Having enjoyed the previous books in this series about Bishop Henry Lapp, I so enjoyed "Who the Bishop Knows", an opportunity to become reacquainted with Bishop Lapp, his betrothed, Emma, and her family, as well as others in their community in Colorado. When a tragic death happens at the nearby annual rodeo, police and nearby citizens hope Bishop Henry can recreate the events using his gift of near photographic memory to draw what occurred. When they realize he is not able to use his gift this time, solving the death of young Amish man Jeremiah becomes more challenging- and critical to the safety of others. Bishop Henry does his best to help the local police,, while drawing support from Emma and her family. This is unusual in Amish communities, to be closely involved with the police, but this is kind of an atypical Amish community, being set in the Colorado mountains.
I highly recommend this newest book by Vannetta Chapman.to other fans of the Amish genre

A perfect ending to a great series.

In book 3 of The Amish Bishop Mystery series, a young Amish boy is murdered during the rodeo. Bishop Henry is attending the rodeo with his fiancé and family and was outside the grandstands when the murder occurred so he did not see it take place. As he works with Sheriff Grayson he learns the deceased and many of the Amish youth were involved in betting. A huge no-no for the Amish. Will Henry still be able to use his drawing talent to help solve the crime? Can the murder be solved before more murders occur? Jon Henry and his community in this final installment to find out.

Each book in the series can be read as a stand alone but you get the maximum effect if you read in order.
Book One: What the Bishop Saw
Book Two: When the Bishop Needs an Alibi
Book Three: Who the Bishop Knows

Each book will keep you awake past your bedtime. You will be saying “just one more chapter” repeatedly. I cannot pick a favorite.

In Who the Bishop Knows you will get answers to many questions and many romances are finalized. I will miss my time with Lexi, Bishop Henry’s dog and Katie Ann. I am longing to visit the Monte Vista community.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harvest House Publishers for an advanced copy to read and review based on my own thoughts and opinions.

The final book in the Amish Bishop Mysteries "Who the Bishop Knows" is my favorite in the series. All the books were good but this one held my attention more than the first two. I stayed up way too late in order to finish it.

This book started off with someone getting murdered. The murderer knows that Henry has these drawing skills and is threatened by Henry's ability even though Henry really did not see anything that could be beneficial to the investigation.

This book involved the youngies (Amish youth) getting involved in the investigation. I had no idea who the murderer was until it was revealed. I had a tiny inkling when Bishop Henry and Emma revealed their suspicions but was not sure.

I am sorry to see this series end but am pretty sure the author has another excellent series in the works.

Who the Bishop Knows by Harvest House is due to be released on March 6, 2018. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a digital copy of this book to read and review.

You will enjoy this murder mystery set in Colorado! Bishop Henry Lapp, known for his photographic memory along with his artistic ability attends a rodeo and one of his Amish youth, Jeremiah, is killed by an unknown assailant!
Henry is purchasing food while the event happens, so he and his fiancée Emma try to help the sheriff by talking to Jeremiah’s friends. Soon after this Emma’s neighbors are run off of the road and a threatening warning is painted on Henry’s buggy.
It is discovered that Jeremiah was chosen to audition for an Amish TV program in California, and some of the unchosen contestants are not happy about this, but Jeremiah was also involved in other risky ventures.
You will have to read this book for yourself to find out who killed Jeremiah and why!

Another good murder/mystery set in the Amish community. Henry and Emma are once again thrown in the middle of a murder when young Jeremiah is shot and killed at the local rodeo. An excellent addition to the series, and a hard one to put down. A lot of side stories which add to the complexity, and kept me going for awhile on who the murderer was. Highly recommend this series, book and author.

WHO THE BISHOP KNOWS by Vannetta Chapman. "The Amish Bishop Mysteries " book 3
Having read and loved the first two in this series, looking forward to this one. Local amature event, a shot fired, a boy 19 laid on the grounds. Henry goes to be with the grandmother, it was her grandson. Emma, if she was to be a bishop wife, was needed, also. Henry had a gift, a blessing he see's now, to draw what he can't remember. They contained the people but, no one recalls anything. Jeremiah had a phone, a world, unknown to the Amish, what would that reveal. He was leaving to go where, did Katie Ann have any idea, and now the girls were missing. A good plot, of how an event effects a community. They come together to help and heal. Readers will love this story as well as the series. All of Vannetta books are good, and looking for the next new series. Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
