I've read most of the books by Aurora Rose Reynolds, so I'm quite familiar with her style of writing. I love her hero's and the alpha gene they all share. This is a good read and if you've read the first book in the series it's quite enjoyable to see the characters evolve from that story. Wes & Mac have instantaneous chemistry and a sexy ride into ever after.
I love this series. Aurora Rose gave us another great read with Mac and Wesley. It was a good, entertaining, quick read. Also liked see where Fawn and Levi currently are. Can't wait to see what's up next for Libby!
I had read the first book in this series and loved it, so I was excited to have the opportunity to read this one as well. I was worried that I couldn't possibly like this one as much, but I was wrong. This book is just as good as the first, with a swoon-worthy hero in Wesley, who is the cop partner of Levi from the first book, and a sweet, intelligent, strong heroine in Mackenzie, the sister of Fawn from Book 1. I loved Wesley and Mac's story, which actually surprised me because it has a surprise plot twist that involves an element I typically don't care for. I won't give away the surprise, but I will say that it was not handled in the typical, cliché way, which was so refreshing. I'm hoping Libby's story is next, and I will look forward to reading the first two books again prior to reading her story. These books and the families in them are a delight!
I love Insta love stories with swoon worthy hero’s and Aurora Rose Reynolds is a master of these. I loved Mackenzie’s and Wesley’s story, they were so well suited as a couple. They helped each other start to live again, there was some angst but overall this was a beautiful heart warming love story, I would definelty recommend this for anyone who loves a good romance.
Mac and Wesley's story was so beautiful. He will definitely make you swoon while she makes you root for her to see how awesome she is. I love these two together!
What can I say about this book? I want to start this review by saying that Aurora Rose Reynolds will always be one of my favourite authors and I will ALWAYS recommend her books because even when they don't meet my expectations, they are still so good just because of the way she writes! I absolutely love her!!
Stumbling into Love is the second book from her Fluke my Life series and I was really looking foward to it because I really liked the first book. That being said, I was a little dissapointed with it as I thought that it didn't really have a story. Wes was completly normal and suddently he was all broken up about the what had happened in the past... I think we could have had more scenes about that and less about Mac and Edward.
My main problems with this book are first the careless way they don't use condoms so many times, but I even forgive that, even worse is that when you finish the book you don't really know what was the story, just that they had a baby and that's that! I would've liked more aspects to it!
All that being said, I don't regret reading the book and I enjoyed it, the couple Mac and Wes was great together and we got to have a ideia about whom the third book will be about and I'm really excited and will be reading it obviously!!
I recommend this to anyone who's a fan of a romantic story between an alpha male and a stubborn female. Even though I prefered the first, I still liked this one but I still think that the Until series and spin off series are way better!! I'm completly obsessed with them and can't wait to read Until Harmony!!
Stumbling Into Love is the second book in the series and it is about MacKenzie, Fawn's sister and Wesley. I loved Mac and Wesley alot. They were perfect together and had amazing chemistry and hot hot sexy scenes! Wesley was my kind of man, he was swoony, sexy, possessive and all alpha! Mac was sweet and sassy! I loved all the secondary characters and of course seeing Fawn and Levi again! I am looking forward to reading Libby's book! This is another great read by Aurora Rose Reynolds and it is a must read series!
Loved! Mac and Wesley's story was great. Both Mac and Wesley were loveable characters, the story was awesome, the ending was good... It was just a great book overall.
Aurora Rose Reynolds did leave you with an epilogue, so if, like me, getting closure to a story is important to you, Stumbling Into Love has you covered.
Mackenzie and Wesley have a chance meeting after she is stood up on a date. Wesley and Mackenzie then have a one-night stand. Mackenzie does not handle the morning after well at all and runs away from Wesley. Wesley then runs into Mackenzie when she not so subtly runs away again. It got old the amount of times she ran away from Wesley and her feelings. I am not a huge fan of the h giving the H whiplash with the amount of push/pull she engages in. Wesley did pursue her and backed off when he felt it was appropriate. I did like how he called her out on her running and didn't hesitate when life threw them a curve ball. I also liked how Mac called him out on avoiding his past and making him deal with it. Aurora Rose Reynolds did manage to give me a good grasp of her characters and what made them the way they were by the end of the book. It was a good, solid read and, if you liked her other books, you will definitely like this one. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

"I know that nothing about us is traditional, but I’m okay with that as long as there is an us.”
