Received in exchange for a honest review.

I found this one in the series to be the most intriguing of all. Why? We have a man who comes off as cold hearted showing he truly has a heart and giving Keira what she has always craved-love, respect and freedom. Freedom to choose even when she didn’t think he was. Freedom to be herself and freedom to just be. He showed her she was stronger than she believed and that he had faith in her. She was his equal and that was something that she didn’t have before.

Her father was terrible to her and her brother loved her but kept her feeling stifled and imprisoned. She was a hot mess and even though his methods weren’t the greatest, Dmitri managed to turn her around and get her to see who she could be and not as a weak person but an asset and someone to love and cherish.

Dmitri was a great character. His push and pull with the O’Malleys was fascinating as was how Keira was able to see past his exterior and get him to give his word and she really made an effort to keep it. He didn’t rule with an iron fist but with cunning and this Keira found really attractive. Unfortunately at the time when him and Keira were feeling each other out outside forces were pulling at Dmitri and threatening his position.

And even though this was happening Dmitri always took time to lavish Keira and understand her. He included her in what was happening, treated her as an equal and was forthcoming about things. He took the time to be there for her and show her his support and faith in her. When things were going hell in a hand basket he brings her on dates and just focuses on her.

The danger in this book was captivating because it was subtle in how it was written and you didn’t know when things were going to go awry and that kept you entranced in the book. You didn’t know if Keira’s family and Dmitri would broker peace, if Keira would stay safe or even if Dmitri would. All the way this was happening we watched the relationship between Keira and DMitri grow. We see them explore their attraction (smoking attraction) and figure out their own feelings. Even with that we still got some great sarcastic banter and at first Keira really worked Dmitri on things it was entertaining.

Dmitri and Keira are great characters and keep you entertained and rooting for them. There are twists and turns that you don’t expect and the betrayal was wow not the one I expected for sure. Watching the families figure out how to work together and begin to respect each other was a wonderful weave into the plot so was seeing Keira face her past and have Dmitri right there with her supporting and loving her the whole way.

A great sensual read with wonderful sarcasm and a love that evolves and grows as the danger increases and the couple becomes who they are meant to be while protecting one another and their family.

The final installment in the wonderful O'Malley series and it's a doozy. Excellent writing and storytelling. Dmitri is such a dynamic and compelling character. Keira is a unique and remarkable character. I simply couldn't put my tablet down. Wrapping things up between the two is certainly a great ending to the O'Malley series. I liked how the story finally wrapped up in the end.

Wow.

Reading the rest of the books in this series, I would have never guessed that Keira and Dmitri's book would have even been in contention for series favorite. Dmitri always seemed so cold, so hard...such an evil bad guy. Sure, his interactions with Keira in the last few books was intriguing, but she was so damaged and hell-bent on self destruction, surely their relationship--and therefore their book--would be a disaster?

So. Wrong.

This book grabbed me from the first page and wouldn't let go. From the first few chapters when their relationship seemed rather doomed until Keira came into her own as temporary de facto leader of the Romanovs because of...reasons, I couldn't put this one down. Dmitri and Keira are absolutely made for each other, even if it took them more than half of the book to realize and accpet it. Getting glimpses of the lives the other O'Malley siblings are living along the way was pretty much the icing on one heck of a delicious cake.

The O'Malley series is one that really should be read in order, because each story builds on the one before it and there are many threads which weave in and out of all the books, culminating in the events that take place in this one. So, no--this is not the book to start with. Yes, you'd probably be able to follow along with what is happening just fine and it is a story all on its own, but trust me, you won't be satisfied with knowing just Keira and Dmitri's tale.

I'm sad to see this series end, but anxious to find out where Ms. Roberts will take us next!

