It was an ordinary love story. A mediocre summer read. Wasn't a huge fan of the characters, they annoyed me more then once in this book.

An interesting, cutesy read which I really enjoyed. The characters were well developed throughout and the writing style was basic but very readable. The kind of book which is just nice, emotional and warm to read.

Snooze! From the very beginning this book just bored me. I didn’t click with any characters and just didn’t care what happened to them. DNF.

This one actually took me a little to get into, but once I did I found it to be a cute rom-com with the enemies-to-lovers and opposites attract tropes we all love.

A great easy to read book which focuses on Sara a very successful lawyer and the newly appointed court guardian for Ethan. Ethan is a waster who comes from a rich family and being out of control with his spending needs someone to keep an eye on him.
Great to read all about these two characters and their ups and downs.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book which i thoroughly enjoyed.

The book tells the story of the two main characters - Sara, a very successful lawyer from New York and Ethan, a rogue, money flaunting playboy from a rich family and heir to a family fortune and how Sara, falls 'Accidentally in Love'.

It is a funny book detailing the power struggle between the pair as Sara is hired by Ethan's family as a last resort to try and get him back onto the straight and narrow. Ethan is wise to the ways as previous lawyers have tried and failed, but he doesn't bank on Sara's tenacity and determination. What follows is their story, with ups and downs but ultimately a happy ending. This is a great summer holiday read as long as you know what to expect - yes it is predictable, but most rom coms are - enjoy it for what it is!

An entertaining take on a developing romance between an unlikely pair, great for anyone who loves to read chick-lit.
I loved the strong female lead and found Sara a no nonsense girl after my own heart. I enjoyed the banter between the pair and think Anna did a great job of building a relationship between two such conflicting characters.
This was a genuinely funny book that I thoroughly enjoyed and had me chuckling away to myself - it's a quick read and a perfect holiday read that I would recommend.

That well-known phrase "Opposites attract" is definitely true in this humour-filled novel by Anna Premoli.  With a power-struggle that is as comedic as it is endearing, the characters of Sara and Ethan kept me interested and wanting to know more.

A fun-filled plot and great characters make this book a light and cheerful read, and I think it would be the perfect beach-side read this summer.

***stars from me.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

Review: This sounded like a very funny story. I was not wrong. Having not read a book by this author I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. A really good written book with a love/hate relationship which is not fast paced. Characters are strong throughout. A funny and witty read.

I liked this book very much and I read it in one sitting. Not exactly hate to love relationship, because there was never hate, only two stubborn persons. All in all, it was cute and funny.

This is a really fun and well written book, a love story but in a very unusual and clever setting with a slow burn of a story. it wasn't as predictable as many romances and lots of humour and strong support characters. It's a very engaging and well paced book, I enjoyed reading it.

I was really into the story for the first few pages but gradually, the constant bickering between Sara and Ethan was wearing me off. It was really funny and but I have a certain limit after which I cannot handle any more "funny-ness".

The author has experimented with the male character Ethan. He isn't the usual alpha male who keeps changing sex-mates on a daily basis. Ethan is the total opposite. He isn't a CEO of a multi-million dollar business empire, he doesn't dress-up in suits, he isn't intimidating. He is alcoholic (not exactly the bad kind), has platinum highlights in his long hair, is fond of black and dresses up in black all the time, has a problem of keeping his shirt on, is afraid of spiders, behaves in the exact opposite manner than a person would expect him to.

Ethan's character was definitely fresh but, I would have preferred if he wasn't as dumb as he was in the book. Sara is uptight which is believable considering she is a lawyer. She has a controlling streak and successfully keeps Ethan under control who is a spoiled person otherwise. His bank account has never been under control before Sara came in.

The writing style is good, it has a nice flow. The narration is also bearable.

