GET READY FOR IT!
Well, Catherine Bybee has done it once again! Get ready for it! “NOT QUITE CRAZY” evokes a myriad of emotions! You will laugh, cry, gasp, and sigh. You’ll even find yourself wanting to punch out the nemesis! But most all… you’ll fall in love with the three major characters (Jason Fairchild, Rachel Price, and 15-year-old Owen Moreau). They will steal your heart!

Jason, is a young CEO, and a workaholic. He’s dedicated to his family and the family business: Fairchild Charters. But, one day, Jason takes a look at his two younger brothers and sees how happy they are being married: something he’s managed to elude. However, Jason, doesn’t realize what’s missing in his life, until he meets Rachel.

Rachel, is a recent transplant from California – arriving in Manhattan with a promising new job and a plate full of personal responsibilities she hopes she can juggle. Settling in is hard, and Rachel’s definitely not looking for romance or a relationship. But, one snowy night, she accidentally meets the very attractive Jason who becomes just one more thing added to that very full plate!

Some readers may find this story a bit slow in the beginning. That’s because Bybee has woven these two characters into a delicate slow dance. They skirt around the sparks of heat and attraction nipping at their heels, while onlookers anxiously await and anticipate the moment the fireworks will ignite.

And, as for the 15-year-old Owen – this character will turn the reader inside out! They can’t help but love him. And, anymore said by this reviewer may result in dropping a few spoilers. Shh!

I only have one thing to say; ‘I LOVED reading this book!’ It had me from beginning to end. But more than that, I hated saying goodbye to my newly found friends: Jason, Rachel, and Owen. So, if you haven’t read this book… I highly recommend it! THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!

I was so disappointed to learn this would be the last book in this great series. Catherine Bybee writes the most relatable and genuine characters and of course this book did not disappoint. Not Quite Crazy leaves you with a smile and happy heart!

An enjoyable heartwarming story that grabbed me from the get go and didn't let go until the end. The characters were all great and the three primary characters well developed with personality. This is book 6, and is the first book by CB that I have read, and it read well as a stand alone. The plot moves along nicely and has a bit of a twist towards the end. Overall, a very well written novel with a nice blend of sweetness and humour. * I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

This is the last in this series and the book does not disappoint in the slightest, it is the author at what we know she does best.

Rachel has moved across the country with her ward, the son of her late friend in order that he be closer to his blood family should anything happen to her, even if Owen doesn't know his paternal grandparents and barely knows his father.

Jason, the oldest of the Fairchild brothers first meets Rachel when he goes off the road into a ditch and Rachel offers to take him to there house until his car can be towed and he can get a lift home. It is from here that Jason finally finds a woman that intrigues him and he find himself wanting not only to know her more, but to help her around the house with tasks he has not done in a long time.

The relationship between the two starts as complicated but only because Rachel knows that she has to be careful, especially as she now has Owen to consider.

We get to see other member of the the Fairchild family from previous books that way in and help the couple which is nice to see, we also get to see a really soft side to Jason that we have never really seen before.

I am so sad that this series has finished, however i am excited to see what Catherine comes up with next for us.

I did however love this part said by Owen the boy Rachel has taken on:
"Hate is such a strong word."
Owen glared. "I don't care for math or science."
Deyadria smiled, as if she had changed Owen's language for good with one suggestion.
"Much like i don't care for a festering, puss-filled pimple on my butt."

For my review, I will not restate the plot since you can read the description on the jacket, nor will I post any spoilers.
I have read several books by Catherine Bybee, but I have to say this has been my favorite thus far. The H and h are strong characters and their story is wellwritten. There are hints that there are books preceding this one which pertain to other characters in this one. This is a stand-alone book and does not require reading the previous novels.
There is romance, some strong language and a few f-bombs as well as some sex scenes. However, the sex scenes are not explicit, although anatomical names of certain body parts are used. There is drama based on family interactions. But this book is a love story in the truest sense. Thank you, Catherine Bybee. A 5 star read.

What a joy and pleasure it was to read Catherine Bybee’s newest book, Not Quite Crazy. Any lover of romance and “happily ever after” novels would be crazy not to love this book. It hooked me immediately and I read it in just a couple of sittings; truly unable to put it down. The final installment of the “Not Quite” series, this one may have topped them all. I loved it.

