It all starts with Bear. He is walking down a deserted path through the forest but where is he going? A parade of inquisitive animals begin following their friend lured on by riddles such as:

"I'm going to see some sleepy little eyes!" Squirrel joins him and together they add... " and some cute little ears!" Along comes Fox who is happy to be there... "We are going to see a little pink nose!" Oh look, Rabbit has joined the conga line... "We are going to see a teensy-weensy mouth!' Curiosity almost kills Cat as to their destination so she feels that she must join the procession and find out where they are all headed... "We are going to see a soft little belly!" Oh my goodness is there anybody else? Yep, here comes smiling Goat. He falls in and strides along with the rest of the group too. It's a party! But where are they all going? Can you guess?

Someone brand-new and beautiful has arrived in the forest and the friends are going to pay their respect and welcome that new baby with kisses and an invitation to come play with them when he gets a tad bigger. It's a party alright, it's a welcome-to-the-world-baby party!

This delightful book is about friendship, acceptance and extreme happiness when someone new is added to your circle of friends. The illustrations are simply adorable and the colour pallet is soft, warm and inviting. I love the book and highly recommend it.

This book was absolutely precious! The artwork was adorable and I loved the idea that these little critters all were so excited to meet baby mouse. Plus, my 18-month-old son seemed to enjoy it!

This book is very cutesy. Almost sickeningly so. I would probably recommend it for 2-3 year old children. There isn't really a story or a problem to overcome, everyone is just gathering to visit a baby mouse.

Oh so cute! The perfect little book for an older brother or sister of a new baby! I loved the illustrations! I think it would make a fine addition to a collection of similar stories!

A small bear goes on a quest and is joined by friends along the way, each stop adding another body part to what they’re going to see. Perhaps the point is for the child reading this to guess, but I couldn’t. Still, it’s cute enough for kids to enjoy.

This sweetly illustrated children's book is good for number association as well as teaching about getting along with others. Bear journey's through the forest, and with each turn of the page, another animal tags along - on the way to see the new baby (mouse).

I read this book to my 18 month old granddaughter and she liked it well enough. The blurb says it is: For toddlers ages 18 months and up, with a focus on the child’s daily life. I am not sure about the daily life part. My granddaughter was more interested in touching the parts of her head mentioned in the story and trying to say what it was (i.e. ears). She did like the illustrations and the animals depicted. It would also be a good way to introduce a new baby on the way to a young child. The illustrations were large and well done and certainly held her attention more so than the story itself. A cute book for young children.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

This is a sweet little book that would be perfect for a toddler expecting a new baby in the family! We follow Bear and his friends on a walk through the forest because “I’m going to see some sleepy little eyes”, “We are going to see a little pink nose!” and eventually they come to the new baby mouse.

The illustrations are cute and the story is simple enough for a very young toddler. It reinforces the smallness of the new arrival and how one day he/she will be big enough to play. I think there could have been more to the story, it seemed a little short to me but I was reading it to an almost 2 year old and it didn’t keep her attention for long. Maybe some counting or comments about the forest would have enriched the story.

I liked this book but don’t know if I would purchase it.

Will post to Amazon upon publication.

A beautifully illustrated book about friendship and empathy. Told in a very funny and easy day it has a lot to say to a small toddler trying to learn the basic of human interaction.
