This I believe is the 2nd book in the series even though I didn't read the first I did enjoy this one. The characters were developed the story flowed smoothly. The book is based on the mother finding love in an assisted living facility which the twins aren't too happy about when their mother decides to marry the guy. While reading the book I was shaking my head trying to figure out who did. I good whodunit book.
Eve and Sunny are back again in A Manor Of Murder.
Twin sisters, Eve and Sunny share a close bond and are the apples of their mother's eye, usually.
When their mom finds romance in her assisted living facility, the girls couldn't be more surprised. More shocking is the news that she is getting married, something that sets off red flags and fireworks.
The sisters have a connection to mom's love interest, they are working on renovations in his nephew's home.
When a fight ensues, the sisters find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery so twisted it will leave you shaking your head.
I enjoy the relationships in this book, it showed the honest reality of most families.
I was pleased with the ending and I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.
This is a delightful mystery featuring identical twin sisters, Sunny and Eve, who co-own a home remodeling and repair business together but who also seem to get mixed up in murder investigations. They are concerned about their mother who wants to get married to a man she just met at her retirement home. The two women get into an argument there with their client Edward who also happens to be a nephew of Mac, the mother's new boyfriend. When they go to retrieve their tools from Edward's home they find him murdered in his new bathtub and since they were known to have argued with Edward they appear to be suspects and try to find alternate possibilities to present to Detective Willet. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially the close relationship between the two sisters and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good cozy mystery.
