I have to say that I always enjoy Jennifer Ashley. Sometimes one more then the others. This is one of those cases.

I just loved this book. You won't be able to not love both Angus, his son and Tamsin. These three are a hoot! They cracked me up throughout the story. They are one of my favorite families in this series. You could feel their love for each other jump off the pages of the book.

From page on you will feel like this book runs to the ending, that's how fast it moves. It felt like I started it and finished it in seconds. And believe me when I say I can't read that fast no matter what I would like to believe.

Like I mentioned you'll the characters of this book, present and past characters. You will be drawn into the plot of this story and need to know how it turns out. I know more then once I worried it would turn out good even with knowing that it's a romance and they always turn out good.

This is a wonderful story with so many emotions running through it. I will say it again, I just loved it. I can't tell you how glad I am to have read it. I will tell you that I guess this could stand on it's own but I wouldn't read it first if you haven't yet read this series. I would start at the beginning and read them in order. It's better with you get to know the characters. They help make the next books they are in even better, like Tiger, Zander and Ben to name a few. The whole series is really worth your time.

Book 11 in the Shifter Unbound series, MIDNIGHT WOLF tells the story of Angus, who was introduced in RED WOLF, and Tamsin, a shifter of a different sort. As a Fox shifter, a kind largely unknown in the shifter world, Tamsin has some interesting talents as well as being a fun and challenging potential mate for Angus’s growly wolf self. He is coerced into going after Tamsin by a Shifter Bureau agent holding someone precious to him which forces Angus into a difficult situation. The wily fox that is Tamsin leads him on a merry chase. Once it becomes clear he is not going to give her up, they start a great adventure while living on the run. Ben, Zander, and Tiger also show up to help out which always adds to the enjoyment. There are some very interesting things revealed about Tamsin’s heritage that may add to a future paradigm shift in not only the coming war with the fae, but the circumscribed life collared shifters lead while under the government’s very restrictive thumb.

This book focuses mostly on Angus and Tamsin's developing relationship. Despite Angus and Tamsin’s difficult circumstances, Tamsin’s joyful and fun loving approach to life gives this story a happier tone. Shifters live a particularly harsh life already trying to balance their natures with the extreme limitations placed on them by the government including the control collars most of them are forced to wear. Tamsin reminds Angus happiness is to be found in even the darkest places.

This far into the series, Ms. Ashley keeps it interesting by adding the new elements while intermixing folks from the previous books. It looks like the next book will be Ben’s, the lonely not-fae, otherworldly man who has seen much loss and heartache. The shifters have sort of adopted him as he has helped them battle their enemies, both human and fae. Readers of the series will enjoy Angus, Tamsin, and their shifter allies.

Midnight Wolf a fast-paced an exciting ride of cat and mouse.

Midnight Wolf, written by Jennifer Ashley and published under the Berkley Publishing Group brand, was and is an enjoyable read from start to finish. The 11th book in the Shifter Unbound series, won’t disappoint when it comes to romance and second chance at love. Though this would be my first book in this series, I in no way found myself lost in the telling of this story.

In Midnight Wolf, Angus a bouncer at club never expected to be approached or forced to help the Shifter Bureau capture one of his own kind. But forced he was, by the taking of his son Ciaran. Angus must bring in the shifter that has eluded capture up tell now or never see his son again.

The interaction between the two main character was very pleasurable to see in action, that when this reviewer turned the last page it left me wanting more.

It would be my pleasure to start this series from the beginning. I most certainly would recommend this story to any reader whose enjoy their Paranormal Romance to be fun and wild.

Big, quiet shifters with hearts of gold are my thang, man. I like 'em. I like watching them let people in. Especially that special someone. Angus certainly fits the big, silent part of the equation. Whereas Tamsin is neither big nor quiet.

But she fits with him. Actually, she fits with both him and his son. The fact that she has a connection to Angus's family complicates things. Because EVERYONE seems to want to know what she knows and that makes her a dangerous person to be around.

(Although, she also has a few skills that make her dangerous to be around without the rest of the stuff being thrown in. Wait. Dangerous might be the wrong word. Let's juts say she's not like other shifters and leave it at that.)

We got shifter politics, shifter lovin', and face time with some old favorites. Good times, man. Good times.

