The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby is the second book in the Winning the Billionaire series. This is the first book I have read by the author but I had no problems reading it as a stand-alone. It was easy to read, straightforward, and a fast read. The characters were likable. In fact, my heart ached for Brooks and the situation he was in. He loved Leah and Olivia but Marcus, his nemesis, being Olivia’s father had to be tough. I was so glad in the end they were able to work it out.
This was a quick read with wit throughout and I loved it. It is a great beach read.
Many thanks to Entangled and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
Leah is at her goddaughters christening and she has morning sickness. What she doesn't expect is Brooks to be attracted to her and be OK with her predicament. Leah is going to work at a Catholic School and while talking to Brooks a nun overhears their conversation who threatens to fire her. Brooks as a fix tells the nun that he and Leah are engaged to be married.
Brooks doesn't think he is ready for marriage, children, and the domestic lifestyle. However, when Leah moves in and they start spending time together and get to know one another, he realizes his life is much fuller with her there. He thinks that because he has always taken things lightly and tried to have as much fun as possible that he would make a terrible husband and father, only with Leah ... he doesn't. Everything is going great until he finds out who the father is ... his college competitor. This adds major drama into his and Leah's relationship.
I was really surprised how easily Brooks accepted the idea of the baby and Leah into his life. It seemed like these two went from 0 to 100 immediately. What I found kind of annoying is her feeling of obligation to search out the father of her baby. When he is found he causes drama, promises he's going to be around and still leaves for the majority of the time anyway. I think with the love that Brooks feels for both the baby and Leah he makes a far better father decision than the actual father. I still gave it 4 stars because of the chemistry and fun the main characters have. I mean how cute is Brooks with Cole's baby daughter? These two characters kept working on their relationship and realized they could get through the troubles they have together.

Wow, such an amazing love story. Both MCs were smitten with each other from the beginning. The storyline was well written and an #HEA that seemed plausible. It made me think of Seal and Heidi Klum. Brookes is definitely the type of book boyfriend every girl dreams about. I like that Leah never lost herself in the money.
I totally enjoyed reading The Billionaire's Unexpected Baby by Kira Archer, book two in her Winning the Billionaire series. Brooks Larson is well-known as the good time guy, the life and soul of the party, not the person one were go to if they were looking for someone to take responsibility; at least that’s how he and many others see him. Despite this outward appearance, he is more than willing to step up and support mom-to-be Leah Andrews. Leah is normally a rule follower, one who doesn’t take chances but the consequence of her only one-night stand is the baby she’s now expecting. She has a new job she’s about to start at a convent school but when they discover she’s pregnant she’s not sure what will happen next. When she is in danger of losing her new job at a Catholic school, due to her unwed state, Brooks speaks up for her. The result is a temporary marriage. Now their friends are wondering and taking bets if these two will stay together long until for the baby is born.
I loved Brooks and his fun, carefree ways; although it was obvious from the beginning that he wanted Leah. He never believed he was worth all the good things life has to offer. Leah might be sweet but she was strong and independent; not wanting to need anyone’s help. She did want the baby’s father to know about the pregnancy and tried to make that happen. Unfortunately, there is bad history between the two men in Leah’s life and they must now make a decision on what is best for the baby.
I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting it down. Ms. Archer wove a wonderful story full of laughs, jokes, sizzling chemistry, and love, drawing me in and not letting go until I read the last page. I highly recommend The Billionaire's Unexpected Baby to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

The Billionaire's Unexpected Baby is a cute romance standalone. It's a quick read, that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside after finishing it. It's a feel good novel that ends with a HEA. It's about a happy-go-lucky businessman and a preganant catholic school teacher. While the premise sounds rather far-fetched, the story does tie up very nicely.
