This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both heroes and the heroine. Hold Me Harder was a good erotic romance. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.
This was a good story about a woman being confronted with her lifestyle. She tried to leave it all behind but she was subconsciously missing it. She reconnects with her lifestyle and her ex finds out and he is intrigued. I would have like more of a story but as an intro it was good. I hope there will be a few more books.
I am giving this a 3.5 star rating. This is the story of Natalie Lindgren. She was to spend the weekend celebrating her sister's wedding. However, this turned out to be a weekend in the presence of two of her ex-lovers, Javier and Ryan.
Natalie was split within herself. She wanted to be a professional, the person who is in control of herself and her career. However, she has a submissive side, which Javier was the first to tap into that desire. She left Javier when she could no longer find the balance between who she wanted to be: the alpha professional, to whom others looked for guidance and leadership, and the sexual submissive. "She wanted to find her own way and not appear to be weak." She left Ryan because he crossed a line she never told him existed. He pushed her boundaries without asking. She panicked when his sexual tastes started to remind her of Javier. She loved their relationship. It was adventurous and they connected well.
The men were hot. I liked how dominant Javier was. He knew who he was and was willing to push Natalie to her limits. He sounded like sex on a stick. Ryan was hot as well. He was willing to chase her. She had the best of both worlds. Two men willing to satisfy her every dream.
I was wishing this did not turn into a threesome. I wanted more angst in Natalie choosing who she wanted to be with. I thought it was going in a direction to make her choose since Javier proposed an arrangement where he would mentor Ryan. I did not get the idea of Javier wanting more until the author wrote one sentence stating that.
I really liked the story. It was an extremely quick read. Sexy men. A nice, strong female character. I'm all for that.
Natalie is doing some serious soul searching. She's to see her old, first, Dom,Javier, again, and she's not sure how she'll react. And then there's her ex, Ryan, who will be at her sister's wedding, too. What's a girl to do when faced with the man who instructed her in all things submission, AND the man whom she left when their bedroom games came a little too close to the lifestyle she walked away from?
I was seriously let down by Hold Me Harder. I was expecting a really hot, well-balanced ménage between these three, but what I got was a rushed and incomplete story that felt more like a part of an already established series or serial. I never felt the connection or the chemistry between the three to be very strong, and because of the short length, their relationship was never given time to develop organically and naturally. Being that this is supposed to be a ménage, the one ménage scene was very short on steam. All in all, a very big disappointment in not only the emotional component (what little there was) aspect and the physical aspect.
Renee rocks again! Loved this book and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends
Natalie is stuck between a rock and hard place...or should I say Javier and Ryan. Will Natalie pick Javier or Ryan...or both? Read and find out!
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book
This is the first book that I have read by Renee Dominick and it was pretty good. The back and forth...ups and downs of her decisions are very interesting. I felt the book should have been just a little bit longer.
There are a few somewhat hot sex scenes between Natalie, Javier and Ryan. There seems to be more to the story, but not enough in this novella. It seems that because it was so short, a lot of the backstory and romance needs to be cut. While there was sex, it was explicit to an extent, but it was just meh. It jumped around a little bit and I realize it is fiction, but Natalie started to get a little annoying about what she wanted. I mean, if it's a BDSM story...then tie her up! The story was too short for the characters to build trust within their relationship and I would just have a hard time telling someone to buy this novella.
Sweet and sexy and so hot. A definite must read. A real page turner I could not put it down!
This one was just OK. It certainly serves it's purpose, but the story is a little lacking.
Another story that had so much potential that was cut short because the author decided to write a novella instead of a full length book.
Starting this story, I felt like I was reading the second book in a series rather than a stand alone novella. I wanted so badly to read more about what happened at the ranch over the last few years between Natalie and Javier. Not enough time was spent on what they were to each and how they got to the point where they are now.
The same could be said about Natalie and Ryan; we never get a clear picture of what their relationship was like or even what their break up even looked like.
Then the three finally come together and again this could have been so much more. I would have loved to read about more than one encounter between them. How do they make it work especially with Javier living on the ranch still? Does jealousy become an issue for Javier since he sees Natalie so much less? Are they strictly a MFM threesome or does it become more of a MMF threesome as the three become closer? How does this work long term?
So many questions left unanswered...
Natalie is a successful business woman. She is maid of honor at her sister's wedding, taking place at a luxury guest ranch. Unfortunately, she is going to be in the company of both of her former ex's, Javier-who owns the ranch, and Ryan-who is the best man. Natalie's anxiety is through the roof! Hoping to have some time to herself and gather her wits before seeing Javier, that theory is crushed when he accompanies her to her room. She had left him and her submissive lifestyle behind. She has not acted on her craving for submission until Ryan veered a bit to close to her former lifestyle. She panicked and left him. Now seeing Javier brought back the old feelings and she quickly fell right back into her old ways. Ryan seems to want that side of her too, and Natalie is having an hard time reconciling her feelings about it. The men give her a proposal she was unprepared for.
This is a quick novella exploring submissiveness. I wanted to like it more than I actually did. I really wanted to know more about all the characters and their relationships prior to this weekend. I was left connecting the dots, but not really having all the pieces to connect. Things were eluded to, but never given. I would have liked some flash back scenes so the reader could have gotten a better handle on the situations that lead up to today. Some more BDSM scenes for sure. I looked to see if this was a continuation of a series because as a standalone, it could have been expanded and given more depth. I was looking for more details of Natalie and Javier's prior relationship, Natalie and Ryan's event that caused their break up, and the exploring of their menage relationship as it continues.
I did like the book and it is a very hot read! I just wanted more, more, more!