This book was so much fun to read and that was due to Tamsin. She had such a zeal for life, mostly due to living life on the run and forced into living in the now. I liked Angus, but he was a bit of a stick in the mud, looking for safety and stability, so you can imagine how these two clashed at the start. Their battles were fun, each of them coming out on top at different times. It was once they both were on the same page that things really started to pick up.

I was glad that Tamsin kept her secret until she really felt safe with Angus, that way it didn't put either of them in a bad light. In the mean time they, along with Angus's cub, go to live life as a family, something they all needed. It was great to see them bond! The place that they found to hide was perfect, giving them some new friends.

It was close at the end, with them almost being caught when an old ally showed up. What was most interesting in this person is the info that was revealed to Tamsin about her heritage.

I loved how this one ended, loved that we got our mating ceremony and that Tamsin found the home she had always been looking for!

Midnight Wolf (Shifters Unbound, #11) by Jennifer Ashley.....I love this series ...this is the 11th book and I still want more. Angus (wolf shifter) is a single father..his mate left him for his brother who was up to no good... he got his cub back and his brother an ex mate were caught and killed. Ciaran is his son and he will do anything to keep him safe. He is forced to track and capture Tamsin (fox shifter) and turn her in. This is their story and journey.. I was lucky to preview this book on #NetGalley and was happy to share their lives for a while. There are laughs and tears getting them to their HEA. Looking forward to #12.

This was a fun read. Angus and Tamsin, the two main characters are imperfect and interesting; I really liked the twist on Tamsin's shifter identity as a fox. Angus is so gruff and easily embarrassed by any kind of feeling/emotion, and Tamsin is such a force of nature, particularly when she's cornered. I loved her blithe feistiness. I really like that they start off on opposing sides in the beginning, with completely differing agendas. And of course Angus' cub is adorable. Nothing too heavy here, but all in all a fun, sexy read.

*I received a review copy from the publisher/author via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.*

This is my first Jennifer Ashley Shifter book but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The interaction between Tamsin and Angus was very fun to watch. There is much more to the book than what’s in the synopsis. I was pleasantly surprised. I look forward to starting from the beginning of the series.

Angus was a wolf shifter and lived in Shifter Town in New Orleans. He was a bouncer in a shifter groupie bar. The rule was no violence humans and Angus enforced this rule so the shifter wouldn’t be arrested and executed. Angus had a cub named Ciaran, who was Angus;’s world. A man in a suit was in the bar and he told Angus he had a job for him to do. The man was clearly from the Shifter Bureau- only someone from the bureau would come into the bar and order people around. Angus followed the suit for two reasons- his shift was was about over and the second reason is Angus feared if he didn’t make a show of respect to the Shifter Board Agent they would use his son as leverage. Ciaran was all Angus had. Ciaran mom was dead but it didn’t matter as the one love is his life was his son. The agent was Jayson Hayley - special operations and they were recruiting Angus because he was a good tracker. And they needed to track a pretty evasive target Then Jayson showed Angus a couple of pictures of a non collared shifter named Tamsin Calloway who was on the run nd needed to be brought in. Then Jaysen through in the woman had known his brother. Gavin had been Angus’s older brother and had been killed when he tried to break shifters out of captivity. He had been the leader of a cover group who tried first to negotiate with the Shifter Bureau and the governments of various countries to free shifters and then he had turned violent. Angus hadn’t seen Gavin since they had a fight about Angus joining him. They parted in fury and to top it off Angus’s mate April had taken Ciaran and joined Angus refused to the assignment but then Jatsen said Ciaran was no longer home they had him and as soon as Angus bought Tamsin in he would get his son back. Angus knew they could take Ciaran and give him to a foster shifter family that lived far away and Angus would be refused to ever see CIaran again. Angus knew the agent wasn’t telling him everything. Angus followed a lead and found Tamsin in an old plantation house that had card games. Tamsin had just won a big hand and one of the seven human men she was playing cards eith called her a cheater. Tamsin had noticed Angus and jumped out a window and headed to the swamp. But Tamsin hadn’t had time to really know the area Angus was right behind her but Tamsin found the road but then ran into three of the human card players and one was the angry one that called her a cheater he started on her and soon Tamsin knew they planned on raping her before Tamsin could even shift Angus was there and gave her the chance to get away. When angus was again chasing her through the bayou he hears a scream and the he finds agator has an appendage of Tamsin in his mouth and she just looked like a bundle of fur. It turns out Tamsin was a fox shifter that wasn’t even known was a shifter species. Angus was able to grab Tamsin on the run but she was gravely hurt. Her arm was mauled and bitten to the bone. Angus took her to his car but didn’t take her to the bureau he took her to a big old plantation house he said a friend owned and she occasionally had him check on her property. Angus put cuffs on her bit Tamsin got out of them. Hfters that were collared got zapped if they got to angry or got violent. Angus had set it uo for a healer -Zander to heal her and save her arm. Ben/Gil was also there who Angus had been talking on the phone to about Zander coming to help Tamsin. Tamsin kept trying to escape but the house seemed to be stopping her. Angus does bring Tamsin in bit turned around and help her to escape. Angus find out the bureau wanted Tamsin because she had seen a brutal murder by the Shifter Bureau.
I liked this book quite a bit but what took my rating down a point was the shifters being collared and how they were treated like taking Ciaran away. To get Angus to do what the Shifter Bureau wanted him to. Was just wrong. And took a lot of the enjoyment of this book for me. I did love the haunted house in this book. I advise you read this series in order so everything flows for you and you know all the characters from the previous books. I like how Tamsin and Angus interacted. I loved that Zander, Ben/Gil. Dimitri, and Tiger were all willing to help Angis but also Tamsin. I chuckled at times and choked up at times while reading this book. I loved the characters and the twists and turns in this book and I recommend. .

