Tremontaine chapters are always amazing and this one is no exception. I love the characters and world building and of course the chocolate.

HELL YEAH REZA BACKSTORY! Hearing how he came to the Land made my heart sing, of course (when it wasn't breaking for him), but I think I'm even more excited about the developments with the school. Now the Riversiders are involved, it's possible to draw a direct line from Rafe's work to what Alec does in THE PRIVILEGE OF THE SWORD, as well as Basil's academic reformation in THE FALL OF THE KINGS.

Prequels are so much fun on that level.

A Blur of Bright Water (Tremontaine #3.10)
by Tessa Gratton
The amazing aspect of this Mosaic novel is that you can miss episodes and still follow the storyline. The aspect of looking at the characters attempting to cope with the cliffhangers from the last season. You find the beauty of characters and this world in every story. The personal struggles of the characters is addictive.

The most poetic chapter of the series, the ties to the plots and schemes of the heroes just stands out. I love the use of past reflection and hint of future steps, this is the most intriguing of the chapters, and brings more of the backstory of the characters to light. Although it does grab you by the throat a couple of times when a beloved character may be at risk.