I was gifted a copy of the book and chose to leave a voluntary review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions.
This was short, sweet and hot. I loved the way they all meshed together. Javier was the ever present dominant through and through. He didn't really turn it off. Ryan was the half and half dom. He can turn it off when he needs to. Natalie is a submissive who didn't want to acknowledge it because she thought it made her weak. She enjoys not having control of her sex life because she has such hard and stressful job. She was awesome. The three of them together were awesome, but I preferred her with Javier instead of Ryan. Great read.
Too rushed and felt like pieces were missing. I've read novellas that are shorter that were written as though they were full length novels. I feel like this could be a great story if it was longer. Too much past that wasn't touched on made it confusing. I think turned into a full novel this would be much more satisfying.

4.5- This was a super fast read that took me on the journey of discovery. Natalie finds herself craving the feel of the touch of a very dominant and assertive man, she is once again craving submission. What happens when she meets someone that fulfills all her needs but he shouldn't? This was a book that I enjoyed reading and experiencing. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it honestly.
Review:
Renee Dominick’s Hold Me Harder is a short, yet super sexy romance about Natalie, her one-time Dom Javier and her ex-boyfriend Ryan. The three are thrown together at Javier’s ranch when Natalie and Ryan arrive there for Natalie’s sister’s wedding (Ryan is a wedding guest as well). Things heat up quickly between Natalie and Javier. Natalie misses Javier and being his submissive - even though she left him because she couldn’t reconcile her submissive proclivities in her personal life with her dominant ones in her professional life. Eventually, she found and fell in love with Ryan, right up until he tried to introduce some kink into their sex life. Natalie ran scared.
However, at the ranch, Natalie can’t escape Javier, Ryan or her feelings. Javier calls to the urges that Natalie has denied for so long. But Javier is more than aware that Natalie still has feelings for Ryan and vice versa. Javier also senses that Ryan is a fellow dominant and wants to help pave the way for Natalie to accept her submissive tendencies and allow Ryan back into her life. Javier and Natalie are super hot together, but all three of them??? Scorching!
This story is hot, dirty, kinky and sexy. The ending has a HFN (happy for now) feeling to it rather than an HEA (happily ever after), mostly because of the short length. My only complaint about this story is that I did wish it was longer. I felt that the dynamics of this m/f/m menage could have used more time to develop fully. I look forward to more from this author though!
This is actually a short story rather than a full novel. This was a very quick read and it had some aspects of a threesome, with a Dom and Sub relationship. I've never even thought about the possibility of having two Doms. Anyway, this was a fun read, it had a rustic feel to it since it's set in a sort of barn estate? Along with horses, and rocks, and grass, and the smell of nature. I wonder if the author has any plans of making this a full length novel. I think I'd be in to it, I want to know how long their agreement could stand without Natalie falling harder than the other man.

PR exec Natalie is all business but has a craving for sexual submission. She left her Dom two years ago but now she is back at his ranch for her sister’s wedding. Can she stay away from temptation for the weekend? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of great characters and plenty of steam. Just wish it was longer. A good read.
when natalie lindgren returns to the ranch her family used to spend summer vacations on in hold me harder, she's not just revisiting old childhood haunts. she's reencountering the one man who she has fully submitted to,javier, the man she turned her back on because she believes that her need to submit makes her weak.
to make things more complicated the man she fell in love with after javier is also part of the wedding party that brings her back to the ranch. ryan is another man she's run from for the same reason, his desire that she submit has her running scared.
but coming to the ranch is like coming home. and natalie learns that in order to be her true self, in order to be truly happy she can't keep denying the part of her that needs to submit. with javier and ryan guiding her and working together there's a chance that she can have it all. as long as she realizes that there is strength in submission. that all these two men want most in the world is to give her pleasure.
**hold me harder will publish on december 11, 2017. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (scorched) in exchange for my honest review.
Hold Me Harder by Renee Dominick
Quick read novella length story focusing on a woman coming to terms with whether or not she is truly a submissive. When Natalie returns to the ranch she spent time on in the past she runs into Javier, the Dom who taught her to be a submissive, and they pick up pretty much where they must have left off just before she left him. We find out that she also broke up with Ryan, a boyfriend that made her run when their bedroom play began to make her question what she really wanted in a relationship. There is plenty of steam and discussion of what if but as far as the ménage aspect or MFM action…more reference to than description of activities takes place. At the end I was left wondering just what the threesome would get up to when Javier visits Ryan and Natalie in the city and though the three did have a night together not much was said about what took place. It was an okay read and perhaps a good introduction to the genre but a bit tame compared to other books of this nature that I have read.
Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC – This is my honest review.