To be honest, I did not finish this book. Not because it wasn't well-written, but I just did not feel grabbed by the storyline. I think it may be personal reader preference, I just might not be the best audience for this particular title.

I quite enjoyed this story, Angus Tamsin and Cicdian grew on my greatly and I was very excited to see if everything worked out. Tamsin is a rare fox shifter on the run from the police of the shifter world and Angus was blackmailed into tracking Tamsin even though he wants nothing to do with any of it. Along the way though he catchs more than just Tamsin he catchs feelings too ;)

I truly loved Tamsin she's feisty and fearless Angus is a alpha wolf who has a heart of gold his teenage son cicdian is a doll! He's tough and smart and a perfect balance of sweet and badass. The side characters I loved, I want to read Bens story, there's things that makes me believe I'll get one. Tiger I'm curious of him.

Cons.... this is one LONG book! Some parts bored me and felt like they could have been excluded and the story still would have been good. I felt there was a lot going on at one time. But I did enjoy this story and will look up the other books and hopefully see characters stories played out in other books. One more thing.....Angus.... really.. that is not a sexy wolf name... I struggled with this....

I'm a big fan of the Shifter Unbound series and was excited to read Midnight Wolf. I was not disappointed. Angus meets Tamsin when he's sent to bring her in for questioning. I love how he is a growly wolf to the world but soft-hearted. He is shocked when he finds out Tamsin is a fox as no one knew shifter foxes existed. Even though Angus has to bring her in he also helps her escape. I love how their relationship grows as they learn more about each other. Trust comes slowly but they know they belong together. Family and trustworthy friends played a big role. Having other characters from the series make an appearance was like welcoming old friends, especially the magic house! I wondered from the beginning how Ms. Ashley was going to work this out and I was delighted with the ending.

Full review to be published online in late April.

MIDNIGHT WOLF is the latest installment in the “Shifters Unbound” series. This time around, we have the big black wolf Angus who is sent to hunt down Tamsin, a little fox. Both of them live in a world where Shifters are collared as dangerous; and moved to live on designated lands like reservations, called Shiftertowns. But, the shifters govern themselves there. They live and work there or in with regular society, humans; but in a much more limited capacity. Shifters are very much second class citizens in this world created by Jennifer Ashley.

After the fox falls prey to the wolf, both of their lives are turned upside down. Interesting and powerful friends are made and called upon along the way. It's an exciting journey, and a great addition to Jennifer Ashley’s always fun “Shifters Unbound” series. As always, there are enjoyable interactions with favorite characters from previous books.