4.25 stars--THE BASTARD’S BARGAIN is the sixth (and final?) instalment in Katee Robert’s contemporary, adult THE O’MALLEYS erotic, mafia, romantic suspense series focusing on three warring underground families of the Boston’s Irish mob (O’Malleys, Hallorans & Sheridans), the Russian mafia run by the Romanov family, and new contenders for the Boston territory Alethea and Mae Eldridge. This is the head of the New York Russian mob Dimitri Romanov, and youngest O’Malley sibling Keira O’Malley’s story line. THE BASTARD’S BARGAIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion as there is a continuing theme running throughout, as well as Dimitri and Keira’s story beginning several instalments earlier.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dimitri and Keira) THE BASTARD’S BARGAIN focuses on the ongoing contemptuous relationship between Dimitri Romanov, and Keira O’Malley. Dimitri has fallen for the youngest O’Malley sibling, a woman whose struggles are evident since the mob murder of her beloved brother months before. Hoping to broker an alliance between families, Dimitri makes Keira an offer she cannot refuse. Now married to the head of the New York Russian mob, Keira will begin a slow ascent to power but not before she must face her demons one day at a time. What ensues is the enemies to friends to lovers romance between Dimitri and Keira, and the potential fall out as the Eldridge family seek to gain power over them all.

Throughout the series the warring mobs factions have been at one another’s throats: from death threats, to romantic alliances, the O’Malleys find themselves in bed with their one-time enemies. Dimitri’s attraction to Keira comes at a time when another family encroaches on the divided territories. Betrayal will place our leading couple in the direct line of fire.

The relationship between Keira and Dimitri is acrimonious at best as Keira battles for control of her life. Dimitri is protective of the woman with whom he will fall in love but the O’Malleys have laid down the law letting Dimitri know that nothing will stop them if Keira comes to harm. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense; there are some scenes of anal play that may not be suitable for all readers.

Once again, there are a large number of secondary and supporting characters including most of the O’Malley clan: Teague and Callista O’Malley (The Marriage Contract #1): James Halloran and Carrigan O’Malley (The Wedding Pact #2); Olivia and Cillian O’Malley (An Indecent Proposal #3) ; hired man Mark Neale; and Charlotte’s father FBI agent John Finch; Mae Eldridge and her daughter Alethea. WE are introduced to Dimitri’s second in command Pavel, as well as members of his security team Mikhail and Alexei; and his cousin Ivan and his wife Natasha.

THE BASTARD’S BARGAIN is a provocative and exhilarating finale to a thrilling series involving several families fighting for control of the Boston and New York areas. The premise is intelligent, spirited and fascinating; the characters are lively, colorful and sassy; the romance is passionate and emotional. THE BASTARD’S BARGAIN is a sensual and suspense filled story of family, betrayal, enemies and love.

Keira and Dmitri's story was one of my most anticipated reads this year, and it definitely lived up to expectations! Keira makes her choice and finally finds herself again with the help of her sexy Russian. These two are just as hot as I had hoped and I absolutely devoured this book!

After her brother Devlin's death, Keira sunk into depression, turning to alcohol and drugs as she tried to escape the pain and spiraled out if control. Now she is lost to addiction and has given up her art which was going to be her passport to a different life. Growing up trapped under the thumb of her cruel and power-hungry father, she thought at one point that she could fight her way free only to realize that in the end, there is no escaping family duty. Now Dmitri Romanov needs to marry an O'Malley and she is the last viable option since her sisters all found love and married different men. No doubt she is drawn to the sexy Russian, but she knows she is going from one cage to another.

Dmitri doesn't treat her like a child and sees her potential despite her choice to act like the petulant child her family treated her as. He loves her spirit and her unpredictability as much as it scares him but when coupled with the haze of alcohol and drugs, it makes her a liability. Once she gets through the forced detox and is seeing the world clearly again, she is furious that yet again another man made choices based on what he thought was best for her without giving her a choice but she can't deny she is feeling more herself than she has in years- and that may or may not be a good thing. Dmitri is the forbidden and a challenge, a monster and her savior all in one sexy package and she certainly doesn't plan to make his life easy.

Their wary dance is conducted against the backdrop of the Eldridges final power play which puts Keira strictly in the psychopath Mae's crosshairs, inspiring true fear in Dmitri for the first time he can remember in years. The sexual tension is off the charts, and once they finally give in and find some even ground, Keira realizes that when Dima tells her he wants her to be the queen to king, he actually means it. Seeing her embrace her role and take back her life was amazing! She is every bit as adventurous as he is, and she is all in when it comes to stepping into the role as the Romanov queen particularly when Mae makes her bold final move. That's not to say that Keira's family accepts it easily but I loved the way that Ms. Robert brought the family full circle. I am going to miss this series immensely but The Bastard's Bargain was more than a fitting finale.