Leah, the heroine, is pregnant after a one night stand with a stranger. She catches the eye of Brooks, who pursues her without much luck. Leah's new job at a Catholic school is at risk due to her unplanned pregnancy. However, Brooks comes to her unexpected rescue by saying their married. And so, they get married, move in together and their love story ensues. The added baby-daddy drama helps make this story unique and out of the ordinary.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC!
This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, Leah and Brooks. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.
Expecting the same antics and shenanigans that we had in 69 Million Reasons Why I Hate You, I was a little let down that The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby wasn’t as much fun. Don’t take that the wrong way, I enjoyed TBUB, I did openly laugh out loud in places but, Leah just wasn’t as much fun as Kiersten was. But, she was a match for our Billionaire Brooks.
Leah was straight-laced, a teacher in a private Catholic School and pregnant. Unfortunately, the one time she decided to let lose, she ended up pregnant. She barely knew the guys name and now she’s having his baby, starting a new job in a new school with a moral’s clause and meeting the one man that could bring her to her knees. And, what does she do? Of course, puke on him. But, that doesn’t deter him and, after one explosive kiss, he disappears.
Brooks has no idea what hit him. One kiss and he wanted it all. No woman has ever affected him like that. But, what does he have to offer her? He’s the class clown, the one no one takes seriously, the screw-up. He’s also her savior when she needs it most. Marrying a woman having another mans baby may not have been his smartest decision, but it’s one that he will stick to, until they go their separate ways. So, why did he help her find the baby-daddy? Why does his temper go through the roof every time he comes around and wants to be a part of their lives? Why does his heart break when he walks away from the one woman who he knows with bring happiness to the rest of his life? He knows he will never get along with the snake so the best thing that he can do is leave.
I tried to figure out, throughout this story, what angle Marcus was taking. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, for him to do something totally despicable to Leah. Other than irritating the living hell out of Brooks, he was sincere. Did I like him? No. Did I trust him? No. Did I respect him? Begrudgingly, yes.
Kira Archer wrote a story interspersed with humor and love. She showed us the serious side of Brooks and the fun side of Leah. Brooks was really down on himself and it did get to be a little too much at times. There is only so many times I could read “woe-is-me”. But, when he was playful, he was wonderful. I loved that Kiersten and Cole were featured throughout the story and Harrison and Chris were back too. And, the banter between the four men is what sets her apart … usually it’s the woman gossiping and handing out advice but the Billionaire’s would give any woman a run for their money. Looking forward to see who is next to get relationship fever … will it be Harrison or Chris?
A billionaire romance that starts at sea and a teeny secret is delightful, exciting, sexy, and all about good fun.
When Leah Andrews discovers a one-night stand results in a permanent reminder, she does everything she can to let the father know.
What will happen when she returns to her life after a vacation and the assumptions are made she isn't of moral character?
Brooks Larson is a billionaire playboy with no intentions of settling down until he meets Leah. When he suggests a plan to save her job, it's a quest to do it with perfection.
Don't miss this must read from Kira Archer
A funny book with a fake marriage troupe. Entertaining read. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC
3.5 stars
I was happily enjoying the first part of this story, but I have to say, the story lost me about half way through. I did not like that Leah is having another man’s baby and that she insists on pulling him into the blooming relationship between Brooks and Leah. The fact that Brooks hates the baby daddy, and he feels he is not good enough for Leah and her baby, had me feeling he needs a fair bit of therapy and is not ready to really step up.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.

I look forward to reading more from this author.
i absolutely adored the first one in this series, though to be honest i remember pretty much nothing about it. i was really looking forward to this one, and it was super cute, funny, sexy, i definitely enjoyed it but not as much as the first. this one felt really short, like it wasn't as developed as it could have been, but then i just checked and the first was about the same length, so i don't know why but this one just *felt* shorter. maybe it was because it was more of a serious situation, you know? i do feel like this could have been a good enough story without the father and all his drama, but for what it was i did really enjoy it and will definitely keep an eye out for more books from this author.
