I didn't read the first book in the series, so I was a little lost sometimes, but Shiloh does a brilliant job of keeping the story clear enough that I don't feel like I've been dropped in the middle of the ocean without a lifevest. The story hit a little close to home for me since I'm a survivor of domestic violence like Hope, but Shiloh has a way of handling delicate situations in her books that don't make me sob in the corner for hours. I love her words and can't wait to read more.
