A fabulous installment to the Cold Fury Hockey series, Reed and Josie light up the pages. Book 10 may feel like an intimidating series, but rest assured it is a complete standalone. Having laid a solid friendship, these two play off of each other beautifully. The banter and wit between them is so cute. Josie is an ER doctor. She's tough and witty, I loved seeing her mesh with Reed. Reed is riding an all time high, having just won the Stanley Cup. He's a fun character, and easy to fall in love with. Especially how he goes out of his way for Josie.

Overall, I really enjoyed Reed. The characters are fun, and I love seeing glimpses of characters from the past. The story is unique, easy to follow and isn't too much when it comes to angst and drama. I would recommend to the reader looking for a Sexy Hockey player and the smart woman he can't get enough of.

Reed has my heart. Reed is now my 2nd favorite Fury behind Zack. Reed is coming off the high of winning the Stanley Cup when he is interrupted one evening by his new neighbor Josie. I loved this spit fire doctor. She lights a fire in him and she ingrains a piece of herself in him. Soon they are texting, talking, and eating pizzas while working on puzzles. Life is simple. I loved that he admired her work so much. I loved that she tried to figure out hockey.

These two stole my heart. They were hot and sweet. Even when things were shaky, they were honest, they talked, and they figured it out. Sawyer as always gives us past favorite characters and brings in new ones that we will hear about later.

Next door neighbors turned lovers kept me intrigued with this installment of Sawyer Bennetts Carolina Fury series. Even though it is book 10 of the series it can be read as a standalone.

Opposites attract in this fast pace well written book. What's starts out as neighbors, to friends, to something more. Reed and Josie ended up being the perfect fit together

I absoluely loved Reed and Josie's story! Their sexy banter and easy friendship makes their attraction sky rocket into a great love story. Reed will be buring up the pages and taking your heart along the way. You can't go wrong with the Cold Fury Series!

I love when Sawyer writes a new book! I especially enjoy when she can write a book that I cannot put down, and that’s exactly what she did with Reed. And in such a long standing series, I think that says a lot! I loved the dialogue in Reed, which is an important to me. The dialogue has to be believable, engaging, add to the chemistry and make me want to turn the page. And this takes me to chemistry, I felt it from the beginning, the tension is subtle, but there and I loved that.

Sawyer Bennett has done it again! This is the 10th book in the series and it may be my favorite yet. These books just keep on getting better and better. What’s better then a friends to lovers book and a reformed player in one. Reed and Josie are perfect and their banter was great! I loved how this book was told in dual point of view. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Good Lord thank goodness for hot sexy hockey players like Reed Olson. Another great hit by Sawyer Bennett and her Cold Fury series since the beginning. We have Dr. Josie, total opposite of the kind of woman Reed is into but man there is tons of hot chemistry between them. Sawyer Bennett and her men are just too hard to resist and applaud Josie for the restraint she had but man he is hot and irresistible. Readers will love this book for it shows us all of Sawyer Bennetts naughty imagination and hello hot sex that even a cold glass of water is not enough. Loved it.

“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”

This book pulls you right in. The story has laughs, betrayal, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Alex (Cold Fury Hockey, #1)
Garrett (Cold Fury Hockey, #2)
Zack (Cold Fury Hockey #3)
Ryker (Cold Fury Hockey #4)
Hawke (Cold Fury Hockey #5)
Max (Cold Fury Hockey, #6)
Roman (Cold Fury Hockey, #7)
Lucas (Cold Fury Hockey, #8)
Van (Cold Fury Hockey, #9)

This is Josie and Reed’s story. Josie is an ER doctor. She is all about work. She has no time for fun. Besides she is just a little bit heartbroken after her man choose his job over her. Reed is a hockey player that is keeping her up with all his headboard banging nights. When she has had enough she goes over and tells him all about it. The become friends. There is chemistry, but neither is looking for anything more then friends with maybe a few benefits. Reed is determined to be friends as Josie makes him laugh and keeps him on his toes. But when the past comes back for Josie will she give up everything with Reed or will she keep on the path with Reed and shut out the past. Can she overcome the past hurt to give Reed a chance? Or is he just spending time with her until someone else better comes along?

I highly recommend this story, and this author. Can’t wait to read the next story in this series!

Oh Reed Olson… You are some kind of guy…

Another fun Cold Fury book by Sawyer Bennett. I am not typically a hockey girl, but Sawyer Bennett has completely made me fall in love with the boys of the Cold Fury!