There are three main characters in this book, Rachel Price, her ward Owen Moreau, and Jason Fairchild. They are each very likable and bring great warm and humor to the book. While the primary love story focuses on Rachel and Jason, Owen is very much a part of their relationship and his presence brings added depth to the book.

While there is conflict and issues to be dealt with, They are handled with a deft hand. I appreciated the lack of deep, prolonged angst.

I recommend this book for all lovers of romance, chick-lit, and happily-ever-after. Catherine Bybee has an easy writing style that draws the reader in quickly and this book flows from start to finish. I highly recommend it.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions stated are solely my own.

Bybee does it again. Every book gets better. Loved this story. The situation and the romance really make for a great read.

I especially enjoyed the relationships between the three main characters - Rachel, Owen, and Jason. They were well-developed and felt real to me. Not Quite Crazy made me think about what really makes a family. It would be interesting to discuss with high school students, except the sex is too explicit, in my opinion, to use in a classroom.

I've read all the books in Catherine Bybee’s Not Quite series and Not Quite Crazy was one of my favorites. The book features Rachel Price and Jason, the oldest of the Fairfield brothers. Rachel and Jason meet quite by accident one snowy night. The characters chemistry is off the charts from the beginning. The books characters are both endearing and believable. The various plot lines will keep you engaged. I just wish the series didn't have to end.

I absolutely adore the characters in this book. The characters are funny and the storyline was well developed.

This just might be my favorite in the series because of the appearance of characters from earlier books in the series. It was really nice to see the Fairchild’s and Morrison’s again. Those Fairchild men are totally devoted to their “strong” women.

How many of us would jump in to raise the teenage son of our best friend when she passes away from cancer? That is what Rachel has done. .
She moves herself and Owen from California to Connecticut.to try and avoid a custody battle with the controlling grandma. Rachel meets Jason when she is driving way to slow in her first snow storm and causes him to go into a ditch. So what she helps this stranger out.. Sparks begin to fly. It is not until a few days later that she finds out that Jason Fairfield is her boss. She does not want the hassle of dating her boss.

This book is very well written and has quite a few of laugh out loud moments. I am sad to say this is the last booking the series Thank you for entertaining us Catherine.

Not Quite Crazy is the sixth and final installment in Catherine Bybee's Not Quite series and she definitely saved the best for last! I have enjoyed every book in this series, but there was something about this one that hooked me from the outset and I didn't want to put it down. As much as I hate to see this series end, I can't wait to see what's next!

I giggled like a little kid on Christmas morning when the publisher approved me to read an ARC of this book via NetGalley.

I loved Jason's book so much! The oldest Fairchild with the weight of the world (or at least the business) on his shoulders. He's spent so much time making sure his brothers were ok, he never worried much about himself. Then he meets Rachel quite by accident, literally, and he can't stay away. The only problem - turns out he's her boss. The scene they discover this is hilarious!

The romance is more of a slow burn than what you usually see in a Bybee book. I didn't even think about that until after I was done though because the book hooks you from the beginning and you will curse work and kids home because of snow that keep you from finishing.

I normally do not love books that involve teenage kids and drama, but I loved Owen and the dynamic he brings to the story. He may be only 15, but it would be nice if somewhere down the road he got his own story...hint hint. :-)

I'm "not quite" ready to say goodbye to this series - it's been so good from start to end. And no, you don't have to have read the others before this one, but you should. I started the series with book 5 and immediately started reading the others and then re-read them all to love the stories even more.

This book and series as a whole is one I will keep coming back to and re-reading over and over in the hopes that one day I will swipe left on my Kindle app at the end and find that it's not really over at all...

I was going to rate this book lower but I read in less than a day so it did hold my attention. I probably enjoyed the relationship between Owen and Rachel the best. Not sure the title fits well but overall a good read.

A brilliant story. Start to finish it keeps you hooked. I love it when I choose an ARC of this kind of quality, where I can rave about the eloquence of the author. One of my favourite reads of the year thus far.

An endearing romance novel which made me smile. The characters were interesting and the storyline was well developed.
I have read some of the other books in the series but this one so far has been the best for me.