The Blurb :
Sara Di Giovanni is a successful lawyer in New York City: she is the star of her profession, an excellent role model to her very vivacious little sister, but has so far been unlucky in love...
Ethan Phelps is the rich playboy trouble-maker whose only talent in life is spending money and dating women... That is until Ethan's father dies with no will to his name, leaving his two sons the legal heirs to his billion-dollar company.
Sara is forced to become the court-appointed guardian to handle Ethan's share of the fortune, as his family do not trust him to manage it himself. Sara thinks it should be easy, but it's not so simple when Ethan is determined to get rid of her by whatever means necessary...
What ensues is a dramatic and hilarious power-play between Sara and Ethan... but what will happen when feelings start to get in the way?

My Thoughts :
Ethan Phelps, comes from a rich family, is a waste of space, spends money like water and has a drinking problem. When his dad suddenly dies, Ethan is left a percentage of the family business and unable to make any sensible decisions it is decided that he needs a guardian to over see his finances and this comes in the form of lawyer Sara Di Giovanni. Ethan doesnt want Sara in his life, so does everything to make life difficult in the hope she will resign. What continues in the story is a lot of arguments, point scoring and a massive battle of wills with Sara always being one step ahead of him.
Has Ethan finally met his match?. Or will Sara walk away!.
Although this took me a whille to get into, I did enjoy the story and the trials and tribulations of Ethan and Sara. It was an easy read and Anna Premoli captures the relationship well with the main charactors.

This was a genuinely funny book that I really enjoyed!

It is a very easy read and the characters are great - it is a steady plot that keeps you engaged and I flew through the pages doing my normal just one more chapter at bed time until I realised I was very near the end so might as well finish it!

This is the second book that I have read by Anna and will definitely be looking for more of her books in the future - this is a really enjoyable, light-hearted read that took me away from the day to day tasks. 4 stars from me - highly recommended!

Sara was a patent lawyer who was on a case between Apple and Samsung. But she hated weekends as she would rather be busy. Sara is a very hard worker and has no social life. This weekend was her younger sister’s birthday. She was going out to a club and wanted Sara to go with her and her friends even though that wasn’t Sara’s thing. Sara had been a good role model to her sister. Sara has never been lucky in love.Ethan was the son of one of the founders of the Phelps and Phelps department store. A judge picked Sara to be guardian over Ethan. There had already been three guardians who had quit no matter what the financial pay had been. So Ethan was determined to run Sara off and make her resign also as she tries to reign Ethan in.She was chosen to hired to oversee Ethan’s finances and stop him from making poor decisions. Ethan is used to live in an extravagant way and if he is not already an alcoholic he is on his way. Ethan doesn’t want anyone court ordered. to control his money but Sara had been court ordered.
I didn’t really care for this book. I did chuckle at times but for the most part this really dragged for me and I was basically bored. I do tip my hat for Sara refusing to be ran off like the other three guardians before her. This just didn’t hold my attention and I didn’t finish this book. Maybe some backstory would have helped especially if it showed why Ethan was why he was acting like he was. I am sure others will enjoy this.

This novel is full of unexpected situations and witty repartee – it is a battle of wits, and an entertaining read!

Ethan is a waster who comes from a rich family. Never having had to worry about money he has created for himself an easy life of expensive tastes, even spending time in rehab – and more than once!

Sara, on the other hand, is a respected lawyer who has worked hard to get to where she is today. Specialising in patent law, she is currently appearing before the Judge who knows Ethan’s family and the problems his lifestyle causes them. Impressed with Sara’s no-nonsense and efficient manner in tackling the opposition in court, Judge Richter hits upon the bright idea of appointing Sara as his new guardian in charge of his financial affairs. Surely her tenaciousness will succeed where all previous appointees failed? After all, there can only be so many who will run for the hills faced with Ethan Phelps!

And so begins a battle of wills with Ethan finding out fairly rapidly that his old tricks don’t have the same effect on Sara as her predecessors. What follows is a wonderful battle of wits and point scoring, with each trying to get the better of the other. As Sara struggles to stay one step ahead, Ethen must dig deep ..

This is a well-written, warm book which – although slow to begin with – soon captures the reader’s attention, providing plenty of chuckles and more than a few smiles along the way.

Having read Stuck with You by Anna Premoli, I decided to give this a try.

