I liked the future JL kids in the plot, but either something about the artwork or the plot/pacing left me mixed.

ARC from Netgalley. 3.5 Stars.
The premise of this Volume is simple. In the future, a "Darkness" has infected the world and destroyed much, including the Justice League. The children of the Justice League (who obviously have powers) come back in time to try to prevent that from happening. They meet up with their parents and it goes from there. The "Justice Legacy" is:
1) Cruise (Nora Allen) - speedster daughter of Barry Allen and Jessica Cruz
2 & 3) Lanterns (Jason and Jenny Allen) - twin children of Barry and Jessica, use Lantern abilities without Power Rings, glow with the color they are using, primarily Green, but can use any power of the emotional spectrum
4) Cube (George Marvin Stone) - son of Cyborg. DNA is 50% human, 50% nanotech, same powers
5) Hunter Prince - son of Wonder Woman, has her powerset, was spured by her and raised a younger brother to Jon under Clark and Lois
6) Serenity (Eldoris Curry) - daughter of Aquaman and Mera, same powers as them both

The action is good and the art is ok, but the story seems a little cookie-cutter, and though I really like the kids from the future (enough to want to see them again), the "Darkness" is too vague and odd of a villain. Recommend, but only if the premise is interesting to you.

A surprisingly good duff-em-up episode, with heart and what passes for a moral in modern comics. It takes some time to get up to speed with what's happening, especially with gaps in the past trades and/or memory, but by the time thousands of punches have been thrown it's all worked out to be one of the best Rebirth books out. No, that's not as much praise as it should be, of course it isn't – but this is worth the purchase.

A visit from the future generally does not bode well, especially when it is a group of children coming back to confront their parents over sins they will commit. But that is what happens in "Legacy." Super kids coming back to try to fix the past so their future does not happen. But at the end of the book, it is not clear that the problem has been totally solved. Interesting look at a possible future though.

So this is what all the stupid stuff with the Kindred has led to? Black lightning that turns you evil? Like that hasn't been done a gazillion times. The overall story isn't bad, it just doesn't hold up to much scrutiny. The beginning of the book was very confusing. It's set in the future with what is obviously supposed to be the JL's children. But they keep referring to each other by first name, so it's very difficult to tell who each character is talking to. Of course when the JL appears, all the members get labeled even though we all know who is in the Justice League. But the kids who we don't know who they are? Nada. The kids with the powers of all the colors of the light spectrum of the Lanterns didn't really make sense. How would someone wearing a single colored power ring be able to impart those powers to their children? The best moments were the character moments between the JL and their children. Hitch just isn't a good enough writer to do much more than that. The character designs for the children were very good.

'Justice League, Vol. 5: Legacy' by Bryan Hitch collects Justice League #26-31 and has an interesting premise. It just doesn't hold up to much scrutiny. I still liked it though.

The children of the Justice League come from the future to try to save their present. Some are a mishmash of powers because of dual parenting, but they all have similar powers to the current Justice League. There is confusion on the Justice League's part and a bit of anger to be dealt with on the kid's part before the oncoming threat is addressed.

The ending felt like it got wrapped up a bit too easily, and the whole thing felt like a pretty tenuous concept, but I loved the idea of this group of kids from the future, and I kind of hope they show up again at some point. The art by Fernando Pasarin is pretty good with a few very cool shots throughout. I just wish the threat and resolution had been a bit more solid.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

The Rebirth Justice League Vol. 5: Legacy brings to a close Bryan Hitch's 30-plus-issue run on Justice League, impressive for the extent to which Hitch told one related story over these six volumes (including Justice League America: Power and Glory). The children of the Justice League introduced here are a hoot, certainly capable of carrying their own series, and Hitch delivers some great character moments in the middle as the present League confronts their future. Fernando Pasarin brings an extra level of detail that reminds of Hitch himself. Bryan Hitch's Justice League run has been exciting, nicely drawn, and yes, "widescreen."

Ah, yet another 'kids from the future' Justice League comic. This time there's a darkness that they've been fighting for most of their lives. So they come back in time, supposedly to see their parents, but, do they also have another motivation?

I liked seeing the new combinations of powers of these second generation heroes, although I didn't love all the pairings that made up the new generation. I was also a little bummed by Simon's part in the story. Then again, it's Time Travel (and DC Comics) so this doesn't have to be the future either (phew)

I liked this Justice League, and maybe/hopefully this will be the end of the Kindred story line.

I received this book via Netgalley thanks to DC Entertainment.

Justice League Vol. 5: Legacy has one of the best stories I have come across in a graphic novel. The Justice League's children travel back in time to try and save the world- hinting that one of the Justice League members may be the cause of the future destruction of the world. Adrenaline pumping intrigue and action make the story. Happy reunions and surprise meetings evolve into something darker and more sinister. Startling enemies and treacherous plots keep the Justice League on their toes. Sometimes it takes a little help from the next generation to save the world. The art brings the story to life in glaring detail for an excellent read. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

Really liked this story and the art. I always like to see what the future generation of heroes are like. These kids were pretty cool. I would read more about their adventures if it ever came out. Nicely wrapped up in the end, except Batman's anti-JL arsenal. Guess they'll come to that in future issues. Great read

Past and present collide. Old and new brought together through an interesting storyline, one I'm sure people of these superheros will enjoy. I'm new to this world, and appreciated the effort. Especially the effort around Green Lantern. I loved his look, amazing.
