Wow, just wow. Vigilance is back at it again, the attention to details really matters. I bet Blake never would have guessed that his crazy stalker would bring the girl that he let get away back into his life. Without Warning kept me guessing who did it throughout the whole book. I loved it!
A really good story, that kept me on the edge of my seat. Blake is an author, who is being stalked, and has no idea who or why. He hires a protection team, and is assigned Sam (who he actually dated once back in high school). She is not happy to see him, but the sparks are still there, and they slowly work their way through to getting back together. All this time the stalker is still there, and causing issues. I would highly recommend this book and author.
Yee haw! We get a heroine who is saving the hero for a change! The fact that they are shall we say old friends just adds to the fun!
Blake never forgot Samantha. He was an idiot for listening to his friends and essentially ignoring her after their own actual date. He had been so drawn to her for a while. But he is now older, wiser and a bestselling author too boot. But someone most definitely has it in for him! All the little notes are downright creepy!
Sam is now ex-military and new member of Vigilance, based in her hometown of Arrowhead Bay. But her professional demeanour goes flying out the window when she realises her next assignment is Blake. Her reaction is strong to say the least!
I loved the torment Sam and Blake go through. All their old feelings surface again and it could make the assignment messy but both seem willing to try again. However, Sam has some baggage that isn't really revealed until near the end which makes her skittish attitude towards Blake, and relationships in general, a bit more understood.
I loved trying to figure out whodunit and I flopped back and forth a few times and was left reeling when I figured out the "bad guy"! Superb writing as usual!
I like this story, I can imagine this happening in high school through peer pressure and regretting it for a long time but fortunately this pair got the chance to right the wrong. The reason for the stalker was kind of obvious but who it was, was really the only misery.
This was a good second chance romance. There was definitely attraction between Blake and Sam, but the way she acted at the end turned me off her. Blake was extremely likable and warm, while Sam seems cold and distant throughout the book. In a twist, she is the bodyguard in the book, so some detachment is expected, but I just never liked her all that much
The mystery and the story, now that I loved! This was a good mystery, without a lot of twists and turns, but with some straight up 'whodunit'. It was fresh and different, and I enjoyed it way more than the romance storyline