We get Reed Olson’s love story! I loved it. I loved Dr. Josie Ives & Reed together. Josie challenged Reed in a way that made you fall in love with her and root for her! It was fun to watch him fall all over himself for her. Here is this famous hockey player being put in his place by his neighbor who doesn’t put up with his crap! It was perfect. And Josie was funny! I loved her poking fun at Reed. She was too much.

But as these two started a friends/ neighbors with benefits relationship, the line quickly becomes blurred. Enter in an ex-boyfriend, and you have the perfect storm for the perfect book.

“I may not know what I’m doing half of the time with Josie, but in this bed, I know exactly what she needs. It’s the only thing that gives me solace at this point.”
~ Sawyer Bennett, Reed (Cold Fury Hockey #10)

One thing that I loved about this book is that it sets things up perfectly for the next book in the series, Marek (Cold Fury Hockey #11). Side note, I have read Marek and it is fantabulous!! One of my favorites in the series.

The Cold Fury gang has buried themselves deep into my heart! Thank you Sawyer, for bringing these characters into my life! I have loved each and every one of them in a different way. Reed and Josie were so fun to get to know. I can’t wait to see what else you have coming our way with this hockey team! #BringIt

While this may be the tenth book in the Cold Fury series and it is recommended that you read the earlier books in the series to know the other characters in the book better, it is totally not necessary. Just know that you may have spoilers in this book about other teammates that were in prior books. With that being said, this book takes place during off season, so there really is not a lot of hockey going on, but some great scenes with the Stanley Cup. I also found that this was an easier read, that it was more on the lighter side with little agnst compared to prior books. Reed just wanted to enjoy his carefree summer and hook-ups with “Barbie’s”, until Josie knocks on his door. I was actually surprised by the storyline. There were events that I thought were going to happen but didn’t actually happen, which added to my enjoyment of the book. I kept expecting this plot twist that didn’t happen and was happy that it didn’t. From how the book started, I wasn’t expecting events to occur the way they did. This book will have you laughing at times, yelling at a character or two for their stupid behavior, and of course there are the steamy sex scenes that each book in the series has. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I’m sure I say this after reading every Coldy Fury Hockey story, but I think this one is my new fave! Reed and the Cold Fury hockey team are in their off season. Reed is suddenly getting tired of all his “Barbies” and when his new neighbor comes by she definitely catches his attention. She’s not his usual type, but she’s beautiful just the same. Josie is Reeds new neighbor and an ER doctor. She’s hesitant to jump into Reeds bed because she’s not his usual, one night stand kind of girl. Reed pushes a friendship on Josie and they get along perfectly. Reed was a pretty fun story to read. Nothing too angsty or dramatic, but plenty of sexiness. Although Reed was a lot different from the previous books I thoroughly enjoyed reading his story. Towards the end we got a glimpse of what is in the future with Merek’s story. Ms. Bennett definitely grabbed my attention and I’m anxiously awaiting for the release of Merek

Reed by Sawyer Bennett is the tenth book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. It can be read as a standalone but why would you do that when you can get more of this fantastic series!!! You would think by the tenth book that you would be bored...but that is so NOT the case. I feel, if anything, it continues to get better and better and Ms. Bennett continually grows as a writer. So back to Reed-what can I say to make you want to pick this book up and devour it? Well it has one hot, yummy, and charismatic hockey player that makes you swoon and a doctor that brings him to his knees. What can be better than that?!

Reed is a hockey player that has some time off in his off-season, He figures he will enjoy his downtime by having a different woman each night and just spend his days relaxing before the season starts back up again. But Reed had no idea that meeting his new neighbor would change all of that in a blink of an eye…

Josie has just moved into her new place and is finally enjoying the perks of being a doctor. She doesn’t have much of a social life so she spends her time working, sleeping, and doing puzzles. But one night changes all of that. And little did she know that knocking on her neighbors door to tell him to keep it down would be the start of one of the best friendships she's ever had with one of the hottest hockey players of all time.

I adored this book! These characters were so relatable that I really loved watching them fall in love. It was beautiful. Reed’s growth was evident as well as Josie's. The story flowed well and Ms. Bennett did a wonderful job incorporating enough steamy goodness and balancing it with friendship and love. I am so excited to see where the next book in the series takes her!