The Bastard’s Bargain was the book I couldn’t wait for from Katee Robert! It’s also the book I didn’t expect from her, and the book I had hoped for. Did you get all that?! I have loved every minute of the thrill ride that has been this O’Malley Series, and no character did I dislike more from his first introduction than Dimitri Romanov. Skip ahead to the first time he and Kiera have an encounter, at this point I’m seeing Kiera spinning out of control and thinking Dimitri is going to take advantage or hurt her. But nyet. This guy saves her more than once, he’s obviously attracted but I could never get where it’s going. So imagine my surprise and utter delight as Katee crafts his and Kiera’s story. Everything. Yes everything I’ve loved about this series is present! Suspense, snark, heat and attraction, secrets, broken spirits and love. Yep all bases covered. I absolutely loved these two together! Dimitri sees Kiera. He sees her broken, he sees her beauty, he sees what she could be. Kiera too begins to see past the “gentleman-murderer” persona to the beautiful heart of Dimi. The only thing missing was more; I really wished there had been an epilogue!! Gonna miss this series!!

What a way to wrap up this series! Katee Robert delivered another intense and gritty read in her O’Malley series that is filled with all the emotion, heat, and suspense I’ve come to expect.

I was a bit unsure going into this one – Keira hadn’t shown much of who she was and I wasn’t sure how she would be able to stand up to Dmitri now that she would be forced to play in his world. But I must say, I absolutely loved the way her character developed and came into her own. From owning her shit to calling Dmitri on his, she was the perfect queen in the Romanov kingdom. It wasn’t an easy or pretty path that Ms. Robert paved for her, but it was the only path that could lead to what I must say was a masterful end.

From the fantastic dialogue and worldbuilding to the emotional depth and development of her characters, Ms. Robert has woven a story and series that delivered everything I love when I open a book. The pacing is fast at times and the romance even faster, but every element works together to deliver a top notch story and series, one that has become one of my favorites.

Although this book can be read as a standalone, because each previous book in the series has been building to this conclusion I would recommend starting from the beginning – and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed in any of the books in this series.

Another great read and one I highly recommend to anyone who likes some edge and a whole lot of heat in their romance.

This was a fantastic ending to a wonderful series. The slow build-up of Dmitri Romanov and Keira O’Malley’s relationship throughout the series was intriguing and I was waiting for their story. They both are passionate people and their connection was explosive. Not to mention that this story was a nail-biter all the way through.

Dmitri Romanov is not a good man, he is by no means a likeable hero. In fact he is the perfect anti-hero, a villain, a cold-blooded killer, a dangerous and volatile loner, you name it. And he doesn’t apologize for who he is. He has his own code of honor though, and will stop antagonizing Aiden O’Malley if Keira gives in to his manipulation and accepts to tie the knot with him. But Dmitri is not all powerful in this story and this is changing him in a good way. It’s obvious that he has a lot of weight on his shoulders, he is distracted by his insane attraction to Keira and there is a traitor in his organization. Dmitri is a character I could sympathize with, he is totally flawed and yet his flaws make him endearing.

Since her brother was murdered, Keira has been losing control of her life. She is a drug and alcohol addict, she feels helpless and emotionally numb. Her family has neither been able to comfort her nor save her from herself. Her relationship with Dmitri is complex, she is defiant, enjoys driving him past the point of control and questions his motivations for marrying her. And yet, their mutual attraction is undeniable and their agreement is mutually beneficial. He married her to secure his power, she married him to keep her family safe. Dmitri is a dangerous combination of sexy and murderous and Keira is afraid he will become her next addiction. I loved how singularly focused on Keira he was, how she could lean on him, how he simply understood her.