Ya’ll! I really liked this book. So much better than the first in this series. I loved Mackenzie and Wesley from the first time they met. Mackenzie gets stood up for a date and she meets Wesley and sparks fly. They have one night together but Wesley knows that he wants more.
I liked Mackenzie. Her character seemed really honest and came off real. She had her flaws and didn’t just fall head first into Wesley which was refreshing.
Wesley was completely swoon worthy! I loved him so much. He was a classic ARR love interest. Unapologetically alpha, sexy, and captivating. Don’t believe me? See quotes below..
“This is more than just sex. I know I can’t keep my hands off you when you’re close, but I also can’t keep my mind off you when you’re gone.”
“Mackenzie has made me want those things for myself – a wife, a family, someone to come home to at the end of the day. She’s my best friend. A best friend I have unbelievable chemistry with.”
See! I couldn’t get enough of their dialogue. We didn’t learn much about Wesley’s past until the end but I felt like that went with the story to show how he learned to trust Mackenzie with his heart.
The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because of all the back and forth. There was way too much of that for me. I get that some stuff scared Mackenzie but she was more flighty than a scared pidgeon.
All in all, this book took me back to my obsession with ARR and her books. I can’t wait for the next in the series. I think it’s going to be about Libby and Antonio and I’m excited!
Ahhh I loved this book! Loved Mac and Wesley and their rollercoaster of a start to their relationship and really enjoyed the humour in the story as well. It was a book I didn’t want to put down, and now I finished I just want more - is it time for Libby’s story yet? I’m impatient for more!
This is much like its predecessor, a sweet and hot romance. Unlike Fawn and Levi’s slow burn this is a wham bam start and I must say I rather enjoyed it. Now I’ll admit it took me a bit to remember all the players here but it doesn’t take long to get back into the groove. I really liked Wesley and Mac and him together are quite the pair. For those who read Running into love, you’ll enjoy this, if you haven’t read it yet..check it out.
This was an advanced reader copy provided by the author/publisher in exchange for a honest review via Netgalley.
This one was so much fun to read, from the startling meeting between Mac and Wesley to the ending. I think what made the first meeting so memorable was that it was so out of character to Mac, but her reaction was spot on. I found myself laughing as she ran and later when her phone ploy went awry, which made me happy. I liked that Wesley called Mac out on her behavior and once again Mac acted out of character.
The next time these two meet was great, so deliciously awkward. I hated that Mac couldn't accurately say why she didn't want to out things with Wesley as it made him feel like crap, but she did a good job making things up with him. Almost as good was when Mac called Wesley out on the ways that he kept Mac out, it needed to be done if they were to thrive. I loved how Wesley figured things out, nothing like eating crow and running for your life at the same time.
I loved how this one ended, loved the double epilogue and seeing how happy Mac and Wesley were.
One a side note, Mac's parents once again shone in this one. They are crazy, but in the best way. I also find myself looking forward to Libby's book, you can see where things are heading in this one and it should be interesting.
How is it that this author can make me fall in love with EVERY character she writes. 24% in and I was already in love!
'Why’d you leave?
Because you wouldn’t want me if you really knew me.
You’re wrong.'
Wesley, Wesley, Wesley how I love thee.
So, me falling in love aside, all this was set up in Running into Love and I simply could not wait to read. Mac's family are just hilarious, her mum never fails to disappoint!
Now I just need Libby to make the full set!
I received a no cost arc from netgallery for review purposes.
This is book 2 in the series and runs concurrently with book 1. It stars Wes, a guy Mac hooks up for one night in a bar. She runs the next day but returns because she left her cell phone. After that she runs into him at Thanksgiving dinner and thats where she finds out he is her sisters boyfriends police partner. And that is where the book gets fun.
