The characters were so unlikeable. It’s hard for me to enjoy a story where I can’t root for anyone. All of the women came across to me as being selfish and hateful. Sadly, not one even seemed to like herself very much. I prefer stories about strong women who help each other. These women were neither strong nor helpful.

A look into the sorority life. Catty women, full of drama, and lots of pledging. This book isn't my usual type of read but i enjoyed it. There was a lot going on and a lot of characters to follow but an easy read overall.

Thanks NetGalley!

This book takes an interesting look at Greek Life. While I found it to be quite interesting, especially since I never took part in a sorority, I did find the narrative to be confusing. There were too many people!

I'm always drawn to books about collegiate greek life because I belonged to a sorority in college. Yet every time I walk away feeling disappointed in the view the author takes on sisterhood. Sorority by Genevieve Sly Crane was no exception.
Crane tells the story of one house on a campus in Massachusetts. The beginning sets up each character and for me there were too many girls to keep track of and remember who was who. Once they are all introduced the bulk of the book features the perspective of one girl in the house and a vignette of their life and experience. I enjoyed the writing of each character and wish the author would have just jumped in with this part and skipped trying to introduce each girl in the beginning. If I was reading a hard copy of the book I could have skipped back to check the introductions with the featured chapter, but this is not easy to do on a document copy on a kindle.

I was hoping this story would all come together in the end, but it did not. The writing style was engaging, but the overall story doesn't have a cohesive plot.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this book.

Sorority brought me back to my days living in the sorority house, granted my experience was (thankfully) lacking the excessive drug use and dead girl that this book has. The book is written with various sisters taking the lead as narrator throughout the book. This gives the reader insight on everyone in the House. While I enjoyed this multi narrative novel, there wasn’t much going for the plot. I kept waiting for it to all come together and it never did. And I’m still trying to figure out if it’s a ghost story.......