Dmitri and Keira have a target on their back, their relationship was tested but together they are a force to reckon with. Their story of true love was addicting, their chemistry was combustible. These characters took me on a wild ride filled with passion, angst and danger. I just adored this book, it was a great conclusion to an amazing series! Although this book could be read as a standalone, it is best to read this series in order to follow with the plot and the main characters.

Trigger warning: grief, alcoholism, violence
Rating: 4.5 stars

This is the sixth book in The O'Malleys series, but the first I've read. That maaaay have been a mistake. I thought it might be like other romance series, where there are references to some previous characters and events, but the story itself is contained for the most part. Nope. You are better off reading this as part of a series, as I learned when I was completely confused for the first chapter or two. Even once I'd gotten into this story, there were references to other characters and previous events that kept me from fully enjoying the narrative.

That being said, I did actually enjoy this! This is one for those of you who like organised crime families, darkness, and power plays. The relationship between Dmitri and Keira can be very aptly described as love-hate, with all that anger and attempts to control each other infused with heavy doses of lust. There was SO MUCH ANGST, especially with Keira's grief and need to escape from everyone trying to control her. So if you're a fan of dark emotions, this is one for you. Of course, things did warm up with all the heat between the two, and it was addictive to read through to the end.

In the real world, I would hate the way Dmitri talks of owning and controlling his wife, but Keira fights Dmitri constantly, trying to claw back her life. I loved one heated moment of angry sex where Dmitri plays the classic "mine" card, which is often seen as a Hot thing in other books; however, this is a word Keira hates, not wanting to be thought of as a possession, so she stops all the fun right then and there. I wanted to stand up and applaud. For all the talk of control in this book, it really did come down to choice. And personal power. Keira really came into her own in this book, and I loved it.

As for the non-relationship plot happening, that was pretty twisted and intense, too. But... I knew who wasn't to be trusted right after the idea was suggested. Either it wasn't that surprising or I'm psychic. I'd like to think it's the latter.

Overall, a great story about taking back your life while also learning to relinquish control and trust others. Oh, and it was sexy af.

I have been with this series since the beginning. Ms. Katee Robert has been a favorite author for a long while and her move into one of my favorite genres was a thrill. She has done it proud. I have anticipated Dimitri and Keira's book for about 2 books now! The tension has been so strung so tight and ready to explode-- in so many different ways! This book, maybe because I anticipated it so much for so long or what but it seems like it has been one of the hottest Katee books I have ever read. This is not a standalone so a reader needs to read them in order. This book picks up where book 5 leaves off.

Kiera is one of those heroines that you can't help but absolutely love and at the same time want to shake because you know she is better than she is acting. She hides her pain and fears in chemicals. Demitri didn't like that before and now that he has her this book is full of fireworks. On top of their heat is the great action and suspense. This book really has it all. I couldn't have asked for better. I really wished we had a complete ending and can only hope that book 7 or a novella will take care of this. I very highly recommend this book and most definitely this series.

Dmitri was promised the bride he needed however when the one he was promised is no longer available he decides to take the next sister in line, Keira, and deal with the consequences later. They are quickly married before either of their families are aware but that is only part of the problem.

Since Keira’s brother was killed three years ago she has dealt with her grief by abusing alcohol and drugs. Although her family did not step in to get her the help she needed Dmitri is not about to stand by and watch her suffer any longer. He will ensure that she beats her addictions and he will show her that she is only one he wants.

He helps her gain back her life and her art and the strength they draw from each other have made them a powerful team but when danger strikes will Keira be strong enough to do what needs to be done or will she revert to her previous way of dealing with the obstacles that life throws at us?

Dmitri was the strong protective man you always knew that he would be to those he loved but Keira’s transformation from being unable to handle the stress of life to the strong woman she became was amazing to watch. I will miss this family but with this book the author ensured that they will not be easily forgotten. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

After reading Undercover Attraction I couldn't wait to get my hands on Dmitri's and Keira's book. I loved their interactions and the way they both knew how to make the other stop, think and feel had me drooling for The Bastard's Bargain.

And now having read their book, I can honestly say The Bastard's Bargain by Katee Robert is everything I was hoping for and more. I didn't want it to end! *sobs*

These two have that something special that comes along very rarely and if you're lucky to find that special someone who can see deep into your soul and just get you? yeah you know you've hit the jackpot.
Then add the awesome, well written plot that had the perfect amount of drama, romance and steam what more can a reader ask for?

