This is the story of Gracie who is in a car crash and forgets everything about her life. Her best friends tell her bits, but Gracie doesn't want to know much - she doesn't want to know about Blake, her fiance or her job or any of her life except her mom!

What follows is a heart breaking story of a girl trying to find out who she is and making a new life while finding her childhood home. Beautifully written, it is a fab love story and not just relationships - but also a love of flowers and nature. Set in Australia, but not in the normal typical places.. the journey has you falling into each page`-taking in the description of place and people, making you never want to put the book down - but also never wanting it o end! loved every page

Amnesia is such a fascinating subject. The Heroine, Gracie, suffers from it after a car accident. A story rich with emotion; love, heartbreak, loss, and most important discovery! Excellent story!

When Gracie and her Fiancé Blake are driving to her best friend Scarlet’s birthday meal, they are arguing when they have a car crash.

When Gracie wakes up at the Hospital, she has no recollection of who she is or that her and Blake are about to marry in a few months time, which is scary as she has no memories of her and Blake together. He is a total stranger to her!!

Gracie decides that rather than friends and family telling her what her life was like before the accident, she needs to get away. She goes to the flower farm that she inherited from her mother. Gracie has some recollection of being happy there and feeling joy working with the flowers.

Beautifully written, the story of Amnesia was told in a very understanding and compassionate way. We look at how difficult it is for the family and for the victim, who has to learn how to cook and do her shoelaces up again. I felt every emotion reading this, I smiled, laughed and had a tear in my eye at the end.

Can you fall in love with the same person twice? That question I can not answer. But YES you will fall in love with this book!!

Memories of Us is a stop and think book. What would I do if this happened to me? Gracie is in a car accident with her boyfriend and they have a terrible car crash which leads to Gracie having severe amnesia. Our journey from there as the reader is to follow Gracie as she makes power choices and we see if she finds “herself” again.

Gracie Ashcroft was a likeable character from the start, I loved how strong she was in her determination not to be told who she used to be. Flowers are a beautiful character in the book. I learned so much about them and I could smell them in my head as I read. It was a unique factor and extremely clever to include them.

I found sometimes, there was some repetitiveness throughout the book and I did feel that the side storylines which contained some fragile topics, were not tied up properly at the end. For me, the ending felt all a bit rushed.

Overall a dive in read for summer, you will laugh, cry and come away with a deep appreciation for all flowers.

I really enjoyed my evening with Gracie and her efforts to take charge of her life. The thing about the 'amnesia trope' is that if it is well written, it can be repeated multiple times. This book falls under that category. It is written well with very vivid descriptions of the places and relationships (especially the landscapes, emotions and the flowers!). This lets a predictable storyline feel like a treat to read. I read it in one sitting, shed multiple tears with it and still managed to finish it before dinner ( having started reading only a few hours earlier). I do not know exactly why I did not get to this book sooner, the only possible reason could be that I overlooked it at some point and it got buried.

Gracie is in a car having an argument with her fiance when there is an accident. She wakes up with no memories. She even struggles with routine tasks, things she should have been good at before the accident( this was slightly unique when compared to other stories of this ilk) . The only person she ends up seeing before she 'runs' away  is her best friend who is now a stranger to her. She decides (stubbornly) to figure out her likes and dislikes without being told about them. This also means her upcoming wedding is no longer something that she is looking forward to. What follows next is the journey of self discovery, most importantly of her feelings and what ties her to her Blake ( if anything at all). I read it sitting next to the view of lightning and rains at my window and though it is not a requirement, it definitely helped set the mood for me to relish reading 'The Memories of Us'. I did not give it a full five stars only because I saw what was happening too early, the people behaved oddly in some scenarios which I just could not fathom.

I really enjoyed this book - it is a poignant and moving story of how life can change in an instant. It is an emotional and heartfelt read which I couldn't put down. I can't imagine what it would be like to completely lose your memory and how you could carry on. I loved the author's style of writing which kept me reading late into the night to find out what would happen. I really liked the flower farm - what an idyllic location, it sounds the perfect place to live and work.

A story of new beginnings, love, friendship and second chances. I didn't expect the ending but really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

This is a sweet love story at its core about the loss of love through a loss of memory Gracie has been in a terrible accident with her fiancé and lost her memory . She cannot remember him so she decides to leave him and move on. Her friends and family are determined to get them back together no matter what Gracie wants but she is ready to move on. She is changed by the accident and feels she will never be the same .
This is a sweet story and touching. Gracie remains steadfastly independent in spite of everyone around her trying to control her. She is recovering from complete loss of memory and wants nothing to do with her former life.
This was a well written story and I like the characters and premises of the story.

Thank you for the ARC which does not influence my review.

The Memories of Us is such a heart warming book that stays with you long after you have finished reading.

Gracie has lost her memory after a road traffic accident and is on a journey to discover who she is.

A remarkable account of fear, frustration, loneliness and love.

Can Gracie make peace with what happened and who she is now.

An intriguing tale that had me hooked.

Very Exciting!

In 'The Memories Of Us' (alternate title: The Memories That Make Us), Vanessa Carnevale spins a brilliant romantic tale of a woman who loses her memory and with it, the man she was planning to marry and the future she always wanted.

Gracie wants to learn about herself and her life on her own terms. She doesn't want to hear about it, she doesn't know if she can just trust anybody to deliver her the full truth. So, she opts to learn it first-hand. That means leaving behind the well-meaning friends who want to help.

