I love Rachel Van Dyken’s books. Love dirty exes. I didn't want to put it down. Enjoyed reading every second.

2 "It Was Ok" Stars

Sadly, this story or theme just didn't work for me.

The characters didn't really hold my interest, apart from Colin, but even he wasn't enough to satisfy me. The concept seemed a little immature and just didn't hold my interest. I found myself skipping over pages and even the ending wasn't enough of a reward for my perseverance.

This won't be a series that I will continue with I'm afraid.

I have a feeling that I will love the second book a lot more than I liked this one. For one, we won't have a sort of love triangle and the main characters have already proved that they have more chemistry than we could possibly need. Isa's guy is going to be the party that was left behind on the love triangle and you can find who that is by reading the blurb for the second book. Why would someone spoil a book (aka dirty exes) before it was even released it's beyond me. At least I knew who to root for, because none of Blaire's choices was good enough for me. Jessie is married and a little blunt and Collin is even worse. He falls on all stereotypes a playboy like him could fall and in some part of this book he is like "Blaire will never be with me and I ain't good enough for her" and he slept with both twins after that thought. How am I supposed to root for either of them? Well, I didn't and that's why the book will get three stars from me. I would have gone with 4, but the lack of a good hero messed things up. Both options were bad. The only time I liked the man Blaire ended up with was in the epilogue. The epilogue also held the most romantic scene that made me a little softer while writing this review. Blaire and Isa were two of the strongest parts of the book.

4.5 She Was Mine Stars!
The Dirty Exes is the first book in the Liars, Inc. series, and it centers around Blaire who is the sister of Ian Hunter from The Matchmaker's Playbook. Blaire lives in LA, and doesn't have the best track record with men. She met a gorgeous guy named Jessie Beckett who she dated for three weeks before it all ended. He was traded to Pittsburgh to play football, and chose his career over her. Then she rebounded into a marriage that ended in disaster. The only good thing to come out of all her man troubles was meeting her best friend and business partner Isla. They bonded over both being women scorned and started Dirty Exes Private Investigators where they make it their mission to serve justice to cheaters. They get proof for their high profile clients.

Blaire is stunned when she learns her latest job is to uncover dirt on her ex Jessie Beckett. He's the one guy she compares all others to. Her game changer. She thought she'd once been in love with him, and he was the most delicious man she'd ever met. He'd become the fantasy of her perfect man, and suddenly that image is shattered when she suspects he could be a cheater.

Jessie is a retired NFL quarterback going through some personal stuff in the public eye when he runs into a blast from the past. His love life was a mess, but he couldn't help the feelings he still felt at the sight of Blaire.

As Blaire is doing her job to expose Jessie she meets his best friend Colin. She's never reacted so strongly to a stranger. He's a distraction she doesn't need, but she can't help being drawn to him. He's got a man bun, tattoos, and looks a bit like Tarzan. He complicates everything when she finds herself stuck between wanting the one that got away, and his playboy best friend.

Both men want Blaire, and become jealous of the other. One looks like the all american good guy, and one the typical bad boy. Blaire battles her feelings with her insecurities, and doing what's right. One man wants a date with the only woman to hold his attention, and the other wants a second chance. Blaire wants one of them more than she's ever wanted anything in her life, & she can't walk away. They give in to desire and the connection between them, but will Blaire get her heart broken, or finally find lasting love?

I really loved this book! It was my first by Rachel Van Dyken, and I couldn't put it down. It's about an attractive, independent, successful woman who risks her heart for the most beautiful love, and learns to trust again. This book is a love triangle, but not the kind that tears you up inside. I adored both of these wonderful men, but was thrilled with the outcome. The story has many twists and turns, tons of humor, and plenty of heat. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, and more by this amazing author!

Can I just say that RVD is like fine wine...her stories get better and better with time. She's one of my go-to authors when I'm stuck in a book slump and she's never disappointed me. Ever.

Dirty Exes is the first in the Liar's Inc. series and it was catchy, swoon-worthy, and, in RVD fashion, entertaining as hell.

"You're more likely to accidentally shank a guy than to sleep with him. The Blaire I used to know would always get herself into impossible and sometimes violent situations."
"Hey!" She thrust that giant purse at me again. "It's not my fault that I attract the negative from the universe."

When we first meet Blairs she's in a...well....stinky situation and it quickly becomes clear that she tends to find herself there often. She works with her now best friend as a PI in the cheating business and things are going well for them. I liked Blaire's character immediately. She's honest and personable in a way that "normal" people can relate to.

When a blast from the past enters her life, she starts to worry and wonder about everything that could have happened back then and what's really happening now. I don't want to spoil anything, but when I thought I had the plot line figured out, RVD threw me a curve ball and omg what a curveball it was!!! I wasn't digging it at first, but then I was swept up in all things romance with these characters and by the end I could not throw my heart at them fast enough.

