Davy's friend, Wendy Wildgoose, has been on a trip and her stories make Davy want to travel, too. Everyone in his family thinks traveling is a great idea until they realize how difficult it might be for a group of rabbits to go a long distance. In the end, however, they manage to take a trip they all enjoy without going too far, This is a wonderful story about family, working together and being satisfied with what you have, regardless of what others around you possess.
Thank you NetGalley, the author and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This won't strike the adult sharing this book with a youngster as entirely logical - the young upstart rabbit with high-and-mighty ideas about having a beach holiday finding the perfect substitute that his father seems ignorant of - but the target audience will lap it up. The illustrations are a big part of the appeal, with all the bunnies either walking in height order or tumbling over each over in towers of leporine larks. A very enjoyable book to share with a child, I'm sure.
What an adorable children story, with great illustrations and a very beautiful story about family, coming together and enjoying the little things in life. It is one of those enjoyable stories because being part of a great funny family is beautiful. A really pleasant reading experience.
Beautifully illusrated, here is a sweet story about a rabbit family and their attempt at vacationing. When original plans go awry (a laden-down wagon breaks when it can't hold all the stuff the family needs for a trip), Davy Rabbit has an idea for a simpler outing, which proves successful.
