This has a cute premise but the art style is only okay and the stories are made boring by the simplicity.

This is another fun book in the Little Tails series and in this book they go to the farm in search of milk! It has the same style of drawings that make the series so great and I loved the colour images of the animals they met along the way. The last few pages has some great facts about the animals they met to help little ones learn even more about them.

Farm stories are always a hit in our house. This book was fun and engaging to read at bed time. My daughter loved all the animals!

This book was really funny and made me laugh. I think that anybody would like this book and the animal antics.

The Little Tails books don't have much in the way of plot Jut comic strips of the protagonists seeing animals. Cute enough to page through. The format does allow two differently aged children to enjoy it at the same time.

Squizzo and Chipper are back and they're going to have to visit every far corner of the farm if they want to find some milk to enjoy. Young children will enjoy their journey and visit to each animal. The final pages of the book also contain informative text related to many of the animals encountered on their journey.

The illustrations are wonderful. There are black and white comic strip style graphics inset on large, colorful, detailed full page illustrations. The beautiful quality of the full page illustrations is sure to appeal to young readers. This is a good book to add to the library collection.

A very original take on telling the story of a trip round a farmyard to find some milk, with this main quest of a dog and a squirrel to retrieve said milk taking place in very basic cartoon form at the top of the page, and a much more colourful and detailed celebration of all manner of farmyard animals being displayed underneath as the characters above encounter each species.

It's very different, but the stark contrast actually feels quite jarring, and I'm not sure that the plot itself warrants too much merit, merely being a vehicle to drive the story round the farm to see as many animals as possible.

A book that tries something different is a wonderful thing, but I'm not sure that I'd say that the actual story itself is as good as the premise.

I'm sorry to inform you that I could not get this book to open on my pc in Adobe Digital Edition to do a review on it. I tried it multiple times.

I've found the combination between comics-like drawings and colouful illustrations very inspired for this very cute story farm story. It carries the reader on a short journey where the big and small animals at the farm are not only doing their daily jobs, but where also friendship are created and parties thrown. It is the kind of story you end up reading to your kid over and over again, because you, as an adult, you also love this book so so much. A simple message of friendship beautifully illustrated.

Chipper the dog and Squizzo the squirrel set out on an adventure to the farm next door to get some milk. They meet each animal on the farm and try to figure out which one will give them milk. The illustrations are a mix of comic strip-style panels with Chipper and Squizzo, with an absolutely gorgeous illustration of the particular farm animal on the rest of the page. I read this with my 2-year-old and 5-year-old, and both loved it. I had each pick a favorite page, and my daughter chose the sleeping cat and my son chose the goats in the tree.

Reading the book was a lot of fun and very educational. We paused on each page to talk about the noises the animals made, what they ate, and why they live on a farm, as well as whether Chipper and Squizzo could get milk from them. There’s lots of little fun details on each page that my 5-year-old enjoyed pointing out (“Mommy, the MOUSE is running so FAST!”).

At the end of the book, there’s a mini glossary of some of the farm animals with fun facts.

Overall, this was a sweet, educational book that both my kids and I enjoyed reading. They’ve already requested the hardcover version of this one, as well as the rest of the series!

I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Very cute and nice. I loved both the story of the two animals looking for milks and the big pictures that reminded me of my childhood.
Recommended to children and to those that did not kill their internal child.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Diamond Book Distributors

This was a unique combination of picture book and graphic novel. The backdrops are beautiful realistic drawings of farm animals, and in the panels is an adventure story about two animals making their way through the farm. It has a story to keep readers interested, and is also informational, thanks to the realistic paintings and the informational text at the back that gives more details on each of the animals. A great combo for learning and enjoyment.

A cute story about a puppy and a squirrel who go around the farm for getting some milk and they have many adventures meeting the other farm animals. Bright illustrations.

This was cute - and educational! The design is different and I'm not sure I like it: the story follows Chipper the dog and Squizzo the squirrel in a black and white sketched comic overlayed with gorgeous illustrations of animals around a farm. (why not just have Chipper and Squizzo in the regular illustrations?) Anyhoo, in the comic bits, Chipper and Squizzo introduce each animal as they traverse the farm in search of some refreshing milk to drink. I also loved the added information on the animals that was included in the end pages. This was a great way to introduce children to graphic novels, and to farm animals!

I'm a fan of the Little Tails series and this one is a very enjoyable episode.
Little Tails offers a unique and beautiful combination of graphic novel and stunning artwork/illustrations
depicting the various animals.
The story is a fun mixture of the adventures/travels of our two very likeable main characters and interesting facts, in this case, as expected, we learn about farm animals.
My children are always looking forward to new Little Tails episodes and so do I.
Because of the graphic novel format, this works easily for most agegroups.
I highly recommend the Little Tails, the books are definitely worth a look, the series is addictive and turns learning into joy.

Gorgeous art. Mostly it was realistic, but sometimes it took a cartoonish turn (no - I’m not talking about the cartoons). For example, the dog looks a bit silly. Some of these seemed out of place - some of the realistic animals seemed to be smiling. Or had human expressions.

I haven’t seen any other of the books of this series, but this seemed a bit odd. I did like the juxtaposition of the cartoons next to the art. But as a whole, it seemed to be lacking something - I’m not sure what. It had the feel of "I can't decide what the next book should be, so let's just throw something together."

A BIG Thank You to Netgalley and Diamond Book Distributors for providing me a copy of “Little Tails on the farm” by illustrator Federico Bertolucci and writer Frédéric Brrémaudin in exchange for my honest review.

Even though I am not a fan of children’s books, once in a while I pick one up purely for the illustrations. I am a part time illustrator and reading such books inspires me to draw as well. “Little Tails on the Farm” did not disappoint in this matter. The drawings by Federico Bertolucci are simply amazing! The illustrator provides a beautiful contrast between the main story, shown in comic strip format, and the detailed illustrations of the farm animals complimenting the story. The color palettes used are so bright and vibrant that it would surely capture the attention of young ones reading it. Some of my favorite images in this book are of the peacock and the ladybugs. I could keep looking at these pictures over and over again!

Frédéric Brémaud, the author of this book should also be complimented for writing such a fun and educational book. The main characters, Squizzo and Chipper, are a cute pair, and it was fun to see them interact and react to the various animals, as they go for a stroll in the farm in search of milk. What I liked about this story was that the duo decided not to focus on the typical farm animals like cows, pigs, horses and chickens, but also focused on other exotic and wild animals like the peacock and the ram. Another reason that I liked this book was how the author also included a variety of fun facts about each animal at the end of the book, giving something for grownups as well. In addition to all this, I feel that these kind of books would give young readers a good start in reading graphic novels, as the images are drawn in a very contrasting manner that’s pleasing to the eye with big fonts.

It would be very hard for anyone to dislike this book! I would have surely cherished this series had I read them during my childhood. Being a grown adult, I am wanting to pick out all the previous books in the series even now and read though them all! Overall, I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would, and am giving it 5 stars.

It was OK. I don't have a lot of experience with this kind of children books. It was just more on kids targeted book than I expected. For max 5-year-old ones probably?
I'm a bit out of this age.
