So, this wasn't really my sort of thing. The first part of the book was cute. There were a few comics that made me smile or giggle. Mostly, they are just scenes from life put on paper. I think that a lot of people can relate to them, whether or not they find them funny.
The next part of the book was a lot less interesting to me. Sarah reaches out to people that may want to become artists to give them some advice and encouragement. I agree with a lot of her thoughts, but it just didn't relate to me. I'm an older adult (pretty sure she's around the age of my kids), so having an 'adult' talk to me about the internet and life choices, etc was a little weird. I think for kids, particularly those interested in art, it would be good. But, for me, it just didn't work.
This is the first comic I read by Sarah Anderson and it was basically what I expected it to be until the end. I'll try another of her books, but honestly, I've seen a few of her comics outside of books and they seem to all be very similar. I'm not just talking about style here. I mean the content is pretty much the same. I'm not someone that loves repetition, so I probably won't follow too much of her work. I'm thinking I may not be the target audience anyway.
