This is book 2 in the Trilogy and begins right where Book 1 ended. Henry and Elaine have escaped the island and are back in New York starting their family. The dangers they left on the island have followed them back to New York though and they are returned to the island against their will. Joining them is Henry's sister Louisa who was duped by Judas the pirate who wants his treasure back. On the island she finds her own romance with a reformed pirate Frederic. Once again the story is a quick read but all the running around the island got repetitive. The island is rather crowded this time. I did not understand why Henry would steal the treasure and then hide it in such an obvious place. The baby also seems to be an afterthought during the story. Apparently the newborn is fine on her own in New York with no family. It is a quick light read. Once again this book ends on a cliffhanger. These stories do need to be read in order.