"...keep looking at me like that and you won't get a story."
"Sorry."
"Don't ever apologize for eye-fu*king, it's rude."

RVD has a way with words and it definitely shows in Dirty Exes because you'll be laughing your hind-end off one minute and then falling head over heels the next. You get a montage of emotions and a few POV's that make this book even more exciting because it made me even more ready for book two!!!

Overall, I loved this book. It was light, funny, and endearing in all the right ways. I can't wait for more of this series!

This was a fun read with some angst and a bit of drama. It’s got the love triangle feel to it which I’m not a fan of, thus some of the angst on my part. However, I’ve read other love triangles by this author and they are pretty easy to work through unless you like a really deep, deep love triangle. I actually loved the way this one worked itself out. This has the typical Van Dyken humor which was perfect and characters that I fell in love with and curious to see what’s going to happen next with them.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a fun book to read overall but the characters were kind of hit and miss. Blaire is still angry over her cheating ex-husband and longing for a guy who she dated for 3 weeks years ago. She has such low self esteem that it took some time for me to start liking her. Jessie was a confused guy who wanted to leave his wife but also didn’t want to hurt her and it was frustrating to see his back and forth with both his wife and Blaire. The best part of this book was Colin. He was charming, flirty and totally went for what he wanted unapologetically. I also loved Isla’s character as the strong willed best friend.
The writing is very easy to get through and I finished this in a single sitting.

I loved this book. I’m not normally a fan of love triangles but Rachel knows how to do them. I’m a huge fan of Blaire’s. She is a strong female character that picks up the pieces and moves on after her husband cheats on her. Jessie is her ex and even though their relationship was short lived it left and impact on Blaire and after her marriage ended that had her questioning herself. Colin is Jessie’s playboy best friend.

Blaire is hired by Jessie’s soon to be exwifeto spy on him to see if he is cheating. Colin decides to help Blaire in her quest anfofcourse antics insue. I don’t want to give anything away so you will have to read to find out what happens next. I will totally read this book again and would have given it 5 stars but the love triangle reminded me of another one of Rachel’s books that I have read recently.

5 Stars

Dirty Exes by Rachel Van Dyken is the first book in the brand new series Liar, Inc. it is a spin-off of the Wingmen INC series but you don’t have to read it to enjoy reading this! ((I highly recommend reading it though because that series was AMAZING!)) Rachel Van Dyken is an exceptional storyteller that brings her A-Game to everything she writes. Dirty Exes was hot, steamy, and OMG did I swoon! I laughed out loud so many times that my cheeks were hurting.

I am going to try to give as little details as possible because I feel you need to go in an experience it for yourself ...With Blaine being hurt in her past, she is determined to save at least some people from what she felt in the past. When her past collides with her present, she is wary because she doesn’t trust easily. When truths and lies are revealed, decisions will need to be made.

I really need to find the words to express how INCREDIBLE Dirty Exes was! The chemistry between the characters and their banter!! I just can’t even wrap my head around how much I loved them and the relationships between all of them. Dirty Exes was well written and I NEED the second book NOW!!!!

Dirty Exes was a great book. It was a funny, sweet love story following Blaire, the sister of Ian Hunter from Matchmakers Playbook. She and her best friend Isla have a business as PI trying to catch cheaters in the act. After one of their clients comes to them to follow her husband, Blaire soon finds out she has a past with him. Blaire, Jessie, Isla and Colin are great characters. I love the banter between Blaire and Colin. Another great book by Rachel Van Dyken and can’t wait to read the next book Dangerous Exes! I recommend this book!

I completely loved dirty Exes by Rachel Van Dyken.
Recently divorced Blaire and her friend Isla have a PI company, exposing cheaters live on Facebook. When a new client approaches Blaire to investigate her cheating husband the man just happens to be a blast from Blaire’s past an ex named Jessie. Never in Blaire’s wildest dreams did she think she would come face to face again with the start football player who broke her heart. It’s While trailing Jessie, Blaire almost blows her cover thank god for the hot tattooed bartender Colin who helps her cover...too bad he’s Jessie’s best friend and a total flirt. Torn between Jessie and Colin who will Blaire choose?
Dirty Exes is a fun and entertaining read, that you will not be able to put down. Lovable characters, and an excellent story line that brings on all the feels. I cannot wait for more from these amazing characters!

Dirty Exes is the first book I've read by Rachel Van Dyken. I've heard good things about her work and Dirty Exes proved these correct. I thought that Dirty Exes was going to go one way, then another, then another. I wasn't quite sure how it was would play out in any decent way. Turns out Rachel Van Dyken surprised me a very pleasant way. Dirty Exes is definitely not what I expected and it kept on surprising. I definitely will be picking up more of Rachel Van Dyken's books.

I received an advanced copy of this book for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I really enjoyed everything about Dirty Exes! I haven’t read many of RVD’s book but I need to change that ASAP!