We come to the last book in Catherine Bybee’s Not Quite series and she has given us a wonderful heartwarming, amusing and entertaining story.
Rachel Price has done the ultimate thing for her best friend; she agrees to raise her friend’s teenage son after her death. Moving Owen and herself from California to Connecticut so that she can wave off a custody battle with the paternal grandparents of her ward, she gets a job in NY. It is a big adjustment for both. They have so much to contend with, a new house, and the controlling grandmother and Rachel’s new job. But one of the biggest adjustments is the cold snowy NY winters.
In her first snow storm Rachel helps out a stranger who has gone into the ditch because she was driving much to slow for the driver behind her to try to pass and he ended up in the ditch. Little did she know that the man she helped was no other than the CEO of the Fairfield Charters, the firm for whom she worked;. Jason Fairfield, and from the first moment he felt an instant attraction for Rachel, and she felt it too. When she learns who he really is she tries to shut it down but the sparks are just too hard to ignore.
But their relationship comes to ahead when Owen’s grandparents sue Rachel for custody of Owen after they accuse her of fleeing the country with him to keep him away from them. It puts Rachel’s job and her relationship on the line and she must do what she promised her best friend, to always do what was best for her son.
Rachel and Jason are two people who are really made for each other and right from the start the reader can feel this about them. Catherine Bybee takes us on a journey of love and respect and lets us know that in all the chaos of life, when the chips are down the people that we can count on….Family.
A great series from book 1 to book 6. Thank you Catherine for a wonderful series to read, and for sharing these wonderful, loving and passionate characters with us.

I really enjoyed this story about Rachel Price who has moved to take a job in Manhattan in order to fulfill an agreement with the parents of her best friend’s son for whom she is the guardian since the friend’s death. Got that?
She ends up meeting a good-looking guy and they’re attracted to each other. Except he turns out to be the CEO of the private jet company for which she has just taken a job working in their marketing department.
There are several plotlines at work here. She resists his attempts to get closer with her because she has reasonable concerns about dating the boss. She also has to get used to living in Connecticut and commuting to Manhattan. She is also getting used to suddenly having to mother a teenage boy. Their relationship is very sweet. But the boy’s grandparents, who never showed any interest in him now want to do whatever they can to wrest guardianship away from Rachel.
I got so caught up in their story that I couldn’t put this story down. We know it’s all going to end up happily, but I still wanted to see how the author got us there.
I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Catherine’s Not Quite series ends with her latest book, Not Quite Crazy. And what’s not to love about it! Rachel and Jason are so good together and her relationship and love for Owen is so special. Your heart can’t help but do flip flops as you read.
While we are sad to see characters and their stories end, we anticipate Ms. Bybee’s next series into new adventures for her readers.

Not Quite Crazy is the sixth and final installment in Catherine Bybee's Not Quite series and Bybee certainly saved the best for last! I have enjoyed every book in this series, but there was something about this one that hooked me from the outset and I didn't want to put it down.

Rachel Price's life has recently undergone a lot of change. Following her best friend's death, Rachel is now the legal guardian of her best friend's teenage son, Owen, and they have packed up their whole lives and moved from California to be closer to Owen's grandparents in an attempt to keep the peace. Rachel has secured a great job in Manhattan, but she hasn't quite figured out that she really will be better off taking public transportation into work instead of trying to drive, especially when winter shows it's snowy self.

Jason Fairchild is the oldest of the Fairchild siblings and the CEO of their charter plane company. Unlike his brothers, he hasn't settled down yet and currently it is the favorite pastime of his sisters-in-law to try to set him up with prospective dates, but he's not into it. Jason's focus has always been on work and making sure that he keeps the empire his parents built together following their deaths.

One night on the way home from work, Jason ends up in a ditch after sliding off the snowy road when trying to pass the car going at a snails pace ahead of him. When the other passenger comes to his aid after the accident, Jason is captivated by the beautiful woman and that accident might just end up changing the course of the rest of their lives.

As sparks fly between them, it comes to light that Rachel actually works at Jason's company. Now that this piece of information is out in the open, will they be able to continue working toward a personal relationship or will it need to solely stay professional?

The characters that Catherine Bybee has created throughout this entire series have been fantastic. I really enjoyed Rachel, Jason and especially Owen. For a kid who is going through all sorts of change, he had a good head on his shoulders and all I wanted was for things to work out for everyone in the end. I'm really sad to see this series end, but I'm equally excited to see what amazing offerings Bybee has for us next!
