The ending is the best part of this book. Some parts were a little slow. Overall a great book.
Jackie Ashenden writes an old-fashioned, twisting-your-moustache kind of villain, which means she writes a complimentary innocent, doe-eyed heroine in search of a macho strongman to save the day. This is not a bad thing, particularly when characters have such addictive push and pull.
In this case, our undercover billionaire is Wolf Tate, adopted by a man who dangled the carrot of his mother's identity in front of him for years, using Wolf as the weapon to bring down his nemesis. Caught in the middle, along with Wolf, is Olivia de Santis, a devoted daughter who once thought Wolf hung the moon and the stars. When Wolf's father dies, he leaves a final set of instructions: mete out justice and kill Cesare de Santis and you'll learn the location and identity of your mother. Who could turn that down? Not Wolf, that's for sure. Only, he has to go through Olivia since she insists on protecting Cesare, and contrary to what Wolf tells her, he does actually love her. So many tough choices ... such an angsty process.
The Undercover Billionaire is another gripping story by Jackie Ashenden. Ms. Ashenden has once again delivered a story that will grab your attention on the first page and hold you hostage till the end. Wolf is the youngest of the Tate Brothers and I think his story has more angst than the first two books of this series. Wolf kidnaps Olivia de Santis from her father's home, Cesare de Santis is an enemy of the Tates. Olivia and Wolf's story is loaded with action, suspense, drama, humor and sizzle. The characters, especially Olivia, and phenomenal. I enjoyed reading The Undercover Billionaire and look forward to reading more from Jackie Ashenden in the future. The Undercover Billionaire is book 3 of the Tate Brothers Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I received from NetGalley.
I would give this book 3.5 stars. It was a good read. However I enjoyed the two previous books in the series a little more.
Wolf Tate was trained to be the weapon. His father Noah Tate raised him to be just that. So when Noah Tate dies and leaves Wolf with a mission that will give Wolf all he’s ever wanted. A family.
Olivia de Santis has always loved Wolf Tate. She has never wanted another man but him. Not that her father would let any man get close. Then one night she is stolen from her bed by Wolf. And everything he tells her once he kidnapps her she doesn’t believe. So there’s only one thing she can do, escape. But at the same time she must protect her father from Wolf.
Wolfs end game is to take out Olivia’s Dad. And he will stop at nothing to do just that. Even if it means using Olivia as a means to an end. But playing with fire someone’s bound to get burned.
I loved reading the exciting third book in the Tate Brothers series. I voluntarily reviewed a book through NetGalley. While Wolf is working undercover for an arms dealer, he kidnaps Olivia de Santis. Even when Wolf's cover is blown protecting Olivia, both of them still have a connection with each other. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of mystery, intrigue, heartbreak, and intrigue, and a must read love story.
Favorite one so far!!! What an emotional roller coaster! The ending will tie you up in knots and leave your heart racing. I loved this book! Wolf's story was the one I wanted the most and it just blew me away. Going on my keep shelf for sure.
This is the third book in the series, and I am assuming it is the last since this is the third and last Tate brother. This is Wolf's story, and if you are familiar with this series, and I seriously hope you started from book one the Dangerous billionaire (Van's story) you remember how the last book ended (the Wicked Billionaire-Lucas story), with how we found out that Wolf was working for the evil Desantis. We were all freaking out, atleast I know I was, however I kept telling myself it could not be true, he could not be betraying his foster brothers. So was he? well my friends you need to read. The only thing I kind of wished I would have been able to read was Olivia's getting to know her half sister Chloe..
Wolf Tate is the emotional, hot tempered Tate brother. He was raised to be his adoptive fathers weapon. He has been training all his life to take Caesar de Santis down. When Wolf’s father dies, he and his brothers are left letters. Wolf’s had that Noah Tate was really his father and as soon as Caesar was killed, he’d get a letter telling where his mother is. So he kidnaps Caesar’s daughter Olivia. She is his personal assistant and he wants her to give him her father’s schedule. Olivia has been the good, dutiful daughter to her father. She and Wolf had been friends for years but is hurt when she learns it was all lies.
Wolf and Olivia both have been hurt by family. The only thing both wants is to be loved. Can they find it in each other or will Wolf destroy any feelings Olivia had for him?
My favorite book in this series. Extremely sexy. A little mystery. Lots of sex. And a great story.