The Billionaire's Unexpected Baby is the second book in the Winning the Billionaire series but can be read as a standalone. It's a fake marriage romance that is well written.
Leah had her first one night stand and ended up pregnant. Her best friend, Kiersten, convinces her to have a little fun with Brooks before she has to get serious and be a parent. They have an instant attraction that could definitely go somewhere and a few weeks after they first meet, Brooks finds out about Leah's pregnancy and offers to marry her to save her job. When the father of Leah's baby finally gets in touch, it turns out he is Brooks' nemesis. How long will this marriage of convenience last?
I felt that I could really relate to Leah since I have been in a similar situation. She feels obligated to at least let her baby's father have a chance at being a dad and it's a hard thing to deal with in all honesty. Brooks was so down on himself at times and I really wanted to yell at him to snap out of it. I felt really invested in this book and really enjoyed it. I can't wait to read what Ms. Archer writes next.
One minute, pregnant Leah Andrews is throwing up over the side of a yacht and the next, she’s married to party boy Brooks. It’s an arrangement born of sheer desperation to save her job, but now the tabloids are all over them, their friends are running a pool betting on whether they’ll actually stay married until Baby Day, and worst of all, she and her new husband might just be falling for one another.
I really loved the first book in this series, 69 Million Reasons I Hate You, so I was really excited to read this book. You get little snippets of Cole and Kiersten from the first book, and get to know Leah and Brooks more in this book. This was a super cute story and I enjoyed it. Not as much as the first, but still good in its own ways.
Bottom Line: Cute read! If you are looking for a fun love story series, try this one out!
**I received a copy of The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are of my own.**
Brooks best friend and partner was Cole. He had other best friends- Chris and Harrison. Cole was now had married to Kirsten and they had a baby girl named Piper that was Brooks’s goddaughter. Then Brooks sees a woman next to Kirsten and asked who it was and Cole told him to leave her alone. Her name was Leah and she was Kirsten’s oldest friend and Godmother to Piper. Leah for once in her life decided not to be a good girl and had a one night stand and ended up pregnant even though the had used condoms. She was now over twelve weeks pregnant and just starting to show. Leah had only facebook to try to contact her unborn baby’s father and had sent messages to him several time- his name was Marcus. She had said she would be ok doing things on her own she had just wanted to let Marcus know of his unborn child's existence. Even though Leah was there to help with her godchild it was a vacation for her. When it was over she would start her new job at a private Catholic school for girls. Also she had to prepare to be a single parent. Brooks usually steered clear of good girls as there was just too many complications. Brooks had a strict policy of getting involved with women that were as commitment-phobic as he was. Brooks didn’t know what it was about Leah but she intrigued him. But that scared the dickens out of him. When Leah was putting boxes into hre place on campus Brooks showed up and told her that she shouldn’t be lifting with being pregnant and the Mother Superior was there and told Leah under the circumstances she couldn’t work there. Then Brooks said they were getting married and he would find a place for them to move off campus and he traveled a lot so he wouldn't be around a lot. The Mother Superior said they had to be married and leah had to have a marriage certificate on file by the first day that school started. So Leah moves to Brooks condo in the city. Brooks and leah have sex on their wedding night early in the morning Leah waked up and she was bleeding Brooks immediately took care of Leah and got her in the hospital. But leah is alright she just has to be careful for awhile. Brooks doesn’t want leah to really do anything and completely takes care of her. Then it turns out Leah’s baby’s daddy was a creep that Brooks,Cole , Harrison, and Chris had all went to college with and he had a\screwed Brooks over and took an app they had been working on and used it knowing Brooks didn’t have the money to legally fight him as Marcus came from a family with money and Brooks didn’t. Marcus had to always one up Brooks. Leah isn’t really comfortable in Brooks condo and can’t imagine raising a child there or even in the city. Brooks gets a hold of marcus for Leah and he shows up at the condo one night and it was obvious neither man liked the other.