For me, The Bastard's Bargain was sheer perfection. The storyline kept me turning the pages, I loved how we got to revisit with all the O'Malleys and watching them come to a truce when it comes to our loved ones made me a very happy reader.
Life was never going to be drama free for this family, but if you have the love and support of your family and your soulmate standing next to you, life is good.

The O'Malleys series has been such a joy to read, each book has been entertaining and each couple has touched me with their story.

Bravo & thank you Katee Robert for writing and sharing your O'Malleys with us <3

What’s it About? As the youngest O’Malley child, Keira had dreams that her life would be drastically different than the future laid out for her as a member of one of the most powerful crime families. But as an adult she has to face reality and that reality is Dmitri Romanov, head of the Romanov family in New York City. She agreed to marry him in order to secure peace between him and her family. Mutual desire notwithstanding, Dmitri knows better than to give in to Keira much less underestimate her. He’s in the middle of a war with his enemies and can’t afford to let his wife distract him. He knows Keira could be a powerful ally or a dangerous enemy, the problem is figuring out which without losing himself completely to her.

Overall reaction to the story? I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with myself now that this series is at an end. I can't think of a better, more complex couple than Dmitri and Keira to end the series with. These two had their work cut out for them because "enemies" doesn't even begin to cover what they are to each other. I couldn't get enough of this sexy couple, nor could I get enough of Katee Robert's way of putting together an amazing story within several complex and dangerous crime families. Robert makes you cheer for these characters that should technically be considered monsters, yet have somehow been humanized on the most basic levels, making them relatable and dare I say likable?

Yes, I dare say likable. Because I liked Keira and Dmitri.

Describe the hero in five words: Ruthless. Calculating. Generous. Intelligent. Charismatic
Did you like him? Yes.
Why? Keira’s nickname for him is The Gentleman Murderer and it suits him. Dmitri is one ruthless S.O.B but he isn’t without limits and I found those limits surprising given how he’s been playing his hand when it comes to maintaining control over his territory. He has a strategic way of thinking and is almost always in control of his emotions. So imagine how incredibly revealing, not to mention refreshing it was to see him kind of lose it whenever it comes to Keira. The mask of mob boss slips and he becomes shockingly human. He was just a man falling in love with his wife and he didn’t know what to do about it at first. There’s a devastating charm about Dmitri that to me and I’m sure many other readers, is irresistible. I mean, this guy WILL kill his enemies without a backwards glance. He’ll steal, manipulate, blackmail, and threaten to get his way and I won’t say that he isn’t a criminal but he has a raw sexuality that is all but impossible to ignore.

Describe the heroine in five words: Dangerous. Wounded. Talented. Intelligent. Fierce.
Did you like her? Yes.
Why? Keira is hands down the most complicated of the O’Malley family. Losing the brother that saw her for who she wanted to be crushed her and she lost herself in drugs, alcohol and sex but it never diminished that strength that made her a force to be reckoned with. I never doubted that she’d be able to handle herself with Dmitri or that she would eventually bring him to his knees, that’s just who Keira is. She’s a conqueror, a survivor, and if need be, a stone cold leader. She’s so young, the youngest of the O’Malleys and yet she stepped into her role as a boss like a natural. She could have let Dmitri have all the control and let him protect her like a wounded bird for the rest of her life but nope, she wasn’t having it and demanded to be a full and equal partner to him. Dmitri had it right when he called her a queen, this girl brought her A-Game to play for keeps.

