I loved the storyline of this book. It seems that the author took the time to research about the civil war, overall this is a ☆☆☆☆☆ . I highly recommend this book. Thanks to Netgalley, for free advance copy. My opinion is my own.
I was grateful to receive a free copy of Impending Love and Capture, in exchange for an honest review.
I really likes the storyline and I fell in love with Jessica and Morgan. There were a few parts that detracted from the story including too much discussion about war and tactics. I also found it hard to believe that Jessica and Morgan kept "running" into each other during the war.
Overall, I enjoyed Jessica and Morgan's story and would recommend this book to friends and family.
Jessica is stopped on the battle field to help Morgan's sister but learns more knowledge that could place the Confederate cause in jeopardy. These two must overcome their differences to find their love in spite of the battles going on around them. Really enjoyed this tale and characters. Part of the Impending Love series and will be looking up the rest.
Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
This is another book in the Impending Love series. As I enjoy reading about the Civil War this was refreshing to read in the sense the author obviously did her research to make this as realistic as possible.

This was a saga of love conquering all when all things conspire to prevent it. Jessica Beecher was the daughter of a doctor from Ohio. She had been assisting in caring for the soldiers fighting in the Civil War. She helped both Union and Confederate soldiers. She had seen too many good men die horribly and wanted it to stop. In a trip to deliver supplies to the Ohio group of Union soldiers near Gettysburg, she was kidnapped by Major Morgan Mackinnon. His sister had been shot and needed help to save her life. In the time that Jess spent in Morgan's company before she was released, she began to develop feelings for this Scottish warrior. She was first his prisoner and then his nurse, and finally his wife. He had a big heart and showed her how much he cared for her and that he was an honorable man but was it ever going to be possible for the two of them to be tougher. They were from opposite sides of this horrible war. You'll have to read the story to see for yourself how love can provide a way when you persevere and never give up.
The only sex in this story was behind closed doors and not descriptive or uncomfortable to read.
I was given an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
