Love’s Challenge is a beautifully written inspirational romance. Loved this book the plot, characters and the author’s writing. I highly recommend this book

This was a beautiful gem of a story about a young couple in a small town, and the love they share which sustains them through the harsh times of war and loss and life's struggles. Laura Beth and Joey begin with the world at their feet, happily in love and a well-planned-out future ahead of them. But life is not all sunshine and roses, and rarely works out the way we want it to. When Joey is unexpectedly drafted, plans turn upside-down. But they won't sacrifice their love even in uncertain times and fear, or the sorrows that walk hand-in-hand with the joys.

The author works in subtle descriptions into an old-charm town and family life that transports the readers into the story. This isn't your typical boy-meets-girl-they-get-married-and-live-happily-ever-after-the-end story. This is sweet romance in the midst of real life hardships and pain, and a love that will press through and triumph.

I loved the family interactions—how family is so important. The faith/religion side of the story is light, not preachy. My heart went out to both Laura and Joe and the trials they suffered through. Some heartbreak brought me near tears. But there were smiles from moments of joy too!

I really enjoyed this story, although be prepared that about 50% through, the story begins skipping months in leaps and bounds, giving it a pace feeling too fast at times. There are kissing and touching as far as the romance is concerned, but no sex scenes and no explicit material.

I would recommend this story to any reader who enjoys romance and historical fiction and just good old-fashioned charm, whether you are of the Christian faith or not, this is a story that will touch you and pull at your heartstrings.

I received a free digital copy of this book through NetGalley from the publisher in exchange for an honest review!

I received an arc from Netgalley. This short love story is one of love, forgiveness and faith. It teaches you that no matter what, you need to be there for each other and forgive each other and definitely to lean on one another in hard times.
No matter what was thrown at Joey and Laura Beth their love and faith got them through trying times.
Definitely a short story I would recommend. 4.5 stars