Let’s talk about the romance: The Bastard’s Bargain reaches new heights in chemistry and passion between Dmitri and Keira. In other words, grab your fans and ice water folks and if you’ve got a lover then grab them too because these two burn up the pages even as they work their way towards trusting each other! I’m not joking, this has got to be the hottest book in the whole series (Sorry Carrigan and James!). But as much as I could go on and on about how sexy these two were, I have to really point out their journey from a dangerous marriage of convenience to lovers, to partners in love with each other. Their romance was a stark contrast to their lives outside of the bedroom (Or stairs as one scene indicates… *fans self*), the author created a fragile thread of trust when it came to sex between Dmitri and Keira. When they were wrapped up in each other in the most basic way possible, they were themselves, raw, vulnerable, affectionate, and even hopeful in their future together. Those scenes gave them a chance to really see one another in a different light and slowly learn to extend that trust and affection to outside of the bedroom. I felt a real unity between them by the end and yeah, they are one of those couples that are stronger together than apart.

How about that supporting cast? All the O’Malleys except Sloan are back and while there will probably never be a kumbaya moment between them, there was a sense of understanding and grudging respect between all the siblings. It was a bittersweet moment for me when they were all in the same room. They’ve been through so much and have all managed to carve out a small piece of happiness for themselves but it cost them the little bit of a relationship they had to begin with. However, there was a sliver of hope that maybe these siblings would try and work out their differences. I’d love to have an update in the future with this family that has somehow wiggled their way into my heart and my favorite series list.

Click It or Skip It? Click It! Katee Robert pulls out all the stops with The Bastard’s Bargain and finally brings the big bad Russian to his knees in the most delicious way possible.

5 The Bargain That Pays More Than They Expected Stars!!!

OH EM GEE!!! I've been waiting for this story since I started this amazing, phenomenal and absolute MUST READ series by Ms. Robert.

Dimitri and Keira think they've made a bargain that will satisfy both of their agendas. What they didn't expect is the blistering sexual chemistry that pulls them in inch by inch. The intrigue, suspense and thrilling story takes us on an amazing journey. Ms. Robert has written a book that literally kept me on the edge of my seat in either a state of heart palpitating fear for the action that's moving at a lightning speed or clenching my thighs while fanning my face because Dimitri and Keira are literally the hottest, dirtiest and sexiest couple I've EVER read!!!

What I loved even more about this book is how Dimitri helps Keira realize she does NOT need to be the victim. She has the power to control her life and be the woman that he knows she's capable of being....

"'Choose now - perpetual victim of the role you were always meant to play.' What game was he at now? She tried for a belligerent tone. 'And what role is that?' 'My motherfucking queen.'"

And BOOM!!!! That right there had me wrapped around Dimitri's fingers and I will forever me his biggest fan because, well, he's freaking Dimitri Romanov that's why!

Ms. Robert has delivered the perfect story for Keira O'Malley and everything we've read up to this point was leading to this breathtaking and exhilarating novel in this thrilling series!!

Keira O'Malley is playing a dangerous game. She's been blazing a trail of self-destruction ever since the death of her brother Devlin. Now she's being forced to sacrifice herself for the sake of peace. That sacrifice comes in the form of delivering her body and soul directly into the hands of the Russian devil himself.

"Dmitri Romanov was striking in the way of fallen angels, his face a little too rough for perfection, his mouth a little too calculating and made for spilling lies, his gray eyes a little too icy to be anything other than exactly what he was-a cold-blooded killer who manipulated people to suit his purposes."

Dmitri Romanov has been watching Keira from a distance for a long time. He's witnessed her downward spiral with an ever-growing anger. No one has even tried to save her but he's about to change that.

Underneath that broken façade is a woman that he would give his life to call his own. As soon as the danger that looms over them like thunderclouds clears, he's going to prove to her that they can rule his kingdom - together. And in his kingdom, the king gives his heart to his queen.

"You have something to say."
Keira hesitated, but if he was asking, she might as well get it out. "I'm not ready to drink myself to death. That was never the goal."
"It never is."
Keira sighed, and let her legs slide to the ground. "I don't know how to do any of this, Dmitri. I don't know how to be in anything resembling a relationship, even if it's for show. I don't know how to lead. I don't know how to be a partner. I've only ever been a pawn."
"Never a pawn. A queen in waiting."

Dimitri Romanov is quite possibly the most perfect crime lord ever to grace the page! His intensity and determination to possess Keira - both her good and her bad - will have Katee's fans seriously swooning. But it's the unexpected strength of Keira that elevates the story to dizzying heights.

