I thought it was good but not great. I liked the characters and the romance. I did like the grandma. She should have been in the story more!
a good story for the most part - Outlaw Ride was well-written

Third book in the series. Of course, I haven't read the first two, but this one is completely stand alone. Interesting story. Clint is not your usual hard arse biker except when his girl gets threatened. He moves out of the clubhouse and buys a house so his Nana can live with him to be closer to her dialysis treatments. Then there's Jo, Nana's home health nurse who's still working on getting her RN. They were great together, but it took so long to get there....he's my boss I can't (repeatedly). Loved their Post-It note communications.
This book was everything I love about romance. Clint and Jo are an absolute delight to get to know with every page and their attraction could set the world on fire. I love how relatable Jo is. She’s been through a lot and has no reason to trust men but Clint works hard to get through her walls and make her see that he is more than the vest he wears.
I highly recommend this book
While this the third book in this series it can easily be read as a stand-alone.
It’s also worth mentioning that this is a romance first MC second kind of book. It’s not a hard dark and gritty biker read it’s about a guy (Clint) who happens to be a biker but he’s soft, sweet and lovable I mean we’re talking dancing the foxtrot at a senior centre and taking his Nana in to live with him and even taking her to family night at the club.
This is the kind of guy you want to take home to meet your parents, well minus the tattoos and vest maybe depending on your parents.
Anne Remmick needs dialysis and so to drastically cut down on travelling time she moves in with her grandson Clint. Anne hires Jo as her home health-care worker and the scene is set.
Jo’s life hasn’t been easy, her father was in the military and so they moved regularly, her mother left when she was a teenager and her dad died when she was nineteen. On top of this her father was black and her mother white so she’s suffered prejudice due to her skin colour all her life.
I liked Jo in fact my only problem (and I totally understand where she’s coming from she needs to look after herself and not jeopardise her job and living accommodations) was the I like him but he’s my boss thing, I understand but it went on a little too long for me.
Clint was an absolute sweetie and apart from his complete 180 moment I loved him.
I felt the part where Jo got involved in business was unnecessary and pretty stupid really, the book would have worked better without that, well for me anyway. But all things considered if you’re looking for a nice little romance with a charming, crafty old lady then this could be it.
While I liked Jo and Clint it was Nana that stole the show.
I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley and HARLEQUIN - Carina Press.
Clint is a man who loves and cares for his Nana. Can it get better than that? Then he blows it and is an ass during a difficult time in Jo's life. I kept thinking, he's going to have to make a really big jester to make up for that. Boy, he does then some. Fast cars and bikers together in this book. Loved it!