Accidentally in Love is a sweet and funny read about two people who are kind of thrown together because of circumstance. Sara is a lawyer. Ethan is wealthy and for him money is no object. He's out of control with his spending and attitudes in life, and needs someone to keep an eye on him.

Who is that person? Yes, it's Sara.

Ethan and Sara are very different. Much of the book is filled with their conversations as Ethan whittles his money away backed up by the argument that "it's my money and I can spend it how I like." Although true, I did find his attitude self-centered and annoying after awhile, as well as slightly immature.

I did enjoy the scenes where the banter between them got more relaxed natural and playful.

While his superior attitude seeks to one up Sara, I liked how strong she was in her comebacks in not always giving him what he wanted.

She can't help but become attracted to him over time. There are some romantic scenes too.

I really liked how Anna Premoli represented the relationship between Ethan and Sara, but I felt the characters needed more depth, background and to be fleshed out more. I felt like I didn't really get to "know" them as a reader.
I did like Sara's sister and she seemed fun.

Overall, Accidentally in Love is very fast paced with a good representation of a chance relationship between two strangers. The cover is very fun, too!

Thanks to Anna Premoli and Aria for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Received an ARC at no cost to author (netgalley). Opposites attract that is the premise of this book. We have Sara a go getter and a lawyer, and while she is successful with her professional life she has no social life and is pining for a chef who doesn't even realize she is there. And then we have Ethan a spoiled playboy, who needs guardians which is a nicer word that baby sitter. Sara ends up being the newest guardian, and a challenge to Ethan and they are off..It was a slow for me I personally like it a little faster but it is not bad.

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten any book reviews in. Quite frankly, January completely kicked my bum. I’m telling you – I had so many plans to get all the reading in. And it just didn’t happened. In my defence, I spend 4 days taking oral exams, 6 days supervising written exams ànd the rest of the time correcting about 350 exams. Luckily, there’s been some reprieve. Long live Netgalley for the ARC’s, and long live Anna Premoli’s Accidentally in Love and its perfect escapism!

So as I already said in the intro, I got to read this book via Netgalley – all opinions are mine though. Accidentally in Love was actually already published in Italian last year, and is now getting its release in English. Lucky for me, cuz – while I understand Latin? Reading Italian is just not gonna be happening any time soon 🙂

CHARACTERS
If you think you know what’s going to happen? You’re probably right. I mean, this is that kind of book. I was really pleasantly surprised by the way the romance was set up. Especially because, as you might expect from the description, there are definitely some ethical dilemma’s that need to be considered throughout this book.

First of all – I loved how the meet-cute. Again, it was semi-obvious, but it does give you the chance to meet Sara not in function of Ethan. Throughout the rest of the novel, that’s something of a rarity, so it was pleasant to actually get that little bit of insight into who she is.

Sure, even then, we mostly get to know her as opposed to her sister, but still.

(By the way – this might just me, but I felt as if there were a couple of set ups that could totally introduce a novel featuring just Sara’s sister, so I will be looking out for that!)

As for Ethan, I have some more remarks. Sure, he is made out to be understandably upset at his family. However, there’s some clear indications of actual mental problems (OCD, maybe? Anxiety? Alcoholism – affirmed). None of those excuse his behaviour – which, at times, is just down right mean. What’s more problematic to me? None of those seem to be resolved or properly addressed throughout the novel. The last time, a little. But come on – no one gets over their absolute phobia of germs by just sitting in a dirty cinema.

That’s not how it works!

OVERALL: 3/5
I originally gave this one a 4 but looking back now – and especially because of the whole Ethan- thing, I felt compelled to take it down one star. What saves this novel? Its narration. There’s just enough detail and action to keep you interested, without going too far away from the prime romance.

In general, I had a really good time reading it – I literally got through it in just a couple of hours. Don’t expect too much of a deep story. Do get ready to go along on a wild ride of tricks, stubornness and some legal jargon. With a bit of romance thrown in, of course 😉

Accidentally in Love is out this Thursday! (February 1st), so definitely check it out on Amazon (affiliate link) if you feel like reading a fun love story that feels like it has some depth to it!