With its volatile chemistry, edge-of-your-seat suspense and searing romance, The Bastard's Bargain far surpasses all expectations and leaves you on an adrenaline high that is second to none…

I cannot say enough about how much I love this series and how much I LOVE Keira O’Malley! Mrs. Romanov really came into her own and I just adored this whole book. Dmitrj was super hot and their personal issues were handled wonderfully. I just need a follow up book. Like now. Go buy this book. Buy the entire series. And prepare to be blown away!!! :)

WOW! I have mixed feeling right now….one now that is a way to end a series, now my other feeling is of sadness because this series by Katee has really been a favorite of mine. I looked forward to seeing a new book on netgalley. So the end of this series is very bitter sweet to me!

Katee Robert writes amazingly! She has really abetted herself on my top authors list. The Bastard’s Bargain will not disappoint! (Just PLEASE be sure to read all the other books in this series) The storyline follows Keira O’Malley. She has always envisioned her picture perfect wedding day, but when it came to her present day special day approaches the groom Dmitri is not what she imaged as a child. But as time goes along Keira finds herself wanting him….but she will not make this marriage easy for him…….

The Bastard’s Bargain will not let you down! This book has it all… a steamy romance story line and a dangerous tension filled storyline!

This series is the nirvana of mob fans. Irish family branching out and intermarriage. It's the ultimate happy place for mafia fans. But this book....sigh, The Bastard's Bargain includes the Russians too. Huge sigh. Not just because he's dreamy, not just the accent, and it has nothing at all to do with the whispered words I needed Google to translate...It's all that and more!!!

It's sexy and dangerous. It's tension, it's lust, and it's balanced by those pesky emotion things. The Bastard's Bargain has family issues galore, plenty of implied bad doings, and dare I say...love.

It's the kind of bargain any girl would be lucky to have...

This is the way you finish the series. The O’Malley’s has been a great series with complicated characters.Keira’s story was the last to be told and it was not disappointing.Throughout the series we have seen Keira stuck in a loop of addiction since her brother died in the first book. Inthe last couple of books we have seen Dimitri develop an interest in Keira.
This book starts were undercover attraction ended in which Dimitri goes to get Keira from Boston while her brother Aidan is still in New York. He convinced her to marry him in order for their families to have a chance to come to peace.
From the beginning that has been a strong attraction between Dimitri and Keira. What was nice to see was that Dimitri saw the strong woman underneath the girl that was drowning in grief. He helped her to recover his strength. She held him to hold onto some of his humanity. They became an amazing power couple.
Story was compelling. It was wonderful to have a romance under all that intrigue. The stories of all the families struggling to retain their power has been fantastic throughout the series. This has been an amazing series of books and I am sad to see it end. All the characters in all the books have been compelling and multidimensional. The O’Malley’s is a series that has to be read.

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

I have hated Dmitri Romanov since his introduction several books back. He embodied everything that is hateful, so much so I wanted him dead. However, I have to admit I was a bit intrigued that he was going to have his own book. Frankly speaking, I wanted to know what made him tick and why he was the way he was. This book didn't give me answers per say, but I felt I got to know Dmitri better. What I found is that not every thing is black and white - there is a lot of grey. It's in the grey that Dmitri not only resides, but works from as well.

He can come across as the devil - evil incarnate, but he's also so much more. Especially when it comes to Kiera. I won't spoil it by giving a play by play of what happens, but I will say this - it was a long arduous journey and the end result is nothing short of a beautiful.

Katee Robert knows how to make it easy for one and all to love a bad boy. Dimitri is the kind of man that is used to being in control of everything and everyone in his life. But Keira isn't one to simply bow down and play along with having her life dictated to her. I loved that about her. She wanted to play the game as well - to be master of her own fate. That takes some serious guts, especially in light of who her father and family are. It was empowering to see her come into her own and be on the same level as Dmitri. I even suspect that he enjoyed it way more than it seemed.

The best was most definitely saved for last! Thank you Ms. Robert for such an engrossing saga - I never wanted the O'Malleys to fade away, but if they have to so be it. The only thing I would change would be epilogue ... I'd love to see where the family is at in a few years time.