This is a real page-turner, of the non-thriller variety. Though there are some surprises along the way! I enjoyed the characters and how they all dealt with their personal conflict. And, I could definitely understand Gracie's desire to figure it out by herself after all, no one knows you better than you know yourself.

The big spoiler was an excellent one, I guessed it exactly halfway and it was eventually confirmed. Carnevale wrote such a gem of a romance, from the beginning pages you have high hopes for the book and she truly pulled it off through to the end. A satisfying ending. I also think fans of gardening and anything botany-related will have a lot of fun with this one. There's all these flowers' names mentioned, nature's wisdom and it really makes you want to get planting... Just, after one more chapter, of course.

I received this book through NetGalley.

I thought this was a very cute book. It was an easy read, I was able to read it one afternoon. I liked that the book wasn't overly heavy and yet still made you want to keep reading.
I think anyone that needs a break from their normal genre of book would be happy with this little gem. While predictable I loved the sweet story of finding love twice with the same person.

It’s very rare that you read a book that you know will stay with you, and this book is one of them. A must read for everyone

This wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I found the amnesia aspect to be very interesting. It made me think.

This is a brilliant five star, modern, feelgood, summer romance. Gracie and her fiance Bryce were in a car crash and Gracie has lost her memory. She vaguely remembers her mother and spending time on a flower farm. She discovers that her mother died a year ago and left the flower farm to her. Gracie decides to leave her friends and fiance, that she hasn't had the courage to meet. She moves to the flower farm and settles down meeting new friends. Read on!

I loved this book!! The cover is beautiful, which caught my eye but the story and characters just drew me in. I knew I was going to love the book after the first chapter. I loved the writing style. I felt I was right there there with Gracie. All the talk about flowers and the descriptions were amazing. I made me wish for bouquets of peonies, tulips and sweet peas.

Gracie wakes up in the hospital after a car accident and has no memory. She doesn't recognize anyone, and doesn't even know her own name or anything about herself. Even scarier, Gracie has a fiancé who is now a total stranger to her and they are to be wed in a few months. Gracie doesn't want to see anyone or hear anything about her past and only talks to her best friend Scarlett. Gracie ends up moving to her mom's old flower farm. Flowers are the only things bringing her happiness and she wants to find out who she truly is instead of the person she once was. At the farm, Gracie welcomes help from Tilly and Charlie. She also meets Flynn. Gracie feels conflicted because she doesn't want to cheat on Blake even though she has no memory of him.

I never saw that coming when everything is finally revealed!!! It made me love the book even more. Definitely a surprise, one that was very well played. This book was a fun read. I definitely recommend it and can't wait to read more by the author!!!

Thanks to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author, Vanessa Carnevale, for a free electronic ARC of this novel.

The book opens with Gracie and Blake in a car on their way to a party, but they never make it. They are involved in a car crash that results in Gracie losing her memory. The rest of the story involves her trying to piece her life back together again.

She ends up leaving Melbourne and heading to the flower farm in Daylesford where she grew up with her mother. It is as she spends time at the farm that she comes to realise what is important to her. But there are twists and turns along the way as she struggles to settle with her life as it has turned out.

Utterly loved this book and devoured it quickly.

I loved this story and so I was sorry when I got to the end. And as I've mentioned the ending so early on, let me just say that it was a satisfying one.

The theme of this story is amnesia, and whilst amnesia isn't anything new, I liked Carnevale's take on it. Gracie didn't even want to try to get to know her life before the accident. She wanted to remember on her own terms and so she left Melbourne to go to her home town of Summerhill, where she hoped to resurrect her mother's old flower farm. And that's where she met Flynn.

I loved the details surrounding the flowers, and I really liked Flynn. The twist that follows - I have to say I'd already suspected - but again it was a little bit different.

I really warmed to Gracie and enjoyed her story of how she got to know herself again. The bit about her not being able to tie her shoelaces was endearing.

I can highly recommend this book. :)

A positively lovely read. I fell in love with Gracie. She was so real, and genuine, despite not being able to remember anything about her life prior to a devastating accident. I loved the grit and determination she displayed as she tried to rebuild her life. Her relationships with the other characters were very well depicted. And there’s a couple of twists at the end that I didn’t see coming. I was sad to see this one end.

Beautiful story. When Gracie loses her memory she moves to her mother's house to try and work out what is important in her life. This story is about love, friendship, fate and second chances. It is beautifully told and has a twist that I did not see coming. I want to sit and read it all over again. I would definitely recommend this book and I will be looking out for more books by this author.

What happens after you lose your memory? Are you still same person? If you have no memory of your friend or the man you love, will you still like them as your friend and will you still fall in love with the same guy?
These are the questions that Gracie has when she has total amnesia after a car crash. In the hospital she accepts that the woman at her bedside,Scarlett, is her best friend. She refuses to see Blake who she is told is her fiancé.
Gracie doesn't know who she is or what she likes and she doesn't want to be told what to think, she wants to find out for herself. The only memory to come into her head is the names of flowers and how to grow them. When Gracie is told that her mother died a year ago and that Gracie was in the process of selling her house which has a flower farm attached to it Grace knows that she has to go there, back to where she grew up to find the answers she needs to remember her lost past.
I enjoyed this book and the journey Gracie goes on to make a new life for herself. There is a good twist which some people might see earlier than me and it fitted nicely into the story.