This is the story about Wes and Mac falling in love around her crazy family. It was sweet., romantic and I truly loved every second of the story. Wes has a tragic past and he has to learn how to move past that and let Mac in.
This book stands alone but if you plan to read the series I would start with the first book so you will understand events easily as I said some things run concurrently.
Mackenzie Reed is unlucky in men, she always seems to find a man who doesn't share the feelings she has. After the latest blow ends up with her alone at a bar she meets Wesley Porter, he charms her immediately but when the night is over Mackenzie leaves believing it is a one night stand.
Wesley doesn't know what to think where Mackenzie is concerned, the attraction is there but she seems to think that she is not the type of girl Wesley would want and she couldn't be more wrong. Wesley knows he is not planning to let Mackenzie go but how do you convince a stubborn woman he is playing for keeps.
Wow. I was hoping that Wesley and Mackenzie's story would be next in this entertaining series. I loved this couple and like that the story intertwines with the first book but yet sets itself apart. The wacky family just adds another layer to the fantastic read.
Oh, HOLY WOW! Wesley & Mackenzie have a little more angst to work through, but they do it SO WELL! I'm so thankful the have had the opportunity to read this one early! ARR is an author I can always count on to deliver a fun, emotional story, and I look forward to each new one like Christmas morning when I was a kiddo. Wesley & Mackenzie have a BOOM-like bond (perhaps one of them is secretly related to the Maysons...*grin*). And I loved seeing more of the Fawn/Mac/Libby sister connection - especially because they give us some great LOL moments!! They are a hoot when they're in a scene together!
Bottom line - I love this story & it joins its sibling books on my favorites/re-read shelf!! : )
AAR has done it again. I was excited to see Mac and Wes’ story play out after reading the first book and I wasn’t disappointed. The chemistry that they have, the witty banter, the way they deal with their issues. It was all done beautifully. I loved seeing all the secondary characters from the first book, and look forward to seeing where the next book will take us. This book followed pretty much the same timeline as the first one and getting to see different aspects of what we already saw was another fun part. 5 Stars #2OCCJD
Full disclosure, I didn't like the previous book in this series. I actually debated on requesting this arc because I was so nervous about the story but in the end the fact that it was ARR, one of my favorite authors, gave me the courage to just dive right in.
I'm really glad I didn't let my nervousness stop me from reading this because I ended up thoroughly enjoying Mackenzie and Wesley. Mac was a great heroine that I quickly became a fan of. I loved that she was so comfortable being who she wanted to be and despite a few moments where she had hopes of being a little more girly. It was fun to read about her so at ease with Wesley and it made me pay a lot more attention to the chemistry between them, which ended up being my favorite part of this book.
Wesley was more of mystery than Mac was and wanting to know more about his character had me captivated. We didn't get to learn too much of his past until the end but I liked that the not knowing added such an intrigue to the story.
Overall, this book took me back to the old ARR stories and reminded me why she's one the first authors I recommend whenever someone is looking for a new-to-them author to read. The story was well paced, intriguing, and had characters that were very easy to like. I'm already dying to get the next book in the series and can't wait to see how it turns out.
ARR once again brings a book full of chemistry, a swoons alpha and romance that will make your heart beat.
I absolutely love every time I open a book from Aurora Rose Reynolds knowing I’m going to get the giddy swoony romance I live for.
After a sexy one night hookup these two run into each other again. Keeping up with the theme of this series it’s almost as if it’s fate and not just a fluke.
Their story has some entertaining moments which include some hilarious and somewhat crazy side characters.
Mac and Wesley have their stumbling blocks but Wesley’s persistence definitely had my heart swooning.
I love Mac and how she was such an easy going type of woman. She’s much more comfortable in Jean and a tshirt and that made her so easily relatable.
These two were definitely perfect for each other and I loved their chemistry, their easiness around one another and how they fit together.
Absolutely can’t wait for more from this series.
