Sins of the Son, the second book in Linda Poitevin's Grigori Legacy series (recently re-issued under pen name Lydia M. Hawke) certainly does not suffer from the "sophomore slump" the way many series' second books do. The action is still fast-paced, the character development strong. Several new characters are introduced and complicate our main characters' lives quite a bit, both professionally and romantically. To say too much more would be involve spoilers for both this book and the first in the series.

And I absolutely love Poitevin/Hawke's vision of Heaven and the God/Lucifer relationship. I found it unique at the time I read the book, and still find it intriguing years after the series concluded.