This wasn't what I was expecting and I enjoyed it much more than the other ones I had been reading. Reed was complicated but which of the guys isn't. He's inconsiderate, rude and his neighbor can't stand him. Josie is a character I really loved. She had depth and wasn't afraid to blast Reed for being a butt. I loved that. She and Reed became fast friends and their chemistry was off the charts hot! It even gave me a hot flash. If you've read the other books in the series - you know the formula, but this one was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed it more. So, go ahead and get it!!

I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down until I finished. I laughed at how Josie meets Reed. He’s definitely such a playboy, and has a revolving amount of “ Barbie” type hookups. I love how close they become and the story gets so hot and steamy as they become friends with benefits. I stayed on edge, is her ex wanting to get back together with her? I ached as Reed messes up. Is he the “ one” for her? I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

ER doc Josie Ives has had enough of the headboard banging sex her next door neighbor seems to be so found of. Never in a million years did Josie think banging on his door during headboard banging sex and confronting him could lead to one of the best friendships she’s ever had.
Hockey Star Reed Olson doesn’t know what impressed him more about his next door neighbor; that fact that she practically knocked down his door demanding he keep down his sexcapades or that she has no idea who he is. All he knows is getting to know who Josie is has become a top priority for him.
The Cold Fury team just gets sexier and sexier….sigh.
Up on the ice now is Reed Olson and Josie Ives and their story is a little bit different. With each story I wonder, how it will differ from the last and each time Sawyer shows me how creative she can be.
Reed and Josie don’t start off as potential lovers; they don’t tip-toe around a possible relationship. Nope, in the beginning they just hang-out. Reed enjoys the fact that Josie isn’t a fan trying to get in his pants. She’s not the least bit interested in his stardom and unlike the “Barbies” he’s been known to date…she’s smart. Josie enjoys that she can be herself around Reed; being with him is just easy. It’s okay that she’s more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt and that she can kick back eat her pizza, drink a beer and work on her jigsaw puzzles with no judgement.
Of course a relationship develops….I mean come on, that’s what we are waiting for right? But it’s the way the relationship starts that does it for me. If you know me, I love the whole “romance” of relationships. It’s not the endless scenes of hot sex with explicit details that do it for me; that’s just lust and physical attraction. For me it was reading about how these two fell in the easy pattern of spending time together, getting to know each other and just being themselves and comfortable around each other. Because when relationships start like that…it just makes the initial….how shall I say it…joint venture that much more special.
These characters were easy to like right away and the flow of the story was just right. Sometimes you just need a story where things don’t get all high strung and stressed. You just want a little bit of conflict and disagreement to go along with the easy flow of a relationship.
I love all of the Cold Fury but sometimes it’s hard keeping track of the players and their wives and remembering all of the relationships especially when they are thrown into someone else’s storyline but this storyline was pretty much on it’s on. While there is mention of other players, it’s not overwhelming. I think one of my favorite parts of this book was the set-up of Marek’s story. I can’t wait to get my hands on that one.
You know, that’s what this book is to me. It’s one of those storylines that happening but in the end it seems like the purpose was to set up the next story and I like that.
My favorite scene in this book:
“Hey, Doc,”I say softly. Her gaze focuses on me, her eyes warm and comforting. “I’ve never had sex with a friend before,”I tell her earnestly. “It’s kind of cool.”Her lips curve, her eyes start to sparkle with something that’s just uniquely Josie. “It’s kinda cool,”I say as I hold perfectly still within her body. “I know exactly when you’ll roll your eyes at me.”And on cue, she rolls those beautiful eyes. “See,”I tease her. “I know what makes you laugh and what pisses you off. I don’t quite know all the ways to make you squirm yet, but I have no hesitation in finding out, and it’s the friendship that just makes that easier. Because I know if you get pissed, I know how to get you out of it. I know if you like it, I’ll just give you more. So yeah . . . it’s totally cool fucking your friend.”I get another eye roll, but her gaze is filled with soft understanding and perhaps even agreement when it comes to rest on me again. I bend down as I brush my mouth against hers. “Feel the same?”“I know exactly what you mean,”she says quietly, but the words punch into me hard, knowing that she’s feeling the same way I am.
How freaking romantic is that!!!.....sigh and swoon.

Sooo… REED. I liked his characters from appearances in previous books. But with that blurb I have to say… I was a bit – okay, a lot – wary. Would you want to get to know your boyfriend because you’re hearing him banging another Barbie almost through the wall every other night? Womanizer, playboy – I love ‘em all – still, this concept just screams wrong and so far I’d successfully avoided this trope…until Ms. Bennett came along – and passing up one of the Cold Fury men just is not possible. So, yes, despite myself, I had to smile at their meeting and every jab from Josie in-between. But it took me quite a few chapters to be able to go along with it and just enjoy their banter, their friendship, their chemistry.