Blaire and her friend, Isla, are the Dirty Exes who catch cheaters in the act. They were recently hired on to catch a guy cheating on his wife and it just so happens Blaire knows him very well. In fact, he’s the one that got away, Jessie. But while spying on Jessie, she meets Colin, who happens to be Jessie’s best friend. And this is where the story took such a crazy, yet perfect, turn!

Dirty Exes has a little piece of everything all in one..there was romance, friendship, lies, laughs, betrayal, cheaters and love. Blaire, Jessie, Colin and Isla were all excellent characters, even though I felt at the beginning there was one I “shouldn’t” like...he quickly became my favorite. Dirty Exes was a fun yet drama filled story that I enjoyed! I look forward to the next book, Dangerous Exes!

I haven't read a lot of RVD, but what I have read so far, has been super fun and entertaining. After Dirty Exes, I was left feeling like I was holding a mixed bag of emotions. Did I love it, I really liked it but I'm still conflicted. Blair is 1/2 of the PI duo making up Dirty Exes. For reals, this chick has issues that she's never resolved, and her day job seems to make them fester a little. Dirty Exes has been hired to prove her ex, football star Jesse, is a cheater. If that doesn't stir the emotional pot, then let's throw in Jesse's BF Colin, for some comedic relief. I really loved Colin the best, he's quite perfect for Blair, after all.

Dirty Exes isn't your typical boy meets girl, roll into the sunset kinda story. It's fun, smart, a little twisty, and a little gritty. Overall, I had a great time reading this one, and if you're a RVD fan, you won't be disappointed.

What a great book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading “Dirty Exes”. When the book started I was hoping for one outcome, then I was completely torn on what I was hoping was going to happen. By the end I was completely going the opposite way from where I began and hoping everything would turn out just the way it did! I loved the ride. I loved the romance. I completely fell in love with all of them! Second chance romance for all of them – how can you not love that!
I can’t wait for the next book! I hope it’s for who I think it is and that the seed that was planted, grows and blooms to something just as beautiful as what Blaire found.

I have yet to read a Rachel Van Dyken book I didn't enjoy but this one was another hit for me. Blair was a woman who turned being scorned into a successful business. While I didn't always think she made the best choices I still feel like I understood her. Overall, Dirty Exs was sexy and fun with engaging dialogue and a unique story that was a blast to read. Can't wait for more from this new series.

A new series by Rachel Van Dyken means two things for her readers, memorable characters and hello hot sex that will make you want more. At first I wanted Jesse but then we get to learn more of Colin and all bets are off Team Colin all the way. The attraction between him and Blaire is filled with comedy, hate and passion. These two are perfect for each other making Rachel Van Dyken devious making her readers think one thing then a twist. Loved it and cannot wait for Book 2 to see what will happen with Dirty Exes.

When your love life is taken over by cheating jerks, what do you do? Start a PI agency to help others get rid of the cheaters in their life and blast them on the internet! You know what they say about women scorned?

Years ago, Blaire had a thing for Jessie that she never really got over. Jessie chose the NFL and Blaire moved onto a man who cheated on her with her best friend. Fast forward years later, and suddenly Jessie pops back into her life - and then his partner hires Blaire and her partner to investigate him for cheating. Oh, the world is a small, ironic place in an RVD book!

As Blaire is trying to get the goods on Jessie, she meets his best friend, Colin. Let's just say that Colin had me wanting to hang out in bars a lot more often. Colin is funny, sexy and just what the doctor ordered. But now we have the dilemma - does Blaire choose Colin or Jessie?

I LOVED this book and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. It was hilarious, steamy and full of enough angst (from the male and female perspective) to keep me up late finishing the last page. I loved how it turned out - and as with any RVD book, I was left wanting more!

I enjoyed this book so much! Rachel is one of my favourite authors because she never disappoints in the meet cute department and extremely relatable and fun stories.
Now about this story in particular.

Blaire felt like she was broken, she didn't let people see it or accepted it herself, but you could tell that whatever happened to her broke a piece inside and now she was just drifting by in life, trying to punish cheaters and helping broken people like her.

Meeting Isla was a life saver, together they filled some of the missing pieces they had both lost and their friendship was stronger because of all the pain and love shared between them.

Running into Jessie was the last thing she ever thought could happen, and him being one of her targets was worst case scenario on steroids. She was definitely not over him and now she had to seduce him and frame him, things were about to get really interesting super fast.

The one thing she could have never expected was Colin, he was everything she had always been warned about, cocky, full of himself, and a player. But there was something about him that just made her happy. She found herself thinking about him in the strangest ways and times.

Could this new thing be good for her or would perusing this ruin her chances with the guy she once thought was the love of her life?

The reality, is people change and Blaire might not be the same person she was when she felt for Jessie. Her needs had changed and so had she. The boy she once knew was maybe no longer her happily ever after guy after all.

And now she faced something even scarier, opening herself up to someone knew and unknown, risking her battered heart one more time.
