Perhaps I have read too many parenting books, but I had a hard time finishing this one. I didn't really feel that it offered anything new, and it felt really dry and somewhat tedious. There are little exercises to do and questions to ask yourself, which I'm not really a fan of but others might enjoy. It's very clinical and ultimately wasn't one that I would recommend to my readers.
This a solid resource for teachers and parents. As I read the text, I reflected on so many personal and professional experiences. This is wonderful addition to my school counseling library.

This is a useful book for parents and anyone working with children such as teachers. I know there is no manual for parenting but this book can help.
Thank you to NetGalley, Wendy L. Moss, Donald A. Moses and the APA for allowing me to read an ARC of Raising Independent, Self-Confident Kids. As a parent, I found this book enlightening and it offered me great tips and tricks to add to my parenting repertoire.
