I requested this book through NetGalley for the perspective it could provide. There are so many circumstances in which the method provided by the author is so much more preferable than many commonly recommended training techniques. I did find that there was some “fluff” in the book and sometimes had to put it down because of that. This book is really interesting to read through the procedures that are part of Constructional Aggression Treatment (CAT). I may recommend it to some animal behaviorist and trainer friends to get their perspectives and how they may utilize these techniques in their own practices.

I hope that I never need the techniques in this book, but it is interesting how behaviors can be changed with love and effort. Kudos to saving the lives of dogs by sharing these methods for reducing aggression!
