Upfront I must admit I’m not sure how to rate this book. The book is well-written for the most part, has interesting characters, and a unique plot. However, I found many times that there was just too much detail/information in places, there just wasn’t enough of a lead-in from the first book, and I was confused in a few places. If you have read the first one, I think you should read this one. And, if you haven’t read the first one, please do before reading this one. 3 ½ stars. Recommend with asterisks! The plot was rushed, the writing felt tired. Not the best book in the world. And I was so excited, too, because of the author's credentials in storytelling.
