ford, who is really a member of the English nobility.

I liked the main characters, also the story has a nice flow. My biggest problem and the reason I didn't give it another star was the ending; it was too abrupt, I think an epilogue or an extra chapter was needed; nonetheless this book was an enjoyable read.

This is the second book in the Two Love Lane series. After I finished Christmas at Two Love Lane which was Macy and Deacon's story I was very much looking forward to reading the stories of the other two matchmaker friends, Greer Jones and Ella Mancini. A Wedding at Two Love Lane is Greer's stroy. She meets our hero at an auction where she tries and fails to make the winning bid for a beautiful wedding gown even though she isn't engaged or even dating anyone. It turns out that a handsome Brit, Ford Smith who is really Baron Stanford Ellitt Wentworth Smythe, traveling as Ford Smith so he isn't recognized, is sitting next to Greer at the auction. And not just by chance!

Greer and Ford both have some baggage from past experiences but there is a special connection between them from the first day they meet. I was totally engaged in the development of their relationship which kept me turning the pages to see what all would occur before they have their HEA. It's a fascinating story. I highly recommend it!

When a fake romance turns real magic flies in this fast paced swoon worthy read. I enjoyed reading this romance novel that has characters that are well developed with intriguing pasts. The setting is perfect for this remarkable love story.

Cute love story about a modern day royal, in disguise, who finds the woman of his dreams. There's fun, passion and a community of friends that make this a special read. My only criticism is that the ending felt rushed a bit. I understood the desire to get the girl, but the pace of the last 5% felt different from the rest of the novel.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This novel takes us back to Two Love Lane for a second chance
romance.

Greer is one of the matchmakers at True Love Lane and takes pride in her achievements. Although she is good at matchmaking, it doesn't mean that she can just as easily find her soulmate. She has already walked away from a long term relationship.

Ford is an English gentleman masquerading as a poor artist during his stay in Charleston. He too has been deceived by a money grabber and has no faith in love.

When Ford sets eyes on Greer, he sees his muse in her. He attends a charity auction where Greer is set on bidding for a wedding gown with some history attached to it. Unfortunately, she is a partnerless bride. He steps in as the pretend groom and they find themselves having to compete with other couples for this prize. It ends up in a TV reality show and although they become friends and comfortable with the situation, things take a turn for the worse. On top of that, he receives some unsettling news. There is a connection between them, but their situation doesn't give them much room to explore further. Can they turn things around to have a happily ever after?

I like the storyline and Ford's true identity makes it a bit of a fairy tale. Greer's obsession and the length that she is prepared to go to for the perfect wedding are a tad over the top. I felt that Jill's story interferes with the main story, but it’s an read enjoyable nevertheless.

I was kindly issued with an eARC via NetGalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. A nice easy enjoyable read that does not set the world alight but readable.

Oh sigh. This is just the sort of secret identity love story you need to buoy your spirits. Greer's always been both a tech-y and a wedding planner (for herself). Ford is not who she thinks he is. The two of them meet cute and well, you know how this is going to end. Along the way, there's good dialogue and character development. You'll find yourself caring about both of them and rooting for the relationship. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is a cheery, happy, read.

What an adventure! It all started at an auction with a wedding dress. Greer's mother is telling her that she shouldn't have broken up (4years ago) with her boyfriend. Now he is engaged again and Greer isn't. Greer doesn't regret saying no to her ex, but it has caused some problems. Then she sees the magical wedding dress at the auction. Problem is, there is someone else that wants it just because she wants it. When she loses the dress, she meets an Englishman. Ford has followed Greer because he wants to paint her. He doesn't want to get caught up in her fervor for the wedding dress. The problem is, he does get caught up. He was jilted at the alter and is not looking for a new love. There is too much heartache there. But, Greer is different and he can't help but go along with the quest for the dress. Greer is also competing for the dress with her ex and his new fiancée. Ford and Greer live on different continents and she isn't sure that she will be able to keep him. He is fighting love and isn't sure why.

Greer has been thinking about her wedding most of her life. At a charity event Greer sees a one of a kind wedding dress being auctioned off. She has to have it and thus begins her quest to own the wedding dress of her dreams. Ford, an artist, is visiting from England and when he sees Greer he knows that she is the one he has to paint. Together they work to make each of their dreams come true. Sweet romance.

Everyone deserves a wedding right? Greer has been planning her wedding for ages she doesn't have a groom yet but that hasn't stopped her. She has just found the perfect dress but just as she thinks that she has won it, it is won by her rival. She can't understand why he will do anything to mess with her she knows that he is jealous of the business that she runs with her friends as they weren't able to find her a partner. But that isn't their fault. Greer helps people find their soul mates but she just hasn't found hers yet so that she what surprises her about wanting that dress. She is able to win it if she signs up for this bridal competition even though she doesn't have a boyfriend she takes the leap. She gets accepted a future bride but some of the others aren't happy so her new Ford steps up and offers to help her out. But things are messy with Ford as the more time that Greer spends with him the deeper she falls but does Ford feel the same way? Ford can't ever let anyone in again, he has had his heart broken once before and he doesn't know if he can give Greer what she deserves. The competition has been fun and he has enjoyed his time with Greer she gave him inspiration to paint again but he just can't be her future groom. Where do they go from here? A great story of love, new beginnings and future brides. I was lucky enough to receive a copy via Netgalley & the publishing house in exchange for my honest review.
