Poison Kisses by Lisa Renee Jones is Book Two in the 'Poison Kisses" series. This continues the story of Amanda Skye and Seth Cage. Since this is the second part to their story you really should read the previous book 'Poison Kisses Part 1'. This book does start right where the last one left off. Amanda and Seth are still trying to deal with their feelings of attraction and mistrust...but they still have to work together.
Really enjoying their story!

Poison Kisses 2 is the continuing story that involves Seth, the Assissan, and Amanda, the Poison Princess, and their quest to find Franklin before he pouts his devious planin motion to poison potentially missions of people. I love the twists and turns in this book, the rekindled relationship between Seth and Amanda happened quickly, but the distrust is still there. Will be interesting to see where Bear plays into all of this, his story is definitely not done. Can’t wait to see how this all ends!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book book.

What an intense middle chapter in this 3-part killer suspense. The author sets her two hard agents pitted against each other in a face-off in close quarters. I found it so arousing! Accusations fly along with demands for answers. They have to delve deep into what happened three years ago, and the plot thickens as more of the past resurfaces in flashbacks. The present mission gets darker, too.

Seth tells the story from his POV again, his feelings for his deadly scientist as powerful as his intent to uncover all the murky details of why she disappeared and if her guilt can be proven. Sleazy dealings and bloody terrorists tangle with hot reconciliation, all in that suspenseful and calculated style that the author masters. I truly love how she deals with stormy feelings while describing passionate lovemaking. Gorgeous!

And the cliffhanger in this installment is just awesome, heart-wrenching and oh so thrilling. Love it :-D

This is obviously part 2 of Seth & Amanda's serialized story by Lisa Renee Jones. This is not a standalone novella. I'm going to try and keep this spoiler free for part 1 & 2 but be warned I might accidentally slip up so I recommend you read the first part first. I would hate to spoil something for you.

Poison Kisses Part 2 stars off right where Part 1 left off. Seth and Amanda are still challenging each other but I will admit the circular "I hate you, I love you, I don't trust you, You have to trust me" definitely got a little bit repetitive. I kept finding myself annoyed when the cycle kept repeating. One thing that I have liked so far is getting to know Seth more. We never truly got a feel for him in Dirty Money so this has been a treat for me. Even at the end of Part 2, I still wish that I knew more about Amanda. She is a wildfire character who we don't seem to get to truly know.

The plot line is still interesting and I like the characters but I really wish this was a full length novel instead of a serialized story. I just kind of forces you out of the story when you have to pick up part 2, and now 3.

All in all, I do like this and I would rate it 3 1/2 stars.

Poison Kisses #2 picks up right after the first so they cannot be read out of order!
As we pick up in the second novella in the Poison Kisses series, it hits you with a bang once again as the passion heats up and truths are exposed. They are divided yet united as they try and figure out who is playing them. It is tense, sizzling and so much more as these two are racing against the clock essentially. Then you are left with a killer ending! What is going to happen? Who is behind it all?

Poison Kisses Part two takes place where Part 1 left off and we get to finally learn what happen that night Amanda left. We get down to some of the questions we have been asking ourselves “Why did Amanda leave that night?”. Seth has been living with wanting to know why the woman he loved with his life had a kill order out on her and left without a word. They lost someone that night she left, and Seth has lived with that night for 3 years without answers. When they share their stories of that night they don’t know what to believe and who to trust. They both love hard and when they thought the other betrayed them they fell apart. In part two of this series they find a common ground and start working together to find the answers they need. They have stumbled upon something, but it will not stop them from clearing their names and finding their happy.

Part two gives us even more questions and you get to see a different side to Seth and Amanda. You get to see what happens when they give into their desire and love for one another. They work so well together on page and with each scene their chemistry gets more intense. Part two does seem to move at a faster pace and was a lot better without so many flashbacks of the past. The story is still being told in Seth’s POV and I love the inside of his dirty mind. He can get you hot with just his words or looks. When he and Amanda spar with words they bring a heat and love in all things they say. If you are ready for more of Seth and Amanda and looking for more answers, then you must continue to read Poison Kisses. All questions will still go unanswered but keep you curious as to the what, why, and who.

Poison Kisses Part 2 picks up right where Part 1 ends, Ms Jones continues Seth and Amanda's journey and it doesn't disappoint again. Seth and Amanda have resigned themselves that they need to work together but the more time Seth spends with Amanda he begins to realize things are not what they seem. The second part of their story is filled with romance and them learning to trust again, along with trying to save lives.

Ms. Jones continues the story from Seth's POD which I love. The next part is truly about Seth and Amanda coming to terms with their past and how to move forward to their future. The writing is fast paced with action, mystery and lots of romance. This does end on another major cliffhanger but don't worry the end is near.

Poison Kisses: Part 2 picks up right after that cliffy we got in Part 1. So please note that it cannot be read as a standalone.

"Wet heat consumes me until I'm buried in her, and when we look at each other, a world of hate, love and damage radiates between us, somehow all as right as it is wrong."

Seth and Amanda are still trying to figure out what happened three years ago. They are straddling that line between love and hate and they continue to distrust each other about their past. At the end of Part 1, we are left with just thinking that we are going to find out what happened that separated them three years ago and why they are where they are now. In Part 2, they are still trying to figure it out. Just as the start to trust each other, new things come up and suspicion is back.

As we get glimpses into their past, it's clear that they love each other and it's still clear in the present. Both of them are fighting their natural instincts that make them who they are in order to attempt to try to trust the other. Yet again, just as I think we are about to get some answers or are in a better place, we are left hanging. I don't mind the push and pull between the two. I can understand being hurt in the past and trying to recover from that an move on with that same person in the future. For me, it makes me want to root harder for them.