I loved this story. I loved Brooks and Leah together. I also loved how protective, tender, and caring Brooks was to Leah. I also loved how stubborn and independent Leah was. This was a sweet fun romantic read and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the plot and the pace of this book. I didn’t particularly like Marcus to much until the end then he and Brooks straightened things out between them. I felt bad when Brooks hurt Leah thinking it was best for her and the baby that he already loved. I loved the relationship between Brooks and Cole, Harrison, and Chris. I couldn’t find anything to criticize and that was great. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Brooks Larson & Leah Andrews. These are two people who should have never met but due to a party on a yacht that Brooks is throwing they are both there. Leah is just there to help out with Cole and Kiersten's baby not to play with the new playboy. However when he finds her puking over the railing all bets are off. Can two people who should never be together find that this is exactly what they should do? Or will they find that being together will lead to the biggest mistake of their life?
This is an amazing story about finding the one person you didn't know you were looking for. There are some ups and downs in this story that I really want to tell you about. I however don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
Leah Andrews knows her being pregnant could cause problems for her new job, but she never imagined Brooks Larson would be the solution to the problem that arises once the nuns running the school discover her condition. However, marrying Brooks is a bad idea, especially when she's pregnant with another man's baby, and she could very easily fall in love with Brooks. And when the baby's father comes back into Leah's life, will she be able to hold onto what she has with Brooks, or will they lose their shot at happy ever after?
What a very engaging and wonderful read Ms. Archer has delivered in this second book of her Winning the Billionaire series where it was hard not to be affected by everything this couple go through, especially once the baby's father comes back into Leah's life; the dialogue was riveting, as Brooks is charming and does everything he can to prove to Leah that she's made the right decision in marrying him, even though he ends up disappointing her; and the fast-paced storyline kept me entertained from start to finish due to the obstacles these two face on their journey to happy ever after such as the baby's father coming back into Leah's life and making Brooks life a misery because the two men have quite the history.
The way this story started had me liking the hero and heroine immediately, as the hero is determined to win the heroine over, and yet, the moment had me smiling because things don't go according to plan. Moreover, both the main characters were enthralling due to their back stories, their growing relationship and because of the fact that Leah isn't like the women Brooks normally goes for in the way she doesn't care what his money can buy, which means she provides him with a real challenge. Will Leah be able to accept everything Brooks is determined to give her? I also liked how charming and driven the hero was, yet I could n't help but sympathize with him when it came to the moment when he learns who the father of Leah's baby is. Will Brooks be able to handle the fact that the father is someone who he thought he could trust but in the end betrayed him in the past?
While the heroine, she goes through a lot in this story, especially when Brooks and her baby's father come face-to-face and there's such animosity between them. However, she's resilient, courageous and I loved how she handled their rivalry. I also liked the tight friendship she shares with Kiersten, one of the secondary characters, as the woman gives good advice and is always there when Leah needs her. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine is that she gave Brooks a chance, even knowing that he might break her heart, because he doesn't do relationships but was willing to help her.
Overall, Ms. Archer has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between Leah and Brooks was instant and intense; the romance was nicely-detailed and shows how good a marriage of convenience can be, especially when it leads to happy ever after; and the ending had me loving what the hero does to get the heroine to talk to him and that everything worked out for the best between this couple, as they're so good together. I would recommend The Billionaire's Unexpected Baby by Kira Archer, if you enjoy the marriage of convenience trope, the fake relationship trope, or books by authors Victoria Davies, Regina Kyle, Avery Flynn and Jenna-Bayley Burke.
Good book. Couldn’t put it down.
Would love to read more from this author
Nice Twists in this story. Refreshing hero that seems too good to be true but even as his flaws surface you just want to cheer for Brooks and Leah. I'm glad she saw what even his own friends didn't see in him.
I am definitely going to go read the first story of this series! Can't wait to see who Ms. Archer matches up next!
