This is the first installment in Lisa Renee Jones' Poison Kisses. This is a spin off from the Dirty Money Series with Seth's story. It is told from his POV. I thought it was amazing. Seth, labeled The Assassin for reasons you will learn and Amanda, labeled The Poison Princess are great together. Neither one trusts the other and their backstory will be told throughout the series. I loved that Seth treated Amanda as his equal and she was very much a kick ass heroine and can hold her own. I received an advance copy from the author and publisher and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Rating 4.5 Stars.

I loved the entire Dirty Money series. Every character in those books, whether villain or hero, was so well written. The story was intense and the situations believable. I was sad to see it end. Then comes Poison Kisses. It’s the book I didn’t know I needed but I’m glad Jones wrote it.

Seth was an enigma in the previous books. He was highly effective but we got very little of his back story. To be honest, I hadn't really found myself wondering what came next for him. After reading Poison Kisses, I'm so glad to get this insight into him.

Can we talk about the attraction between these two? It’s off the hook. Even now, when they hate each other, they can’t keep their hands to themselves. The sex was amazing when they were in love and equally so now that they hate each other.
Unlike Seth, the reader can listen to what Amanda is saying and realize the there is something evil going on, someone setting the pair up to believe the worst of each other. There’s no hint at why or what the bigger picture is. There are so many questions left unanswered, keeping readers hanging off this cliff waiting for the next book(s) just like with Dirty Money.

Jones gives the reader plenty of great characters, complicated situations and hot attraction. I always know her books will be great reads and Poison Kisses meets and exceeds all my expectations.

I loved reading the fabulous and fantastic first book in the Poison Kisses series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy through NetGalley. Amanda Larke and Seth Cage are forced to work together again. Even though there is still chemistry between the two spies and feelings smoldering below the surface, Amanda and Mark's trust has been broken. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and full of mystery and intrigue. Can't wait to read the second book in the series!

Poison Kisses: Part 1 was simply FANTASTIC! This author has given us two very sexy, yet dangerous and confident characters that gives as good as they get. The Assassin and The Poison Princess are such a perfect pair. The chemistry is undeniable and as they play their deadly game of seduction and pleasure they also know every action has a reaction. Will they be able to do what needs to get done or will they end up killing each other first? I loved the back and forth banter between Seth and Amanda and as the mystery and clues as to what really happen is revealed, will they continue to play their deadly game of seduction at its deadliest or will their hearts fall even harder and faster in love. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. I highly recommend it to all readers.

Amanda Larke made me want her. She made me trust her. She made me love her. Then she betrayed me. And now, a madman brings us together again and before our battle with him is over, I will make sure that she never forgets my name: Seth Cage. The Fixer for The Brandon Family Empire, but to a covert CIA operation, I will always be The Assassin. When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book i couldn't put it down.D.B. Reynols is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of het books.Keep up the great work.

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for an honest review. I'm a die hard LRJ fan, I've read almost everything. I will admit I haven't read End Game, the last book in the dirty money series yet, as I hadn't realized it was out. That's unusual for me, being I note in my calendar when my faves have books coming out. I contemplated reading that before I read this book in case there was something important being that the hero in this book is Seth Cage who works for Shane Brandon, but used to work for the CIA. One never truly leaves "The Company" and he gets pulled back in to find his former partner, Amanda, so they can save the world, or kill each other, eh, which ever happens first.
This book alters between present day, and the past when they were a team for the CIA. Doesn't matter which time you are reading it's a fast paced action packed story.
It does end in a Cliff hanger, and I knew this going in. That's a classic LJR move, for some authors it doesn't bother me, and she's one of them. Being that all three books are to be released within a week of each other, I had planned to wait until the third one hit my kindle and then read them all at once. That was before I had an opportunity to get my hands on an ARC :) Now I just have to try to get the others, but since I'm going to be on a cruise *sigh* that probably won't work out for me.

Poisen Kisses part 1 by LRJ will seriously not disappoint! I absolutely loved it and Part 2 cannot come out soon enough.

Seth is sent to protect or kill depending on the circumstances bane of his existence, the women whom broke his heart 3yrs ago, and has been haunting his dreams ever since.

Amanda has spent the last 3yrs in hiding only to come face to face with the entire reason she ran for her life to begin with, but when so many lives are in peril can she and Seth put there difference aside until one last mission is complete or will the their tortured past get in the way.

Omg!!! I just cannot get enough, when the truth comes out whose going to be left standing...

This is such a good book. It’s a spin off of The Dirty Money Series. We always knew Seth Cage was scary but we didn’t know just how dangerous and lethal he is. Part 1 gives us backstory on his and Amanda’s history. They hate each other but love each other still. They both want to kill each other. It’s a story full of contradictions. I can’t wait for part two. Received an advance review copy in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley

The author does a wonderful job of my making her characters come to life Seth and Amanda are both very stubborn but I think they are very suited to each other..The story kept me on the edge of my seat. Will they get a chance to discuss the past while trying to stay alive and stop terrorist threat.
I can't wait for the next installment.

Lisa Renee Jones is the queen of breathless. Poison Kisses proves that. Seth and Amanda are intensely sexy. Their lambada of dangerous love and smart manipulation is the ultimate for any fan of cat and mouse thrillers. Not only are the characters seducing each other, their setting the bait to lure in the reader as well. The only flaw is that I have to wait to see what happens next.

I enjoyed this book's premise of a spy thriller/romance combo. It reminded me of The Secret History of the Pink Carnation in a modern setting. I appreciated the strong female character that Amanda presented, in stark contrast to the weaker women I'm used to seeing in romance novels. There have been several different plot lines woven throughout the story, and the adventure has drawn me in.

I didn't like how aggressive Seth was at times, not on the job, but with Amanda. It was a little too Fifty Shades of Gray in a couple parts. I do think Seth's character development was on point. I related to him more as the book progressed.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this book, and I look forward to reading the next installment.