So here I am now, anxiously waiting for the last installment so I can find out what is going to happen. I look forward to getting more Seth and Amanda and their constant battle of wills and passion.

For the love of all cliffhangers! At least I have #3 in my hot little hands and can start that right away! Just when you think Seth and Amanda are hitting their strides to taking down the bad guy so they can get on with their life something else gets in the way. There is a lot of going back and forth with telling of the past and moving forward with the present and just when they think they have forgiven each other and the trust is back something is thrown in their path. Will they overcome it and work through it. Guess we will have to find out...

GAH!!!!!!

Poison Kisses Part 2 by Lisa Renee Jones is the second book in the series and picks right up where Part 1 ended with Seth and Amanda’s story. Questions are answered and the sexual tension between them is really heating up. The danger becomes more intense and you just can’t wait to read the next one!!! I love this series and highly recommend it.

A tense start to the 2nd part of Poison Kisses, the spin-off set in the same world as the ‘Dirty Money series’. Seth and Amanda are safe for now, but with only themselves to rely on it’s hard to know who to trust, except each other. After just a few days together, the love they shared 3 years ago is back, as if it never left. But, now they’re on the trail of a new threat, one that could kill thousands.
But, just as they start to let their guards down and fully embrace their life together as a couple, another shot comes out of left field. Amanda is left reeling from a message she read on Seth’s phone and now she wants answers and she won’t stop at murder to get them.
Is this really the end?

~Received a copy from the author through Netgalley for an honest review ~

Part 2 begins right from where the first part has ended, with Seth and Amanda on their way to their new assignment.
As expected, this part of Seth's POV, is as high as the first one.
Full of action, suspense, questions and of course the never ending doubt between the two agents. I can't wait to see how it ends between these two.
For once I wish this was a whole book, and not a three part story. It just kills me with every ending.

This picks up right where it left off in the first part, and I was glued to the pages right through.

Amanda reveals her reason for her past actions and Seth realises that something is amiss. They discuss strategies and come to a truce. The reasons behind what led to the current situation remain a mystery. The questions are who and why?

The chemistry between them is as sizzling as ever, but the trust issues are not so easy to overcome. It's fast and sensual. The suspense is killing and makes for a compelling read. Just when it looks like there might be some light at the end of the tunnel, something else goes drastically wrong. Here it ends with a "How did that happen?" What happens now! This story has really kept me on my toes and left me with anticipation.

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

So bummed...I am really struggling with this story and these characters. It feels like we are just going around in circles. I hate you...I don't trust you...sex...I hate you...I don't trust you...sex...rinse and repeat.

Poison Kisses: Part 2 starts where Part 1 left off. So, yes you need to read part 1 first. This is a spin off from Dirty Money and you don’t have to read it but, it is a very good series.

OMG! What an ending! Yes, it is a HUGE cliffhanger but, fortunately Part 3 is on my kindle and I will start as soon as I get this review written.

The suspense in Poison Kisses is so good and the chemistry between Seth and Amanda is amazing.

Amanda is the “Poison Princess” her choice for kills is “poison”. Seth and Amanda are both ex CIA agents. Seth accepted an assignment to kill Amanda but he says he took the assignment so no one else would get it. I don’t want to say more because I don’t want to give anything away.

I enjoyed Poison Kisses: Part 2 and I give it 4.5 stars and I am starting Part 3 now.

WOW! What an ending to part 2. I am loving these books as I really liked Seth in the Dirty Money series! You did not have to ready the Dirty Money series to read these books. I think that Seth and Amanda are great together and there is a connection between them that only they understand. There is the hope that they are on the same page, but the training that tells them they need to be careful and trust no one.

Just when you think they are on the same page and they are moving in the right direction..... one more thing happens that causes Amanda to question everything all over again.... Can Seth explain things, will she believe them? Is there hope for them to solve this case and then be able to find themselves with each other?

Diving into Part 3 because I can't wait to see where Lisa takes Seth and Amanda.....

"Just remember. Poison me too soon, and my tongue will never get to all the places you like it."

Poison Kisses: Part 2 is like turning the next page, not starting a new book. Fortunately, for those of us that have read several books since then, the author gives her readers a recap to get our heads in the right place as we pick up right where we left off. That's right, with our jaw dropped.

Amanda & Seth have been separated for three years. When she left, she disappeared, and even he couldn't find her using his considerable skills and contacts. She wasn't found until she was ready to be found. And when they saw each other again, they discovered that their passion for each other had not diminished in the least. But their trust had taken a hit. They went from lovers to enemies to lovers, but what about the love? Could that be salvaged along with the trust? In trying to determine who the bad guys are, they couldn't exclude themselves, the Assassin and the Poison Princess. When the evidence is against them, how do they decide who's telling the truth? Does the heart lie?

Talk about a major cliffhanger, this one is a doozy. I'm again left with my jaw hanging and my heart pounding. I admit that it was my love for this author's work that had me willing to read whatever she decided to write, not even caring what trope she tackled. But I find myself completed invested and digging this James Bond style of espionage. The secrets and suspense, the danger and drama, the mystery and mayhem are addictive and I'm ready for the next installment. See ya there.

4.5 stars

Poison Kisses 2 starts off with a showdown between Seth and Amanda trying to call a truce. They both don’t want to admit that they have feelings for each other and that they are wrong about things but by the time they land in Texas they have mostly figured everything out.

The Poison Princess and The Assassin come together again to play a role for the agency and all the while start to make plans with each other. As you’d expect, just as everything is falling into place, something happens that makes Amanda question Seth and that’s where it ends…..