Reed Olson is so different from his teammate Van. More different is nearly impossible. Where Van is dark and broody and moody and closed-off, Reed is laid-back, smiley, flirty and just happy-go-lucky.
And Josie… she has so much to offer. She is sweet and kind, and smart… it’s why Reed is drawn to her like he’s never been drawn to a woman before – but it’s also why he doubts their whole ordeal…

The conflict in this story is – compared to other stories of this series – very low on angst and rather short-lived. These two are mature and sort out everything rather quickly. Really, the easy and natural way a solid friendship – even with such a strange short – forms into something much deeper was great to watch.

REED is a sweet feel-good friends to lovers romance – with a mouthwatering insight into the next story. The rough context might be nothing new within this series, but it is sure as hell going to get pretty interesting with Marek’s story! I can’t wait!!

Reed is the tenth title in the Cold Fury Hockey series, and although it's not my favourite its still a really entertaining read. This is a story of opposites attract, with a side of friends to lovers.

Reed Olson and Josie Ives are like night and day. She's a dedicated, hard working ER doctor an academic and kind of nerdy whilst he's in the NHL, and a player on and off the ice, and has a very distinct type, the blond brainless kind, with a double DD bust size.

I loved the circumstances in which these two meet. Josie is funny, smart, strong and not afraid to say what she thinks. Reed was a surprising character with a vulnerability I didn't expect, and despite his womaniser ways he's actually incredibly kind, easy going, playful, sweet and fun.

Although this is part of a sports romance series, there is pretty much no hockey in this title.

The connection and chemistry between this pair is intensely passionate and will burn up your kindle. I adored their fun, flirty and often witty banter, and the fact that we get to see several previous characters from the series make cameo appearances.

Sawyer Bennett leads you on a trail of breadcrumbs throughout this title in Marek's direction as being the next player of the Cold Fury to find his happy ever after.

What really won me over with this pair was their open, honest communication, the lack of unnecessary drama and angst. They are just a really like-able, endearing pair of character with big giving hearts and I was enthralled with their story.

REVIEW: 4 STARS
"I'm seeing Josie through unfiltered eyes and I like everything that I'm seeing."

I don't pretend to NOT be a Sawyer Bennett fan. I have read all of her books. I have loved them all. She is just that author for me. In general, she is an easy getaway; a guaranteed good read for me each time. You can go into this review with that knowledge, but please understand.....her words are worthy and I am speaking from the heart when I say this was such a good read. I enjoyed this one very much!

For being the tenth book in a series about Hockey Players, you would think this machoism would be boring by now, right? Played out, easily, right?! Well....no. Not this time. For my favorite sports series, Sawyer Bennett has made each book individually captivating, yet perfectly suited for an ongoing series. I love this series. Love it. So it's no secret that this book will leave me smiling in my review. One thing I want to point out is the ease in which she transitions from friends to lovers; it was effortless. I couldn't help but smile the entire time I was reading this story, all while they were letting their guard down and falling for each other. I loved this part of it!

This one was a little sweeter, a little softer hitting than the others, though. But, don't get me wrong. Reed was ALL man and divinely sexy, but I loved that his insecurities were actually recognized and REAL. Was he a manwhore? Well, yes....he's a freaking hockey player that just won his second championship. Did we see these man-whorish ways....again, yes. We have to set up the story, right? But, a rehab’d playboy? Sounds cliché, doesn’t it? Well, leave it it SB to make this story a little more in depth; a little deeper when it comes to the heart! Because she did one helluva job on it too. I loved seeing this change in him; his own realizations that she is worth more than just a one night stand. I cannot tell you how much I loved reading that side to his story.

How do you change your image from playboy to a worthy man in a relationship? How do you convince her she's the one to change you? When it's so cliché, how exactly do you convince her? I realize this trope can be cliché, but the way Sawyer Bennett endears us to her characters, it sure makes it easier. Basically, when she makes her characters so relatable and makes us fall in love with the real man that they are, not just the outward appearances he chooses to share publicly, but the real him, we fall in love harder, faster, and deeper. Pun intended?

Ahem....and the setup for Marek's story was ON POINT!!! Make sure to add this one to your TBR or PREORDER it.

"No particular cadence. no metaphorical rhyme or physical reason why it feels so good. It's just. . . love."
