This is part one in a trilogy and should be read first. The books are historical romance/adventure stories and very light. Henry decides to join some friends on a year long sailing expedition to avoid being forced into marriage. While at sea there is a storm and he finds himself stranded on an island. The island is home to Elaine who has been shipwrecked there for years. Together they fight and fall in love. The island is also home to a pirate's treasure and when he lands on the island to claim his treasure danger follows. The book is a quick read and has some exciting parts but there is really no depth to the characters or plot. A lot of the story is pretty predictable. The story does end on a cliffhanger. Enjoy it for a quick read and escape.
