I adore single father romances. Let it Be Me did not disappoint at all. Adam is anti-love single dad trying to do the best he can with his son Charlie. Adam and Charlie are adorable together. Megan the nanny soon to be teacher is moving on from Adam and Charlie. It is sweet and so loveable how they all interact. I really loved the relationship between Megan and Charlie. You add in the fight of attractions between Adam and Megan and you have me sold on this adorable and wonderful story. This was a first time read of Jody Holford for me and I got to say I can't wait to read more. If you love single dad sweet romances with that little bit forbidden aspect then this is one for you.

Five years, and this seems to be their first conversation. Weird. Does he spend any time with his kid?

Er, is she supposed to take it as a compliment that he doesn't want to marry her?

I kind of hated him, and she's a doormat.

Another fabulous book by Jody Holford, author of the Kendrick Place series!

I loved that series and how the characters from each book appeared throughout the others. Since they were some of my favorite books this year I had high hopes going into reading Let It Be Me.

Megan has worked for Adam as his son Charlie's nanny for five years. During that time, though, they have barely gotten to know each other because he is often working and their conversation often centers on Charlie. She is optimistic, caring, and believes in true love.

Adam works hard, wanting to provide the best life he can for Charlie, especially after his divorce. He has very definite views on life and is sure he will never fall in love again. When Megan gets a job teaching and plans to leave, though, he decides she can help him find a wife using a specific set of criteria.

Seeing Megan and Adam grow both individually and as they spent time together felt very realistic. Especially as you learn about their families and life before each other. The plot was well paced and introduced secondary characters that added a lot of humor to the story. I hope that there are future books planned about Megan and Adam's friends.

This was an enjoyable story about a nanny and her boss. Megan is the nanny and Adam the boss, Charlie is his son. Meg has worked for A for 5 years and now graduated college and is getting a teaching job. This story takes place in the summer before she starts her new job and moves out.

Adam decides he doesn't want another nanny but a wife and so he asks Meg to find him one. So she finds a wife using the internet. Why doesn't A want Meg? well because she is young and deserves love and he is done with love. So thats why he asks her to set him up.

It was an enjoyable story and at the end I liked both main characters. But at first I HATED Adam he comes across as this huge jerk. I mean serious jerk. He treats Meg horribly. But as the book progresses he gets much better and by the end I really liked him a lot. This book is really his story about letting love in, even when you are afraid.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
